The wife thing was what I was going with before I watched your video... or daughter, etc.
Having briefly dated a judge’s daughter and later in life, shot sporting clays with a couple different judges, vs hanging around Sheriffs during search and rescue missions and being a law enforcement range master, I’d guess the chance of the judge being the a$$hole in this situation is about 99%! Like always, the more power you have, the more corrupt and despicable you are likely to be. And judges get to play at being god almost daily and since they have almost no checks and balances, well there you go.
If the judiciary were adhering to their intended role of protecting civil liberties instead of rubber stamping institutional power, none of these in the weeds convos would be necessary.
I like the chances of a shakedown by the judge against the sheriff. Too often those that think that they are invincible find a bigger, or nastier opponent. Be careful of the scripts that you keep in your head. They can make you believe that you have no other choices than to follow the script.
Reports of female inmates being coerced in chambers no less by Sheriff's Deputies for sexual favors, one inmate supposedly made a statement, another is dead. Lots of seedy intrigue on the behind the scenes scandalous behavior in a small mountain town is going to come out. In big cities people can fool around and nobody knows the "other woman". In small towns, you're always plowing the wife or daughter or ??? of somebody you know and maybe see every day - and it happens more than people think.
It’s a reminder that even those in positions of authority are not immune to the stresses and challenges that come with the responsibility.
A wise man said, we are all humans.
My wife and I were wondering about this. I told her it had to involve a female relative. I'm interested to hear what it really was, if t comes out.
Apparently his daughter.
The sheriff’s daughter.
It is called jury nullification.
why he's a murder?
There appears to be a lot going on we don't know about. Apparently the sheriff lost 40lbs in the last few weeks. Also deleted a Facebook page and had been unusually quiet recently.
Ozempic made him do it.
Wait, so you can excuse bad behavior or law breaking decause you were EMOTIONAL?!?!?
That's some BS.

I've learned many lessons from you two. This one don't mess with a sheriff's wife. I bet Emily hit this one out of the park. Keep us updated.
The first thing I said when I saw this story was, "Someone screwed someone's wife!" I'd sure like to know what was on that cell phone....
It was the sheriff’s 17yo daughter.
know each other? sis they worked together for 7 years plus. mickey was the judges bailiff.
Emilys poor buttons on that shirt! 🤣
The judge must have suggested they go to Arby's for lunch, sheriff then realised the judge did not have good judgment.
Emily is from Kentucky? I'm changing my Tinder location!
It will be interesting to see what details come out about this
Wives or daughters…
Not guilty by reason of justifiable homicide.
Emily, leave Richard's hair alone.
I don't care if you are a judge; You don't 'back door" the Sheriff's wife...
Makes sense!! She looks like the typical pretty Kentucky/Tennessee girls up her!! There is just a look that is hard to explain and now that she’s told us her family is from Kentucky, it makes sense to me.
I heard the Sheriff was the Judges bailiff before he was elected Sheriff in 2018.
Richard, if you are going for a Mohawk, COMMIT, Dammit!
Emily, are you a Coal Miner's Daughter (Granddaughter)?
What mental hospital the rest of your life? It's usually a reduced 3yr sentence or such.
Hi, I am curious to find out the process to retain your offices. My wife, son and I have and do conceal carry with Texas Licenses. Hopefully never need it, but there is always the first connection to keep the conflict of interest. I would also like to discuss the insurance/retainer thoughts you have. Thanks for what you do. We live in Liberty county, but I drive to the Galleria area four days per week.
I thought you looked like an Appalachian Princess.
I heard judge was messing around with sheriff wife and daughter
My first thought was this was over some hanky-panky. (Great minds think alike!) The defendant’s lawyer may then invoke “the bastard needed killing” defense.
The deputies were taken advantage of women on probation that couldn't pay for leg monitors. I also heard on one of the news blurbs that the judge was shady something to do with possibly younger women. So yeah, there's that.
Or just plain irresistible impulse. Yes I’m a Jimmy Stewart fan, look it up.
Wife seems like a good call.
The two may have been involved with something that eventually got to the conscious of the judge, and he may have said that he was going to come clean about it, leaving the sheriff only one option, or a knee jerk option to stop him.
I think law enforcement has a higher percentage of hot heads than most other professions. Most people are more emotionally hurt than they are enraged when bad things happen. Most people would start being vindictive and locking bank accounts and informing others. On top of that, law enforcement officers are the only people allowed to carry weapons in the judge’s chambers.
Concur.
I've met a few police "officers", and several were "instant 1 to 11"...
Also, the bully in high school who stole my gloves with his gang backing him up and a vicious smirk on his face, went on to become a deputy sheriff.
Are all "officers" jerks? Of course not. All of them bullies who coerce female parolees into "favors"? Of course not.
...but... just asking, why did that bully want to become a cop? What about him made the higher ups look at him and think "what a great hire"..?
Theory……The Sheriff and the Judge are gay lovers and the judge wants to come clean!

