    Hi, Jim. Boy this is great! 4 of the best! I believe we did some shows together up in wisconsin years ago? Also, Don ,Stu & I are some of the original R.O.P.E. members in Nashville. We sure had some good times together. Miss you all. Thanks for the memories.

    Listening to Don Helms with his finger situation makes me feel connected as I broke my index finger in the 70's and until 2014 I had never picked up the steel after I played a 6 string national as a kid I was able to bend the pick to the position needed to start up again I wounder where have i been??

      I need some faith and help on that one.. I was a fair nightclub fiddler for 60 years but lost much of use of left hand after botched heart surgery. Found I could hold a steel bar.I bought an old 6 string National steel with mother of toilet seat covering. Trying to get C6 in my brain...

    In response to at 7:00, that change from what we call it is the Franklin Change....Paul Franklin did the lowering of those 2 strings Tommy White is referring to, the B and G#.

    You cant put a label of too heavy when it comes to good tone. Tommy is king!
