How is any of that "peak villain"?
No Mark is EVIL in all dimensions besides this one You'll see...Angstrom has never met a good Mark, that is why he thinks our Mark is bad as well There is no alternate version of Mark that is good....only ONE
No one wins in Mark’s situation. No protecting, no vengeance none of that saves ANY part of this. All you have is a LOT of hurt people in an unimaginable amount of pain. And if there IS an afterlife Aangstrom won’t be ok in ANY reality. Poor Old Eve put current Eve in a REALLY rough position and Mark being the ultimate decider only makes things worse. That’s a hard situation for ANYONE. Much more for 2 teenagers.
They'll definitely end up together, Mark isn't in the right place mentally after this episode and the one previously. But them together would make a good pairing.
Yeah, even though Levy had to go because he was literally insane and delusional and homicidal, in a way he still won. He proved his point, that Mark was, indeed, a killer
Keep in mind Mark has never killed ANYONE before this and when he did it just pure rage. When Mark was beating him into the ground it reminded me about what Nolan did to him.
yeah but we also have to remember that he still wasn't trying to kill him. Like he said,he thought he was stronger so he went harder to subdue him properly. So technically it was self defense paired with fear since he couldn't tell how strong Angstrom was and when enough would actually be enough. he's not a killer so to say. Nolan actually was a killer who is now turning a new leaf.
@jos-josradvanji6203 I mean, he literally said it himself that he wanted to kill him because of his rage. Before realising that, he just tried to somehow justify his actions
@@jos-josradvanji6203 No, he was 100% trying to kill him. Got lost in the Viltrumite rage. It's made pretty clear "I thought you were stronger," was him trying to justify beating Angstrom to death to himself by making it seem like he thought Levy could take the punches.