trying to not see this as rumor mongering. Can we stop jumping to conclusions so quickly? If he did what is being said, Sheriff walks, but lets just wait a day or two.
No one is jumping to conclusions, and they prefaced the video with saying it was entirely speculative.
It’s WELL KNOWN in the community exactly what happened.
Commonwealth of Kentucky. FTFY 😊
I think it might be a corruption deal gone wrong.
My speculation is; lovers quarrel...
Look at it this way. As the ELECTED sheriff he can fire ANY AND ALL of his employees until removed from office while he’s in jail. “At will employment state”.
In many states the deputies have some protection. Where there aren't local police, the sheriff is the LAW. Most try to operate "professionally."
Emily, I am a fifth generation Texan, Expatriated to Alaska. Other sides of the family are Arkansas, Mississippi, and Kentucky. Definitely hillbilly roots.
The idea that there was one person in the world that could get you to kill them, may mean that society is not at risk, has merit to me.
I'm thinking of the beating of the step-father that was abusing your mother. If he dies from his injuries, not really your fault that he couldn't take the thumping that he definitely earned.
Guns make it a little more complicated.
I remember reading a legal dictionary once (weird I know) that defined most words by case law. The word "proximate" (I think) was defined by the case of a woman who had shot another woman that had a knife. In the case law, she was found guilty because the proximity wasn't sufficient. The woman that had been shot was opposite a campfire and twenty feet away when she was shot. I haven't been able to find the reference again. Is my memory faulty? Is this still considered a major factor?
I think they were lovers 😳😁🤣🍺🇺🇸
This sounds like a gay lovers quarrel
a judge is dead?
oh no, anyway....
Thanks guys really interesting.
Isn't their a Reba song about this?
Wife??? what about their son or daughter???
It was the sheriff’s daughter.
@@rbbeac the family of the daughter have said this wasnt about anything sexual.
Or that the sheriff's deputy was caught doing bad things with female parolees, and this sheriff didn't want to be the next Jamey Noel?
Maybe both?
It wasn't about a heat of passion...The sheriff's deposition was coming up within a week of meeting with the judge...It was posted in a lot of news outlets that Stines was deposed on Monday in a lawsuit filed by two women, one of whom alleged that a deputy forced her to have sex inside Mullins chambers for six months in exchange for staying out of jail...the lawsuit accuses the sheriff of deliberate indifference in failing to adequately train and supervise the deputy and that the former deputy sheriff ben fields pleaded guilty to raping the female prisoner while she was on home incarceration. Fields was sentenced this year to six months in jail and then six and a half years on probation for rape, sodomy, perjury, and tampering with a prisoner monitoring device..So it sounds like more than one in that town was into some illegal stuff..My guess would be,The judge had some things on his phone that could also get the sheriff into a lot of trouble so he took him out...
Never going to your state,,,lol
Back in Chicago in the 80s, they had so many crimes that people didn't stay in jail long because there wasn't enough room for every criminal in the city to be there. For murder, the time in jail seemed to be six years, based on what I heard. A local radio talk host wanted to find out if there was anybody in any jail in the city who'd been there more than ten years. They finally found this one guy they interviewed who'd been there more than ten years. They asked him what he was in for. He said, "I was convicted of shooting somebody messing around with my wife." They asked if he did it. "Of course," he said, without any regret. That's the only murderer they could find who'd been in jail more than ten years, and that for a crime of passion, at least that's what the perp said it was.
Keep in mind that in Texas several years ago a father caught someone molesting his child and beat the person to death with his bare hands. The grand jury refused to indict.
"What makes you see red? It's the wife." - Emily
Guys, this is a really good reason to avoid the source of so many problems - no wives!
Can't the sheriff hide behind " QUALIFIED IMMUNITY " ?
From what i understand the significant others of both the sheriff and judge were sisters! I really wouldnt see to much red with it being my wife. Id see way more red if it was involving my daughter, from what the rumor mill is putting out there the judge was messing with the sheriff's daughter!
I knew someone who was sentenced to a psychiatric hospital on the condition that he would go to trial for aggravated assault and battery when he was deemed sane.
Instead, they just released him from the hospital and never notified the court.
Good system, huh?
Until we get some more facts this is a crazy situation.
And we have to be prepared for a lot of "good old boy" and "thin blue line", think of this micheal proctor thing in Massachusetts and all of that strangeness
@wingatebarraclough3553 Yeap, we could definitely see a lot of BS coming out of this story.
My bet is that the sheriff became aware of something immediately before the shooting. Maybe a message on the judge's phone, a phone call, or perhaps a slip of the tongue by the judge. Something that elicited an immediate response.
Oh, what county in KY?
Boyd crowder, Winona, Eva, dewy, and raylan givens. If ya get it ya get it.
I think there were some instances in the distant past where charges wouldn't be brought in some cases because the authorities "understood" why it was done, as in "anyone would have done the same thing".
Not bizarre, I like the idea of the jury deciding punishment !!
The judge was appointed by a former governor whom is the current governors father !
Truth is so much stranger than fiction that I couldn't even begin to speculate on this one.
I thought there was some hanky panky involved. KKeep ypur eye on this case... Thanks
I'm not sure if this is true or not... But I have heard that the sheriff's 17 year old daughter was doing an internship/clerkship under the judge who he offed... And that the sheriff found out from his daughter's counselor that she was being coerced to engage certain sexual acts by the judge. Not sure The validity of this claim... But figured I would pass on what I've heard

Is the penalty jury the same as the trial's jury?
kids or ole ladys make u see red so witch one judge do
All rumors & speculation so far . But as long as you're addressing factors around hypotheticals :
One of the rumors is to the effect that Sheriff went to the chamers to confront Judge about allegations of ( some particular illegal actions ) .
When confronted , the Judge drew his gun first ( from person ? From desk drawer ? ) , and Sheriff reacted and straight up defended himself .
I dunno . I wasn't there . But * something * implausible actually happened , and this one is no more inherently implausible than the other speculations
I vote for your speculation.
