Six years ago, Will tripped and fell - causing a traumatic brain injury and a really difficult condition called CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. He had to re-learn how to walk, and he had to use a wheelchair, walker, crutches and cane.
When Will went back to school after his injury, his classmates teased him for his disability. People who he thought were his friends would make fun of him and he felt extremely alone. He felt like no one had his back.
Will started hating himself and developed severe depression. As a result, he started to make the wrong choices. He began hanging out with the wrong people, experimenting with drugs and getting in trouble. He started getting into fights at school, and eventually he was expelled. Will was struggling, and he had to find something positive in his life to make a change.
Eventually, Will found a new school to go to, and the school offered an off campus working program. He was given the opportunity to work at Access Equestrian - a therapeutic horse barn where everyone was extremely nice and welcoming.
While he was there, Will met an incredible horse named Two Socks. Two Socks was so beautiful, and he had the deepest, warmest eyes. Will instantly felt connected to Two Socks. Two Socks made Will feel grounded - like he had real purpose in life.
With Two Socks' help, Will was able to change. He started to open up to people, and he even sought out therapy. Will started to change his life and abandon all his old ways - all because of one special horse.
Tragically, Two Socks left Will this year. However, even though Will is so sad that Two Socks is gone, he will never forget what he did for him. He is a stronger person today because of Two Socks, and he can confidentially say to himself, "A Horse Saved My Life." Click here to see more stories: storybooth.com/

I always considered horses to be extraordinary animals and I can tell Two Socks was one of a kind, seeing how he helped out Will and saved his life when he was going down the wrong path.

Seriously how low can a person go to make fun of and insult another’s medical condition? So what if he has a cane? Thank goodness, he has found someone who wouldn't judge him.. This is what is therapeutic and amazing about animals, they never look at people the same way humans do.

This really shows the benefits of any kind of healthy therapeutic activities whether it’s due to with animals, music writing, or art. He even knew that two socks passing would make him stronger. Amazing story and Rest In Peace Two Socks.

That is a really heart touching story. It's sad that Two Socks passed away but he will always live in his heart. People these days need to stop bullying other people with health problems cause who knows maybe something like this will happen to them. Please, respect and help all people

It’s stories like this which make me thankful that my school was good on bullying
I was what I would be called a “weird kid” but I never got bullied as my school took it VERY seriously (which is how it should be)
Its true school should try harder but do nothing but slap on the wrist of the bullies, I was bullied but got painted as the bad guy but I'm glad I've finished school for few yrs now 🙂
But we bullies knows no bounds. We are willing to kill their parents and forced the teacher to work with us. We bullies will RULE HUMANKIND!!!

My heart goes out to you; no one deserves to be bullied. It is despicable that the people you thought were your friends would betray you by making fun of your condition. I'm glad you were able to find happiness. It's amazing how either one person or one animal can positively change your life by giving you friendship and love.
I just wanna go up and give this poor kid a hug. He literally went through so much. I'm glad Two Socks was there to comfort him when he needed it most. Remember that no one deserves to be bullied, ever period.
My family was gifted a 5 year old OTTB mare. She is the sweetest girl and has a huge personality. I went through multiple traumatic life changing events in the past 4 years including developing disabilities, coming out and a suicide attempt. She doesn’t have much training but wants so badly to learn and please people. She has improved my mental health more then any medications ever could. I also have to relearn how to walk and will most likely have to have surgery on both ankles so that’s fun.
Update: She was stolen, I’m probably never gonna see her again-

Once I heard Two Socks passed away, I started tearing up. I'm glad that special horse was able to help Will. Rest in Peace Two Socks.

I really love horses~ I had a pet white horse who died a couple of years ago when I was young, and She was literally my best friend. The last thing I remembered was laying next to her and singing to her until she passed..🌟

My family is the source of my life because with out them I would not be here today.
This person is the childhood friend of my older sister’s. He was always like another older sibling figure to me and still is. I was never told about this situation that happened with him but I can understand how hard it would be in that position. I am proud of him for getting through all the pain and distraught and I am happy that this was shared with many others

I had a similar story to this, when I was young I had a horse named Loba she was a Lusitano horse & she lived in Mexico with my grandparents on there ranch, I always hung out & took rides with her everytime, me & my family visited there, unfortunately during the pandemic we couldn't travel there as much & my grandparents didn't have enough money to take care of her anymore, so they had to sell her, ofc I told them to give her to a family that would love her, sadly I don't really know who my parents gave her to, I just hope and pray, that she is having a great life 🐎❤
Lastly all I want to say is RIP Two Sock's he sounded like a real friend to a lot of people 🐴❤

But I never went off the wrong path.
Also, that be an old horse.
I needed a video like this to come along, this is really nice and im happy that things got better for this guy and that he found the right people and the right horse.

