    Your intro 🤣 Polar always has wonky launch times here in the USA because they're based in Finland and do a "global" launch. Nice one dude! Really covered all of the bases.

    I’ve got the polar pacer pro. I’ve not experienced problems with notifications personally. I use an iPhone. I thought it just mirrors the phone. As far as the watch goes I’m a fan of its design and I’m very glad it’s not touch screen. Sorry but polar just doesn’t do touchscreen that well. Plus I think it’s more convenient to have buttons then touch screen when training. Lastly I think polar flow is great. I think it gives the average person just what they need without over complication. Great video thanks.

      I also like the pace of your speech. I'd rather scroll to the parts I want and listen versus going into settings and reducing speed or having to scroll backwards because i missed something from fast_talkers (just me? I hate that especially if I'm listening while multitasking)....feels like wasting time to me). Again I like your style.

      @@fitgearhunter it’s my first sports related watch, since Timex Ironman (I’m old). So it’s been a bit of a challenge figuring out all the options. But, I know how to record my workouts so that’s great 😁. Seriously though, I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for the most thorough review on YT!

    Great review! Thanks for sharing your experience with. How do you see the pacer (not pro) compared to the ignite 2. In my country they have same price and didn't see much differences in features.

    Bought and returned it. I went for two swim sessions and in neither did record any activity, despite the fact that my other watch recorded 660 & 1200 meter.

      So sorry to hear! Yes - I don't track swimming on this channel unf - only primarily CrossFit and HIIT. I would look to Garmin for swimming - I have heard they are much better - and look at the new 255 - it has all of the latest features as well.

    I feel that polar flow is superior in some aspects, like the ackulilation of time in heart rate zones over weeks, months and years. It is great for evaluing intensity between different periods.

      Yes I really like the simplicity of the polar platform. I feel like it keeps everything really streamlined and simple and easy to track and follow. Thanks!

    The sensor/s used at the back of the clocks are better for the Polars than Garmins? Yes?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад

      Not better than the current Garmin offerings. The latest sensors for the latest Garmin watches are slightly more accurate than the Pacer/Pacer Pro

    Hi what's your favourite watch?. Also what watch has the biggest screen need a new watch to replace my garmin 235 like the garmin 235.

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад

      funny you should ask - just released my 'favorites of 2022' video! I think the 255 is an incredible watch but if you can afford $499 the 955 is the single best all in one watch on the market for the price - by far. Also - the 255 screen is 18% larger than the 235 or 245

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад +1

      Yes the decision by Sinto to switch to a different heart rate manufacturer was a really bad one. It has not been good since, and definitely requires connecting to a chest strap or arm band

    Great page! I’m looking for a fitness tracker/ watch that shows the recovery / sleep / strain stats. I looked into whoop but after watching your and others reviews I’m now looking elsewhere. could this clock perhaps be what I’m looking for?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад +1

      Hey! Yes this is a good simple and affordable solution for sure. I’m finishing up testing the HR accuracy as well so will have that video up at some point soon. The best option for more money is currently the Garmin 945 LTE, Instinct 2 (much lesser screen), and Fenix 7 (much more expensive). This one is great for the price

    • @RadenMan
      @RadenMan 2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the reply! The instinct 2 is one I’ve been really interested in and also the 945. Which perform better in your experience for the stats I currently looking for?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад +2

      @@RadenMan only look at the 945 LTE variant. The original 945 still sold has older sensors. And the instinct 2 and 945 LTE perform the same! Put the 945 LTE includes full mapping, it has a much better and very much brighter screen, music storage, and other minor features

    Heart rate vs apple watch series 7?

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  2 года назад +1

      Not even close honestly. I mean the PPP is tracking well (haven’t done the technical analysis yet, two more days) but the AW7 is just crazy close for an optical. Like 95% and I’m gonna guess the PPP is 90% or slightly less. The bigger thing about the Apple Watch is that you can flop it around, push it up your arm, do whatever you want, and it somehow just keeps up. That’s another thing that’s crazy about it is it just finds the heart rate and tracks it. But all that being said the PPP is initially showing great accuracy, above many, many other optical sensors when doing CrossFit or HIIT

    you would have preferred to compare this with garmin fr55, they usually have done that in other comparisons.
    have found a second hand polar pacer pro for about 170 dollars. would it be a severe downgrade from garmin instinct 2 solar tho?
    damn, i am becoming a gps watch geek.

    • @fitgearhunter
      @fitgearhunter  Год назад

      Yes good questions and points! I do think it might be a bit of a downgrade! Garmin just does so much on the instinct 2 variant that it feels like it would be a big divergence to go to the polar pacer pro