19:05 She’s the GOAT, at first, she kept pushing for Mark to continue pursuing the search of a normal life, but, she just knows he can’t actually have that, she knows he needs to pay attention to bigger things and that he’ll outlive most of the people and the things that are meant to be important. On the grand scheme of things, he’s right and he has to make every day count and she knows she needs to be the best influence to him while she’s around because, in his lifespan, his mother is just a flicker. The show is great and I hope the wait for the next season doesn’t last that long.
thats why i love this show so much, especially compared to other animated shows- the writing. the characters are believable and even rational almost all the time. they handle terrible situations like youd think they would. this entire episode was pure pain and it is made evident by the dialogue given and the emotions reflected. theres almost always time for scenes to breathe. i hate forced narrative and character choices that dont make sense and this show has had multiple times for characters to continuously grow. its simply brilliant.
I noticed a lot of reactors get mad at mark for rushing levy and flying into portals but like what else is he supposed to do he can’t not rush at him 😂😂
A lot of people do that unfortunately. They quick to tell a person what do and how to do it. But if they were in similar situation, they probably wouldn’t know what to do or how to react. Roshi, Sheera and Lupa do that a lot.
yeah I was like " so what is your brilliant plan then?" especially because they first told him to rush Angstrom 'cause Mark is so fast and then once they see it's not fast enough they critisize that he even tried that. but it's just thoughts in the moment&kind of shows that they really feel themselves into the situation (panicking for real) so I am not mad.
@@titusorelius9458 I can understand and respect that way of thinking, but I'm not going to bash or diss Mark for not thinking like that. It's really easy from an outside view to tell what he should do.
Angstrom Levy had my sympathy at first because of his condition and all of the bad encounters with Invincible the other versions of him had. But in short, he’s practically a mental patient with literally many voices and minds in his own head and can’t even keep track which are his own. Now someone with such a unstable mind with dimensional hopping powers is someone I imagine is much too dangerous to let loose, especially since he has no problem hurting a helpless woman and a baby no matter how justified he tries to make it seem.
Yeah I was feeling bad for him until he broke Debbie’s arm and threatened to kill Oliver. When you start wanting to hurt a literal baby for no reason you gotta stop and think that maybe you’re the bad guy
Eh, it's really just because we like Debbie. People will say that they do, but this isn't actually consistent to how people think. The Christian bible even has God killing the firstborns of Egypt to punish their unelected leader and I'm sure if someone held Hitler's family hostage to get him to surrender then people would have been fine with that too.
Aangstrom isn't even really human anymore. He's just a jumble of different people and their trauma. I think it's sad the original Aangstrom was a hero who wanted to save the multiverses from the bad Marks. Aangstorm did mess up in going to the Maulers but he did it out of a noble goal. If only Aangstorm had time to explain it to our Mark, maybe this could have all been avoided. Levy was a good person despite this mistake as he still chose to unplug his machine when they were going to kill our Mark. But that is what ultimately turned him into a monster. I think the idea that good intentions don't always lead to great outcomes is a theme this story frequently explores
I love the recurring Ka-Hor gag cause the first dude got possessed in season 1 but got trapped inside cause Mark and Nolan were flying through the desert, so he died. Then his daughter gets trapped cause Mark flew through the desert AGAIN, so even if he wanted to use their bodies to escape, he can’t. Ka-Hor is a show original character but since the show is still faithful to the comics, they are probably gonna keep doing this gag every season til one episode where he finally comes out and bodies everyone and then Invincible beats him.
One detail I really liked from this episode was Levi randomly snapping at Debbie for telling Oliver everything was going to be okay, then during his breakdown we see there is a version of him that tried saying the same thing to his kid before invincible killed.
they did a wonderful job trying to garner sympathy for angstrom when they showed those memories they also did a wonderful job taking it away instantly when he broke debbie's arm
Apparantly, the sniper Mark hit bro with is a reference to Fortnite cuz he's a skin there too. They're so dope for the easter eggs. if they drop a mortal kombat easter egg next season, invincible will be top 10 undisputed
Debbie hit Angstom with that uno reverse card. Of all the alternative universes he was born in, his is where invincible is the good guy. So what does that make him if all his counterparts were heroic in their own right? I also like how though the series, Mark has tried his hardest to not kill and not be like any of the Viltrumites he's encountered. And here's Angstrom pushing him to the edge to kill him because he has all his other counterparts memories confusing him
Wild how Angstrom saw how Mark was insanely strong in every reality, then decided "yeah it's a good idea to push the only one who doesn't kill to his breaking point, THEN try to fight him with my bare hands". Dude had every reality to try and find a weapon that could actually kill a Viltrumite but decided to throw hands with the race that's known for being the ultimate hand throwers
@@pabloc8808 I mean..that is what he did. He went to the other universes and only found one where Mark was subdued. He then asked Mark how they got him and he said they wore him down&caught him when he had to sleep. Angstrom did the same except he wanted Mark conscious so when he thought he had him worn out enough he went for the kill. What he wasn't prepared for was that Mark was holding back since any other Mark would've gone full power right from the start. He miscalculated.
@@jos-josradvanji6203 That's what I'm saying, he could've tried harder since his plan was to finish Mark off with his bare hands. Instead he took what could've been a perfect plan and decided to change it, I mean if they got him when he had to sleep then what in the world made Angstrom think he could take him on awake and angry?
It's wilder too that even the worst version of Levy still was good enough to try and save Invincible when he was getting jumped by the Maulers, and thats the reason he's such a monster now.
God that "I think... I miss my wife" was so devastating. You can hear the pain in his voice that he really hasnt had before. The voice acting in this show is top notch.
I never realized how damaged Levy was, both mentally and physically. Maybe there’s some way to reason with- (Sees Debbie with a broken arm, and Oliver crying) *Mark! Finish him!* 😡
Is it just me, or is the barren world Mark got stranded on a reference to Omni man's speech? "You'll live to see this planet crumble to dust and blow away! EVERYONE and EVERYTHING you know will be gone! What will you have after 500 YEARS?"
Angstrom is just a case of someone who lost his way. Like I understand his hate for Mark but even AFTER learning that the Mark of this universe was the complete opposite of the ones all of his other selves met, he still wanted to ruin his life. That’s where you hit a point of no return once you start exacting your revenge on someone who has nothing to do with the situation. And I understand that he went crazy after taking on all of his experiences from other universes, but it’s simply just a tragic case
Spedman and batboy quick segment had me chuckling as well as the lady who asked Debbie " are you okay?" While shes laying there beat tf up and a hand broke in half 💀 but wow what a good season, cant wait for the next one next year hopefully
the zombie world Mark went to was The Walking Dead Universe, in the comics, he clears out all the zombies in north america, and spider-man teams up w/ Mark in the comics, but obviously Marvel wouldnt allow that
@@Slavic_Snake To be fair, I think Mark and Kirkman are making that comparison. It's not the act itself. It's that Mark lost control abd gave into his Viltrumite instincts
@@Just_Some_Guy_with_a_MustacheIt's just as fair to say he lost control and gave into his human instincts. I don't think many people in the same situation wouldn't snap
Seeing Mark have a mental breakdown at the fact that he lost control and killed Angstrom and thought he was stuck in a barren wasteland was heartbreaking, even though, yes, I do agree that Angstrom deserved to die. Mark justifiably killed him in self-defence, plus he also hurt Debbie and threatened Oliver. Angstrom Levy is also a tragic villain since he's struggling to juggle every memory of alternate versions of Angstrom in the multiverse. Still, in nearly every universe, Mark is evil and kills or ruins Angstrom's life in each of them. Even if it was all Angstrom's fault to begin with, I still can't help but feel a little sorry for him. Steven Yeun and Sterling K Brown did a phenomenal job and gave performances of a lifetime in this episode. It's also really emotionally surreal seeing Nolan actually miss his wife, and this is a tremendous development for him, especially when last season had him calling Debbie a 'pet'! CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 3! BTW, even though the show couldn't use the rights for Spider-Man because of Disney, I still LOVE hearing the Spectacular Spider-Man voice actor himself, Josh Keaton, return to play a Spider-Man-like character.
mark has literally been out to space at least 3 times by now. wonder why he didn't just fly up above the atmosphere to make sure he was still at least on a version of earth.
What i really loved about this confrontation is the fact that it wasnt just a typical "you made me a freak", comic book spat. But that Angstrom truly was not in his right state of mind. To him he doesnt know which one of himselves is himself, it would be like have 50 different first person POVs into the mass trauma of other lives that have your exact name and identity. Angstrom truly wanted to do good and this twisted collective thought he was by taking down a genocidal alien. This was is an example of when an unstoppable force meets and immoveable object.
22:21 I think the reason Nolan started getting to work once Mark got his powers was because he realized Mark will now live just as long as a normal Viltrumite. Cause I’m sure originally Nolan just would’ve wanted to live out the lifespan of his human wife and child until they die of old age, kinda like a Viltrumite version of a vacation. Then basically to return to work and subjugate the planet for Viltrum since- like 90 years or so wouldn’t be that long for a person who lives for thousands of years.
Intresting dichotomy between mark and his dad, they both feel more pity for themselves and blaming themselves the "why did you make me do this" hits so hard in this episode it feels like domestic violence- blaming the victim Mark realizing he can't just be a normal kid he can't have a normal girlfriend or normal life he has to be something more great character development looking forward for season 3
@@hassanasad27 Levy lost. Mark beat him down thoroughly, then kept hitting even when Levy's only real ability to react was to vaguely paw at him. He could have simply forced him to portal them back then dropped him in front of Cecil. He didn't. It's PERFECTLY UNDERSTANDABLE why he acted as he did - all the pressure, losing Amber, seeing his mom hurt, the terror of never stopping the Viltrumites - but he knows he could have stopped, and had won. And he knows he chose not to. Which is why when Cecil tries to argue your exact point he just sighs and says 'You weren't there' because he knows Cecil is wrong - he didn't have to do it.
I'm actually impressed by the writers, they evidently included an alternate version of Spider Man and referenced the Spider-Verse and of course Batman without stepping on any legal landmines!

