About Emma and Allan:
Emma is a disabled travel and lifestyle blogger. She has a progressive muscle wasting condition called Muscular Dystrophy and uses a powered wheelchair. You will often see her and her abled-bodied boyfriend, Allan hopping on a plane to some new city, setting off on a UK road trip, going to a gig or festival or just generally working their way through life together.
you guys are cute! ya need to get proper measuring cups and measuring spoons. plus I suggest a silicone spatula to clean out the bowl makes it super easy. 🥰
I use sunflower oil in mine, requires eggs and walnuts and 4 bananas. baking soda is important though. Just put ice cream on it you will be fine
Haha You both are really funny! Can’t wait to see your next baking adventure! I think it was the lack of baking powder that made it so thick unfortunately!
Unfortunately, or maybe, fortunately, haha, we haven't done any more baking. Maybe we should try some Christmas baking :-)
The vinegar is what activates the baking soda and makes it rise. I know you didn't have baking soda...did you substitute? I think 3 times the amount of baking powder. It looks super moist...like fudge almost....

Only halfway through and it's really fun to see we aren't the only couple who attempt to bake with only half the ingredients haha
Haha you are not alone Fi! We were so hopeful for a positive outcome, but we will hopefully do better the next time if we can actually manage to get the right ingredients from the shops...everywhere is sold out of the things we need :-)

Emma, I use a tv tray to cook bc it lowers the arms. (I should explain. I had a major stroke and the left side is paralyzed. So I have one arm for use. )
I would crumble it in pudding or on yogurt. Lol.

@@SimplyEmma good Morning Emma and Allen. Another day of lockdown for us all. But, I've decided to make it a good one. I'm going to grill cornish game hens today and get some sun. I just made potato salad and plan to open the house up for fresh air. I hope you both can get some fresh air today. Let's make it a good day. Ttys
Without baking soda, it wont rise. It's called a leavening agent. Hehehe
We are definitely going to keep that in mind for the next time we do some baking :-)
