Parents: " ... Ok let's watch!"
it's 3:30 right now in Australia and I only now noticed... no sleeping lol
@@cadyen1410 dont u mean 03:3 ?
sorry..
I think the selling point is definitely the fact that it's a perfect replica of the one in the game, I don't really care if it's a bit hard to play, as it is mostly a display piece
As a left handed Boi
I am happy
Yeah same Lefties unite!
I am right handed.
I'm too
Back when I was looking for my first ocarina, I considered buying Tenrai's OoT. I thought it'd be better to learn how to play left-handed at first so I could play ocarina like Link. However, the price tag was a turn-off for me. I've been rocking Songbird's seven hole OoT for years!
Wow, even the certificate is modeled after Zelda’s letter!
That particular Ocarina looks extremely hard to play. I’m surprised they made the design ingame work in real life. Does it hurt you fingers to have to bend them so high to reach the lower holes?
I bet so many people interested to buy one just stopped watching because it was left handed.
No offence left handed people.
None taken
I’d recommend Songbird’s version of the Ocarina of Time if you’re right handed, it’s no different from Tenrai’s version of the Ocarina of Time except that it is much cheaper than Tenrai’s $380, going for about $35 on their website and $30 on Amazon, Tenrai’s version is definitely a good version, in that it is accurate to the game, and benefits for those who are left handed, other than that, it is way too pricey for a replica of the Ocarina of Time, and unfair to the 10-12% of people who are left handed
i love how the official art has a finish like a bowling ball
not the kind anyone actually ever owns, but the kind available at the alley.
David I love you, but why must u say OAK(tree)arina when it should be OC(topus)arina? :D
It’s closer to the way people pronounce it in Italy, and they invented it so...I’m going to trust them 😂
I would depend on how people pronounce it (it's like "to(may)to" vs "to(mah)to")
@@DavidErickRamos I guess that makes sense, but I always thought that the ocarina came from South America during the times of the Inca/Aztec/Mayan
@@seanmcd.8307 The way to pronounce the game would be "Oak" arina of time, since the game is japanese and the "O" in japanes is always pronounced that way.
Awesome video, as usual, David!
Extra awesome is that your ocarina is the sibling to mine, seeing as yours is number 90 and mine is 91:)
it's weird that i have never noticed that the Ocarina of Time itself is a Left Handed Ocarina. i know link is left handed, but to go as far as giving him a left handed ocarina too is interesting.
That looked hella cool. When I get the money and space, I'm definitely getting that
TIL what a filange is!. Looks very authentic to the game! Also sounded like the Ocarina was hovering around B, rather the game tunes being centered around D!
That's a "phalanx" (plural "phalanges"). :-)
This is pretty ironic.
I’m left handed but I have trouble playing left handed ocarinas actually it’s almost impossible for me.
My right hand has problem in it’s tendances, it’s kinda har to explain but I can’t angle my right ring and pinkie finger that easily, some notes are just very hard to do because of the way you have to move your fingers and it actually hurts. This isn’t a problem when I’m playing a right handed or pendant ocarinas.
Can you do a review on the Teacarina
Man, you should review some pendants! I just ordered a Mini Dragontooth & I’m hoping it was a good pick!
Great review David, Looking forward to your review of the CODA from Mountain Ocarinas. The previews have me a little puzzled at the fingering. Hope to hear your thoughts on it.
Awesome review David! I've been waiting to see this ocarina review for a while, and I'm so glad you showed how all the holes can be played. Probably the best looking Zelda replica ever! (Though It doesn't look that comfortable to hold, I'd be so worried about dropping it. 😓😂)
Cool review man. I’d get this but damn that price tag! Lol
Could you review a few different contrabass ocarinas, such as the ones sold by imperial.city ocarina and songbird ocarina?
i subscribed and liked because he had an N64 Shirt on. and for the ocarina themed channel. mostly for the ocarina stuff.
Finally a left handed Ocarina as i am naturally left handed so it would be easier for me to play than normal Oracinas....never mind they are sold out
The certificate is Zella's letter from OoT
Left handed ocarina? I find the normals just as comfortable if not more. I can play lost woods , ocarina of time, epona's song, song of healing and minuet of forest all in a comfortable grip as a lefty
Fantastic and an interesting take on the OoT.
New style channel!
I recently got the Concerto Alto C from Songbird and really enjoy playing it! My only complaint is that the low A is pretty hard to hit, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong exactly. Any advice?
Good job,, Dave...
Say?,, what is the loudest and the quietest ocarina out there?
Thanks, ,, I am looking for a quiet one...