Similar jokes are made about Omniman It’s all in good fun just poking fun at superhero naming conventions lol
How are you guys gonna say "get him, you have so many openings" but then immediately call him an idiot for trying to blitz him? Like, if he makes any unnecessary movements, Levy is just gonna open a portal as we've seen he can do it very quickly. So he has to just rush at him and try to be faster
Roshi, Sheera, and Lupa are the dynamic trio of telling people what they should do, how to act or react, or if they were in a similar situation, they do this. I have a feeling they wouldn't fair any better
Yea and it doesn't take Angstrom long at all to activate his ability. It's not like he has a wind up to it, as soon as Mark moves he can just open a portal.
15:33 shocked at the lack of reaction to “you’re not Him” from these guys specifically I’m also surprised when Omni man said he missed his wife shera didn’t say “which one?” She’d usually be on that lol
21:45 other stuff is actually helping ppl, not for viltrumite gain but deep down to Nolan he was happy to help those rhay needed help. Plus meet up with others like guardians of the globe. To him in that short time on earth he was alive/happy then hundreds of years being with the viltrumite empire to point he kinda forgot his primarily mission until mark develop his powers and that switch into soldier mode activated.
I like the detail of Angstrom's face at 10:09 when Mark sees his mom in that state, he just wanted to piss Mark off before killing him and it's worked. Worked too well.
To Shira's comment @19:25, I don't think that's it. It was already established Mark is aware he isn't normal to be in college - hence the break up with Amber. I think its more of he has to train how to control himself. To spend time doing that rather than study. Mark learns that he is capable of blowing up like a Viltrumite and doing real harm - so he should be learning how to NOT do that because that is more important.
18:35 You guys really signed my ticket to hell with this one LMAO 💀 why y'all make me laugh so much at that actual house exploding, had to pause and everythang
If it wasn't for Angstrom Mark wouldn't have killed in this episode. It's almost like Angstrom is creating his own villains by having them cross lines they wouldn't before. At least this is for the Mark we know.
22:00 You pretty much nailed it. That's more or less how it went down in the comics. Nolan thought he had a good 100-150 years time to play around but when he saw his son got powers and essentially is nearly full blooded Viltrumite; he knew he had to continue his mission asap. It's like a vacation cut short lol
2 different dimensions, 2 different time lines, 2 different Marks. The 20 year later crew found THEIR Mark that was stuck in a DIFFERENT dimension all by himself for 20 years, he most likely went crazy. They figure okay hes here so we gotta go further back in time. Found OUR Mark then sent him back. The thing that is wrong is that the 20+ year GoG would still have their timeline. Its just the "Invincible is gone" timeline.
yeah that shit is sad and disturbing to think about. a broken mark that lost his mind its even more tragic how he tried his best not to be like his father but he probably ended up worse than his dad. they got the bad ending fr.

