I see where you are coming from but I wouldn't say it was all sexism. It was more that Phil was a Mitchell and so the family had his back and people were afraid to go against them. And not everyone went against Sharon, the Fowlers namely Michelle totally called out Grant in that Phil was as much to blame as Sharon was. In the scene where they sleep together she addresses that to Grant in that Phil was as much to blame as Sharon. Also Grant was the alpha male of the square, a tyrannical bully and again locals were afraid to go against him in his revenge campaign against Sharon. Grant was also too afraid to lose his only brother. Kathy was a bitch for only holding Sharon accountable but Phil did put him in hospital so I wouldn't say he got off scott free.
Too late. Grant should have taken care of his wife when they were together, not abuse and hurt her. She begged for forgiveness and he humiliated her. She still loved him but couldn't be with him and just like with Tiffany he waited until it was too late
no he deserved to be humiliated in front of everybody like he did to her with the affair reveal, that was her plan but she pulled out in the last second. Real shame Eastenders didn't do it as it would have being a brilliant exit and being an excellent conclusion to the Sharongate saga, this was so underwhelming. I guess the writers didn't want to undermine their hard men like Grant or Phil though.

of course they aged as this was more than 25 years ago but I wouldn't say they look unrecognisable. Letitia Dean is fuller and so is Ross Kemp in that they both have more weight on them these days but they still look very like their younger selves today. I'd still know it was them. If you want to see ageing whereby you can't recognise people from their younger selves try actors like Kathleen Turner, Daniella Westbrook, Jennifer Grey or Mickey Rourke. Even ones like Deirdre in coronation street looked pretty unrecognisable from her younger self if you compare her to the 70s/ early 80s to 2000s Deirdre.
