Beautiful so Beautiful. What a fluid trajectory starship was on at all elevations. It's like a symphonic conducted orchestra. All time with such precision ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
When I first saw this amazing video I was certain I was watching an AI Simulation and was awestruck to find out it was actually happening. Elon Rocks!!!
Gracias por estos videos en gran calidad sin duda es un día histórico para la ingeniería aeroespacial!! Me emociona mucho estar viendo en esta época viendo todo este desarrollo!! 🤩
October 13th 2024, I will never ever forget the excitement of that first booster catch. I’m not trying to be mean but i wished that the two lady’s comments at the end was left to mission control then this video would of been great just listening to the cheering and just watch, they could of commented a couple of minutes after, just/ my opinion that it was just a time to listen and watch or to stay silent for a bit, sry!
I wonder if they put any test payload in the Ship for weight adjustment for the next flight? Like water bags, weights, another Tesla, etc.? or was the ship dry mass upon re-entry? I cant stop watching it. Thanks for the episode!
I cant even begin to imagine the engineering and technology needed to accomplish this. A lot of people give Elon/Tesla/SpaceX sht. But you know what the important thing is that they are trying and producing things. We need more people with that kind of attitude and drive.
So I have three questions... (1) What is happening during the return to tower when we see these intermittent sprays coming from it. It appears the booster stage is dumping fuel but I haven't been able to confirm it. (2) As the booster returned, for a while we see a small, separate object falling. Is this the hot staging ring? And finally (3) after the catch we see flames billowing from the side of the booster near the base. Why is that happening, is it expected, and does it cause any harm to the booster? Absolutely amazing feat of engineering. I'm beginning to think there's nothing the SpaceX engineers can't do. They are putting NASA and SLS/Orion to shame.
If you think for a second about the performance of the Raptor 2, from flight 2 to 5, 132 engines have been ignited for takeoff, only 1 did not. The endurance of the Raptor is increasing. Imagine with the new and upgraded Raptor 3
SOME OF THE COMMENTORS HERE THAT DOUBT THE EVIDENCE OF THEIR OWN EYES ARE VERY SAD AND CANNOT ACCEPT THAT PHENOMENAL HISTORY IS BEING MADE HERE ! ! !🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
In November 1988 the Soviets sent a unmanned Automated Buran space shuttle to space It flew into space landed right where it had taken off from. Looks like space ex is 40 years behind
Where's Buran? It's a shuttle and was also a plane with jet engines and all planes have autopilot now . How many returning Soyuz boosters did Russia catch? Where's your N1?
@@srinitaaigaura tech from 1988 Your just 40 years behind 🤣🤣🤣. Reusable is not reusable 🤣🤣. Thats why everyone in the world ditch that conception of reusable.
Mach diamonds from launch 2, video of first Falcon9 Heavy boosters landing at Cape Canaveral, video of booster 12 catch, and probably first catch of Starship will be forever replayed alongside Apollo 11 first steps on the moon. The non-believers are really missing out and have even said this was CGI... with thousands of eye witnesses.
That was unreal! But the cheering... I prefer Apollo program :D Feels more scientific and serious, This one is like New Year celebration. Diferent times I guess.
And yet and still no one will ask SpaceX the obvious question: what was the cause of the 25 meter long flames shooting up the side of the rocket during landing?
So I guess I'm the only one that noticed when they did the split screen of it landing that the tower that caught the booster are two completely different towers on the split screens, so what's really going on?
I wonder how mamy toasted ducks they found. When the booster was coming into the chop sticks you seen all those ducks fly off thr water arounf thr launch pad. Theres no way some didn't get in direct line of those rocket plumes!
Why the angle and not straight up? Why does it look like a big cigarette coming back down and it’s coming in way too fast back than going up? Why the video cut when the comments were talking? Almost make it seem that this was AI edited. Reverse replay 😆 Can you guys get past the Van Allen Belts?
You know there’s another application to this. The rockets are so cheap we could literally deploy a small force of soldiers anywhere in the world within a few hours…
Never gets old watching these launches.
Or the catch too, was so worried it was going to explode when the ports at the bottom was burning. But thankfully it went out, GO SPACE X!!!
The commentary sure does.
i know I have had this on repeat
Amazing
Always a spectacular scene
“Coming in hot” has never been so accurate. Awesome.
why does it bring a tear to my eyes, so beyond incredible
Because you appreciate what a historical event it was
Cause u are actually alive to witness science fiction become reality.
It's fcking over whelming
THIS IS HISTORY
👏🤝
This is like the 30th to 50th video I'm watching about IFT5. I am normal, aren't I?
Thanks Spaceflight Now.
Normal may be over rated... 😊
It’s AWESOME
Yes we're fine😂
Mines on loop too. 🤪 You're safe!
I can't stop watching over n over! Wonderful. 😮🤯 The birds even got excited lol 😅
pro tip: play M38 Outro on loop in the background!
Saw this from the road tonight when I was driving back from a show at Mount Wilson. Really spectacular.
No words....seriously....none. Glad I an still alive to view this incredible history.
Watching booster fly back through its own plume was beautiful! ❤❤❤
I watched the fifth flight of Starship more than a dozen times.
This is just unbelievable, hard to believe thing. Absolutely amazing, scifi stuff. Superhuman excellence.
Looks very good, also seeing this in 4k and not in a nokia phone like usually is a big relief
Old Nokia phones didn’t have cameras but you got the spirit
that landing was so beautiful