Also if you notice, when Mark got back to his dimension, he had a web on his back. That’s because Spider-Man tried to follow him into the portal to help him, but it closed before he got through
He tried to guess every avengers name too based on Spiderman
"I thought you were stronger." That line really hit me. The whole Mark and Levi fight was so good. Also, I love the implication that Agent Spider has been dealing with different dimensions recently. AKA his own Spiderverse! I love this guy.

Angstrom ironically made the seemingly only good Mark kill, when literally every other Mark did so voluntarily and without remorse
And? That doesn't make Mark bad.
@@marmyeaterhe didn't say it did smartass
@marmyeater i don't think OP is calling out our Mark, i think they're calling out Angstrom for meeting his destiny on the path he took to avoid it
that's what makes him a peak villain
@@dankerbell If that was his intention he'd be a decent villain, but he's just a crazed jumble of different traumatized versions of his own mind. His intention was to prove Mark is a bad guy and then kill him. He failed at not only both of those goals, but became a villain himself. His failures are astronomical. How is any of that "peak villain"?
Mark wasn’t evil in every other dimension. He was evil in MOST of them. There’s a big difference there.
Wouldn't that be because those universes dont have viltrumites and marks i.e the marvel and Dc multiverses
No Mark is EVIL in all dimensions besides this one
You'll see...Angstrom has never met a good Mark, that is why he thinks our Mark is bad as well
There is no alternate version of Mark that is good....only ONE
And when he says most, he means most of the ones he's SEEN. If there's an infinite number of universes, there should be a lot of good Marks out there
What he (Angstrom) said in the First part of the 2nd season was that Mark was evil in *Most* other dimensions
@@ibrahimsurti4922 It's infinite universes, there is no such thing as 'only one' when you deal with infinite
Just a reminder that Mark had no idea what Angstroms powers were before this fight. Him getting caught off guard is 100 percent reasonable
@8:49 😂Damn that edit bro!
I think angstrom will be good in the afterlife since he's literally incurably insane. No one could think right in his situation.
@@pabloc8808Not just that, Mark beat Levy in the same way his dad did to him.

I was so confused as to why that was there until halfway I figured out. Oh she’s gonna scream.
The jump from "I can't blame him" to "He gotta go" cracked me up 😭
Keep in mind Mark has never killed ANYONE before this and when he did it just pure rage.
@@diddlypoop he was scared&to be fair levy SAID he was stronger. mark was basically a cornered animal. if anyone gives him shit for biting back at that point then they have lost their marbles. anyone with survival instincts&emotions would have tried to make sure levy can’t move anymore. not necessarily dead but incapable of causing harm&I am still pretty sure that was the initial goal before panic took over.

