I've neglected Tanikaze so far as I have other Sakura Empire torpedo focused Destroyers and Light Cruisers but I might come back to her later on. Thanks for the video! 🙏❤️✨
She is one of many DD's that can be slot into a vanguard with Noshiro or Jintsuu for solid burst torp damage on a Sakura fleet. However, there are about a dozen DD's that can fit very well in that spot, and the only thing she has that sets her apart is her target designator with only 17% proc chance.
One of my favorite vanguards uses Noshiro, Shigure(retro) and Yukikaze... leading to high torp damage and quite solid survivability for a DD based team. Or I will sometimes go a little crazy and use Noshiro, Naganami, Jintsuu and just pray that Naganami lives long enough to nuke everything with torpedo barrages and double loaded torpedoes at start.
If you are looking for more torpedo damage from your vanguard, there are many DD's that give it to other DD's of their class or to the entire vanguard. Fubuki comes to mind for the former, Kasumi for the latter. Neither buff is all that amazing, and Fubuki especially is lacking in many regards, but they still have damage buffs and are usable.
The top 30+ destroyers in regards to torpedo stats are Sakura Empire, except Shirakami Fubuki and Z1 Retro who manage to barely sneak in, you are spoiled for choice when looking for a high torp Sakura DD.
Thank you. One of the more annoying thing I have noticed with the AL Tubers is the lack of regular ship reviews. I mean a lot of you have covered the SR's, and Top Tier elites, but it helps to get a idea on the other ships so you can make different fleets.
Yeah I notice that is a common theme among most creators. My series was to be two fold, me to experience more ships and learn them *and* to pass that info on. I've encountered delays due to life commitments, but I'm working to keep the series going

Tanikaze was actually used in the past ex boss. Completely surprised me when I saw fleets for it with her being in it.

A detail that was missed: *Highest torpedo stat in the game.* Only recently dethroned by Shigure's retrofit.
I give her a repair kit and fire extinguisher and stick her in the middle. She always outlives my cruiser (Bel-chan), and quite often wins the day afterward in PvP. Not that I care much about that, but still. Third member is Mutsuki because I'm stubborn.
Don't tell anyone, but Mutsuki...actually matches both of them for damage.

I prefer Kagero-retro , the skill is better + constant buff for torps. Also her torp stat is bigger the ayaya

I think her sundress skin is cuter. But she gives the impression of being all in on torps. And her debuff is something CAs can use too.
I have her at 120 200 oath, she is just too cute that tsun tsun+yamashiro at the start of the video killed me >-<
(her torpedo debuff skill..I've used it once with Jintsuu + double oxy +10 she was hitting without the procc for 14k and with procc..up 20k)

It might be a little bit, but I can easily answer this for you. They are the best Non-PR Ironblood Heavy Cruisers in the game. In PvE, their skill makes a major difference as it works against the most common enemies in the game. However, it will work against them when fighting enemies that are heavier than that (CA,CV, CVL, BB,BC).
Spee and Deutschland are different despite being sisters. Stat-wise, Spee trades firepower for a little extra health. Deutschland has more firepower, but less health. Nonetheless, both can help out very well in PvE even if not in a Ironblood Loyalist fleet.
There are cruisers that will beat them, but they are both still pretty solid for their setups.