Perfect launch!
No words to describe enough . It is absolutely insane. Love to watch it many times. Million thanks to those who make it happens
yall got some really talented people on your team
I've seen this video about 70 times... still can't believe it
What is it that you can't believe it was launched from the ground and hit the firmament and came back down...
It's truly unreal but it actually happened, and it's stunning every last one of those 70 times! 😎 Amazing times we are living in.
Incredible feat of human ingenuity. Thanks for sharing, Will!
I like how the flock of birds flying past it added a nice touch at the exact time. One in a billion footage.
Awesome job!
PARABÉNS PELO VÍDEO, EXCELENTE!!! FOGUETE QUE DÁ MARCHA RÉ... KKKKK
Absolutely amazing!!! So glad to witness this during these amazing times of space engineering! 🙌 🚀 👨🚀
W-O-W WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE AND WITNESS PHENOMENAL HISTORY LIKE THIS BEING MADE ! ! ! ? ? ?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Imagine the life of those that will be living in planet Mars in future 😅
AWESOME + MIND-BLOWING SPECTACLE ! ! !👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
When I first saw this amazing video I was certain I was watching an AI Simulation and was awestruck to find out it was actually happening. Elon Rocks!!!
This launch has the most the most watched, next to the moon landing
Именно так👍👍👍
ฝากเก็บระเบิดนิวเคลียร์บนอวกาศด้วยครับมั่นใจว่าอยู่บนอวกาศครับปกป้องให้ด้วย ความสำเร็จทุกภารกิจครับ
Imagine this but with raptor v3 and starship V2.
We've only just begun!
Absolutely amazing!!!
Man it feels like we in the future for real unbelievable 😂😂
Incredible

Hats off to the spaceX team
Excellent, thank you.

How about that double-sonic boom from the Hot Stage Ring at 8.00!!! Easy to miss!
Очевидное, невероятное. Какая точность, уже не фантастика. Это как сказка, была религия, стала наукой👍👍👍
Excellent 👌👌👌
so cool !

I just love the voice of the girl calling it, "what an incredible morning".
Impressionante 🎉🎉

Maan these Marvel trailers never fail to hype me up 😯
NSF: ever considered HDR? The bright engines would be a perfect usecase. Other than that: you’re the best!!!
Crowd watches it live and Yahoos on the internet still think space travel is faked in Hollywood movie studios. 😂

This looks more excited than landing on moon
yes
And, humanity will go to Mars, Elon will do so.

Ok baldy
Ang galing
goosebumps
And yet and still no one will ask SpaceX the obvious question: what was the cause of the 25 meter long flames shooting up the side of the rocket during landing?
I WISH I WAS THERE TO SEE THIS ❗🌏🌏🌏🌏
7:13 THERE...ARE....SIMPLY....NO....WORDS....
Really need to mute the cheering so we can her the ship!
naah the cheering adds to the magic. The human race gathering to celebrate a big step forward. Goosebumps everytime.
There’s ALWAYS that one token car alarm trying to steal the show. 😂
Unbelievable!!!!
I want one !
Feel bad for birds some of them got cooked alive 😢.
It's crazy the rooster out the back is 3 or 4 times the length of the ship.
The scenery behind it is still blue it's still here on Earth
Spetacular, wonderful!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏🚀❤️💖❤️💝⚖️🌟🗽💐.
"COMING IN HOT ! ! !" NEVER WERE TRUER WORDS SPOKEN ! ! ! ? ? ?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Who saw that, a large number of birds leaving the place? 😢 I think because of those fumes and toxic smoke
I wanna go see a launch
Now all we gotta do is build the USS Enterprise around that booster and we off to new worlds 😂
So I guess I'm the only one that noticed when they did the split screen of it landing that the tower that caught the booster are two completely different towers on the split screens, so what's really going on?
It is the same exact tower. 2 different angles. Its that simple.
@@kevinconrad7648 look closer wise guy
I cried
Was this today then ? I thought the ship part blew up on landing last time .
No, was on the 13th. Flight 4 and Flight 5 has nominal landings. but blew up intentionally after touchdown

OUR GRATE SALUTE ELEN MUSK AND TEAM .... THEY ARE GOD OF EARTH.................
Does anyone know what happend to the starship portion of the ship?
And why no footage?
It flew on to out of space then landed in the Indian Ocean near Australia only 1 hour later after the launch.
It went into space and flew around the world to the Indian Ocean. SpaceX had footage lol
Why clipped and choppy footage of the catch. No truly good real footage available...
Why the angle and not straight up?
Why does it look like a big cigarette coming back down and it’s coming in way too fast back than going up?
Why the video cut when the comments were talking? Almost make it seem that this was AI edited.
Reverse replay 😆
Can you guys get past the Van Allen Belts?
Was the crowd chanting holy shit?
So where has the starship gone?
cool
If Neil Armstrong could see us now!
Now all of y'all watching this going to act like y'all didn't see what I saw it never left
You know there’s another application to this. The rockets are so cheap we could literally deploy a small force of soldiers anywhere in the world within a few hours…
What ? Hundreds of millions of dollars to deploy 3 soldiers by parachute ?
Makes me want to take engineering!
The real Thunderbirds are GO
Rikshaw can do the same pocess
The space shuttle was impressive. This is just a bottle rocket.
Who is the pa announcer?