She’s the GOAT, at first, she kept pushing for Mark to continue pursuing the search of a normal life, but, she just knows he can’t actually have that, she knows he needs to pay attention to bigger things and that he’ll outlive most of the people and the things that are meant to be important.
On the grand scheme of things, he’s right and he has to make every day count and she knows she needs to be the best influence to him while she’s around because, in his lifespan, his mother is just a flicker.
The show is great and I hope the wait for the next season doesn’t last that long.
Mark was right to leave i did too and W mom Debbie
Debbie impact on Mark’s life will be more than a flicker, regardless of his lifespan. She is too important for that
The show is based on the comic which is damn near one for one. The creator of The Walking Dead. He's works on the show as well.
thats why i love this show so much, especially compared to other animated shows- the writing. the characters are believable and even rational almost all the time. they handle terrible situations like youd think they would. this entire episode was pure pain and it is made evident by the dialogue given and the emotions reflected. theres almost always time for scenes to breathe. i hate forced narrative and character choices that dont make sense and this show has had multiple times for characters to continuously grow. its simply brilliant.
Mark Grayson has to be the most “can’t catch a break” type of character I’ve seen. The kid stays getting crapped on.
makes sense he got a crossover with spiderman to be honest, their writers cannot give these dudes a break ever.
@@skyguyflyinghigh At least Mark gets a happy ending when all is said and done. Spider-Man just has to suffer forever apparently.

@juu9do278 True, that's why I said a lot of people
yeah I was like " so what is your brilliant plan then?" especially because they first told him to rush Angstrom 'cause Mark is so fast and then once they see it's not fast enough they critisize that he even tried that.
but it's just thoughts in the moment&kind of shows that they really feel themselves into the situation (panicking for real) so I am not mad.
I don't blame Mark for rushing ta him but I do have an idea. Maybe coming at him from underground super fast? Pull him under?
@@titusorelius9458 I can understand and respect that way of thinking, but I'm not going to bash or diss Mark for not thinking like that. It's really easy from an outside view to tell what he should do.

I love how Mark, Debbie and Nolan all had matching right eyes 😂😅
Nah dawg, that Jump Around beat using Sheera’s voice was wild lmao 🤣
@@Wryyyyyyyyyyyyu I stopped feeling bad after he made the baby bump his head 💀
Edit: And threw him
Nobody with that threatens a woman and a baby the guy was mental

Loved that detail too
Josh keaton ( who was the voice of the spectacular Spiderman)voiced the spider man character in this episode
they did a wonderful job trying to garner sympathy for angstrom when they showed those memories
they also did a wonderful job taking it away instantly when he broke debbie's arm
Apparantly, the sniper Mark hit bro with is a reference to Fortnite cuz he's a skin there too. They're so dope for the easter eggs.

apparently too invincible was in the item shop when the show was released😂
8:51 😂😂😂😂😂 editor deserves a damn raise
12:30 damn lupa let my guy regroup😂😂😂
The ‘jump around’ scream in key was *chefs kiss*
As soon as I saw how bro had his hands on Debbie, even before he broke her arm like a pencil I needed him turned into paste.
the zombie world Mark went to was The Walking Dead Universe, in the comics, he clears out all the zombies in north america, and spider-man teams up w/ Mark in the comics, but obviously Marvel wouldnt allow that
Mark was this close to saying "Why did you make me do this". My god, he really is turning into his father...
Nah
not even close. The context are so different you can't even compare

Crazy thing is Angstrom just made Mark stronger, we don’t know how long he was gone and Viltrumites get stronger as they age.
Mark flew the speed of light, he literally saw all the colours on the spectrum. That's insane.
He’d be going hypersonic, the colours would be the plasma that forms from the air heating up… it would be awesome if he could fly light speed though
Intresting dichotomy between mark and his dad, they both feel more pity for themselves and blaming themselves the "why did you make me do this" hits so hard in this episode it feels like domestic violence- blaming the victim
Mark realizing he can't just be a normal kid he can't have a normal girlfriend or normal life he has to be something more great character development looking forward for season 3
8:54 I was wondering why the music was building up, and the editor did not disappoint 😂
Roshi contradicting himself is basically a gag at this point😂

Mark's Issue isn't neccesarily that he killed...
It's that he WAS NOT forced to. He just got angry. WANTED Levy dead. That's why it shakes him up
he was literally forced to, levy kept threatening his family.
@@hassanasad27 Levy lost. Mark beat him down thoroughly, then kept hitting even when Levy's only real ability to react was to vaguely paw at him. He could have simply forced him to portal them back then dropped him in front of Cecil.
He didn't.