Feliz navidad...🎄🎄🎄
How do change tone like that, to make a song besides just blowing into it , I just bought a ocarina a few days ago btw
I've been playing Songbird's right-handed seven-hole OoT replica. If I'm going to cosplay the Hero of Time, I'd rather be the Master Mode version of him than try to learn to do things left-handed as a rightie.
Does Songbird's sound similar been wondering because I may want to get it.
@@starmangalaxy2001 It does!
It would appear these are no longer available? Seems Tenrai went out of business, a shame. I can’t play the Ocarina, although I’d like to take the time to one day. Regardless this would be a wonderful collectors piece.
Aw, I wish I could still buy one.
I was wondering when someone was going to be able to figure out how to use all the holes. Would be quite the challenge to get the hand dexterity to use those holes though.
i wish i could find that book anywhere.
Do you know where can I get one? The link to the shop doesn't work
It seems this ocarina is lost in history... I can't find it being sold anywhere
What is your take on the new chinese fingering system? The one with the both hands on the first two chambers plus weird extended range in the third chamber?
Tenrai went out of business? I can't find this ocarina anywhere.
I have a 12-hole Auto C Ocarina of Time from Ohuhu (a birthday present) and I can imagine the 7-9 hole ocarina is hard to play. So, just out of curiosity, which kind of ocarina is the easiest to play (I mean, how many holes)?
Lesser the holes, the easier I guess. Just that the ocarina featured in this video is not your typical ocarina.
Hey..!
Just wanted to ask if you know anything about what happened to Elizabeth Velez Urie..she owned the channel "Inspirationalflute"..
I found your channel in her channel's channel list..
Anyone else who might know what happened to her.. please let me know 😫😫 I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!
Is the tenrai ocarina accurately tuned?
Hi David! I know this doesn’t really have to do with your video but I was wondering if you could help ! I used to watch your videos years ago and I even bought a few pendant ocarinas but my problem is I have pretty bad nerve damage in my left arm/hand so that I why I bought the pendants, I figured it would be easier. Anyway I was wondering if you had any tips on playing with one hand basically. Thank you !
So I bought a 7 hole ocarina and I am having a hard time finding songs for it so does anyone know where I can find some sheet music?
Someone help me! About the PDF method book, it will be sent by email or what? I was confused in the site because required my location. My brother bought it for me but now I'm a little anxious for it
You should’ve released it via email earlier today, but if not, shoot me an email: docjazz4[at]gmail.com
@@DavidErickRamosIt was sent today's dawn. Thanks a lot
Can you please please please cover one of the Boku No Hero Academia openings?
This is awesome!
Can you recommend a 12 hole ocarina that is cheap but sounds good, is in tune and playable also in the high notes? I got one of those quite cheap zelda replicas and it looks cool and sounds good in the low, but awful in the high notes. So I'd like to have one to play next to the one to look at 😂 Idk about prices but I don't rly wanna go over 50€.
If you're looking for Zelda replicas specifically, your best bet is probably STL ocarina's Ocarina of Time replica. They're around $50 and above. It's playable and cheaper than most other OoT replicas. That said, I don't care much for their replica and much prefer Songbird's, which is closer to $100.
If you just want a good 12 hole that isn't a zelda replica, Songbird sells some plastic ocarinas in the $20-30 dollar range that are pretty good for plastic ocarinas. You can get an alto C for $27 plus shipping.
Edit: also I should note that if your ocarina'e high notes sound bad, it may be more of an issue with your play than the ocarina if you are a beginner. Try turning your head to look downward as you play higher notes - it can help you to get a fuller sound.
@@theleeryone I tried but it's squeeky and sounds like a broken recorder, just awkward to play high notes, I feel like I'm torturing my family and neighbours😅 That's a problem because I do not dare to practise, too embarassing. Thanks for the recommendation. It must not be a Zelda replica for me this time. I might even look for a tenor or bass one and take some time.
What other ocarinas are left handed? Any doubles?
I honestly didn't think a 7-hole ocarina was even possible... Cool design though!
Well, this is a nine hole.
i recognise the song 3:35 but can't for the life of me remember it!
Song of healing :)
Tem algum site que tem letras em ocarina para ensinar a tocar?
Wait!? But if I am left handed why do I play Ocarina with my right 👁️👄👁️
Hello, good morning, sorry to bother you but I really like your RUclips channel and I was wondering if you would let me use your music as a background for my videos if it is not annoying
Where can I buy this
Link In the description!
David, I think it’s time to remove the website link for the ocarina because… That’s a porn website.
aww it’s out of stock and even more pricey now
OK it's cool but not £280 cool
Thomas the tank engine^^
Ocarinaaaaa offftume
First!
