My dad was an A & P mechanic during WW2 on those and the F6F . He would talk about seeing them in Norman , Ok flying into wind so strong that they had to dive down to get back to where they were making no headway. lol He was in Samford Fl Naval Air Base also during the war. He served on CVE68 in the Pacific .
I used to see one of these in the front yard of a farm house down below Montgomery Al back in the 70s and 80s . Started to stop to see if it was for sale several times but then I saw one crop dusting so figured they were keeping it for a spare. lol Great to hear that radial engine run!

For several years, in the 90s, I was paid by the Washington, MO FBO, Carl Cochran, to give Stearman rides. Since back then the video cameras were big and bulky, I got very little videos and only by giving passengers free rides to do the taping. My videos are not very long and mostly of poor quality.
I’m working on a project of putting various Stearman videos together, set to the music of “Love Theme from Superman”. May I have your permission to use a small portion of your great video for my project?

Hold up cut the power! You still have a tow bar attached to the wheels.

I did not know that 1967 Ferrari F1 312’s came with V8’s because they DID NOT. Don’t do a warm up video with a fake car.
