Hopes and prayers that the rio grande valley doesn’t get hit. The rgv gets catastrophic flooding because of tropical depressions. Can’t imagine what beryl would do if it intensifies in the gulf.

Do these models account for the much higher than average ocean temps? I feel like they keep on underestimating the strength of these weather events because they’re using old hurricane data, but we’re entering a new era of weather extremes.
he explained that with the comments about wind shear. but, it was suppose to weaken and hasn't done so as much as thought. basically, it's an educated guess and we'll know once it's over next week!

Run away (if/while you can). Don't hide in the attic with rising flood waters.
And have a go bag with food and most importantly water. If your house is not in a flood zone then store food and water in your home as power outages may cut power for days leading to issues accessing clean water.

If anything from this storm makes it to Texas it will be rain… no hurricane survives a few miles past the coast. They always turn in to tropical storms and eventually die off.

If you really care, you don’t need to send “thoughts and prayers” and then go about your day. Either do that privately or do something physical to help people. For example, there are lots of great charities (not the Red Cross) that do good work. Or, you could always volunteer to help in the relief effort.
Please don’t give money to the Red Cross, that organization is a complete mess. Direct Relief is a far better organization.

I was watching Force 13's channel yesterday morning. They were saying Beryl's winds had unofficially gotten to 175 between releases but had weakened in the same 4 hr period. So in my mind 175 was what it was depowering from. An ominous start to the season.

Like bro I get it a lot of people want to know where the landfall is but it's not all about the landfall that's the weak part of the storm the east side is the strongest so if it goes up to Northern Texas that means Southwest Louisiana is going to get the worst of the Louisiana definitely needs to be watched I'm not talking about New Orleans New Orleans thinks there only ones that get hurricanes down here when it's mostly the Southwest Louisiana that gets the hurricanes they're never going to let Katrina go even though it wasn't a hurricane that did that to New Orleans it was their levee system😂

Nope. This may be the worst year so far, but it’s only going to get worse each year.
