That operator doesn't mess around. I like to see demolitions like this one. Gets to work, chops it up quickly, and crushes the remaining bigger pieces to toothpicks. Good job! You're a real pro!

Of course if I had the humiliation of the city deeming my house unfit I would want the execution of my old house over with quickly as possible😩. Wipe it away while I move on!
Of course I don't why this particular house is being killed. Maybe someone with money just wants something newer and cooler on the lot that they just bought . Or the city wants that land space for a park or something . 🤔

I do both demolition and deconstruction. Most people don't have the money to pay for a full deconstruction. A lot of my clients have said they like the idea of deconstructing it, but cost and time were not favorable. A lot of times they have guys waiting for the demolition to happen so they can put a new house up or whatever the case may be. There's no "shame" in demolition whatsoever. Deconstruction is a great idea, and such is why it's one of the services I offer, but it's not always practical, affordable or time friendly.

@@smldemolition That's great you do both. We do a hybrid demo/decon as well due to client budgets. But deconstruction will become mandated and more prevalent lowering the price and making it the standard. There will be shame in most demolitions in the near future when reflecting back at the sheer waste of valuable resources. We will see a complete reversal over the next 10 years from decons being the odd house to demos being only in select circumstances. Just like we look back at the Hummer and big vehicle subsidies that were being given 20 years ago, we will look back at demo and shake our heads. Our planet is on fire, we cannot keep demolishing and disposing of resources.

Plenty of wood frame homes that have been in place for quite a long time.

Wood framed homes can handle all kinds of wind. They’re surprisingly rigid. They do however start falling apart when winds exceed 120mph. Brick houses do too as roofs are a weak point.

I put houses and mobile homes to rest as well. I've made a hundred or so disappear. I'd like to see the rest of your operation. We both know this is the easy part. Let's see the tedious cleanup. A lot of Demolition outfits leave an atrocious mess. We have cleaned up many unfinished demo's. It's a real problem in the industry.

The modern, cookie cutter, factory built homes with cheaper materials certainly don't. Homes built, let's say, from the 70's on back, last much longer. They were better built with good solid materials.