Now That's is definitely what people love to talk about when someone is having hard times, life going no where and try to go through a terrible situation, but after if they had a person or animal that help them it can help make a difference and try to make people to feel happy again

That was a heartwarming story, i'm glad that Will had found a friend who helped and saved his life from the wrong path that he was going doing in, and thanks to Two Socks, Will is a different person and going down the right path! Honestly, i always find horses amazing and extraordinary animals, and they can be loyal companions to us humans too. I remembered that i used to have a friend who is a horse that always follows me around when i was a kid, and he was a beautiful horse too. I sadly can't remember his name, but i will never forget him and our time together.
OMG, no one ever talks about CRPS!! I also have it, I was diagnosed at the age of 9. I am now 19, but it still impacts every aspect of my life.
It really is such an isolating condition. I relate to this story a lot.

As someone who volunteers at the same place as Will, I can attest and say that Two Socks really is one of a kind when it comes to horses. There was just something so special about him that I have not seen in my 10 years around horses. I miss him every day.
I learned a long time ago that no one is truly gone as long as you keep their memories close to your heart.

I rode horses for therapy and it was amazing, because animals aren’t judgmental all they seek is unconditional love and they’ll always give it back.

As someone who owns a horse, horses are the best therapy. People make fun of those who like horses but don’t realize what they’re missing out on. Horses have such a deep understanding of emotions.

i have a cat. her name is cleo i got her last year and nothing can explain from how many stuff she has saved me. our neighbor gave her to me when she was a kitten. our neighbor moved. he was such a nice person he was like an angel that came to save me with this little cat. i wish i could tell him how happy i am he gave me this cat

I also developed CRPS and horses were a huge reason to live for me. They really helped my recovery!
My dog passed away this May. Like Two Socks she was a super hero, we often called her a wonder dog because she did wonders. She touched everyone’s soul and was truly the most lovely dog I’ve ever seen.
My horse Stormy has helped me countless times. He's my best friend and has never left my side.
I go to this riding place called Horse Harbor Foundation, they rescue horses and train them to be therapy horses. There were two horses that I loved more than anything or anyone else. One was named Sunny, and the other was named Grace. They both passed away, and not a day goes by when I'm not thinking about them. Sunny helped me to not get so frustrated when things go my way, and Grace was just a great listener. I'm riding a new horse named Texas Trouble (Tex for short), whose teaching me to be more assertive. The point I'm trying to make is, horses are magical creatures. They reveal a side to us we didn't know we had and teach us lessons that stay with us forever.
This made me cry. The trust and connection between animal and human is amazing. I had a cat who was like a dear sister to me and when she had to be put down, it tore me apart and it changed me. She made me a better person though and i miss her everyday. She was 1 year old and it sucks that she couldn’t live a longer life here with us..
as someone who is an active equestrian, horses really do change people. Whenever I go riding it’s like therapy for me, I feel so great when I’m done ❤️

Animals have an impact on your life whether bad or good, they come into your life for a reason. Also, being bullied for a medical condition? People are so awful and cruel to do that. Glad this horse changed this boy's life.

I was in equestrian therapy when I was younger. I honestly don't think I'd be as confident, calm, or strong as I am now, without them. They are such beautiful, gentle, empathetic creatures. P.s., a horses coat is at it's softest when they grow their winter coats. Once you feel it, no fabric or blanket ever measures up. Of course, during winter months, all they care about is getting food and keeping warm, not cuddling.
Two socks isn't just the best... He is the greatest horse that heal and support people what they go though tuff time, I'm pretty sure two socks is watching other them by now. thank you two socks for being people close together and he can rest easy. 💐
I really feel you, that is exactly what I felt with my cat, she passed too and it was so hard, I'm missing her every day, she even changed my way of thinking about a lot of things in life, I'm so grateful for this period of my life, too.
horses are the best animal to have for support, especially when you create a bond with a beautiful amazing loyal horse. i would know because horses save my life over and over again
