As an avid collector of watches, when I put this one on for the first time, something came over me emotionally. Something I’ve never felt with a watch before. I have several that are “worth much more” but this particular piece is absolutely stunning on the wrist. Pictures do no justice. I love this more than my Daytona, and put it up there with my AP’s. Nothing compares to this iconic watch. Oyster bracelet for me also. I’m the only one I know who can’t stand the jubilee. To each their own.
Same here and Oyster is the way to go. I was fortunate to get mine at list price at the AD after a short waiting period.I could wear this one every day of the week and if I could only keep one this would be that one.
In my opinion for the GMT, the oyster braclet really accentuates the high polished flanks of the case and the jubilee accentuates the outer shiny rivets on the gmt bezel. I love when the high polished center links match the high polish flanks. Imo
I just traded up my no date 41 for new Pepsi on oyster … I like Batman colors and I wasn’t thinking I would want the Pepsi because of it popularity - well I made the deal last week and I have this Pepsi on my wrist and can’t get over how much better it looks in person than on video and pics I’m very happy I went for it
A very striking watch and Magnum wears one too. Over $10,000 now, compared to one I bought in the 80s for under $1000. They do appreciate in value. Nice review. Thanks.
@@StandardTime I see where he is coming from as purchased both a BLRO and Bluesy last month. Having these two added to my collection, I’m truly done :)
I just bought ,my first rolex. The full gold bluessy. Got it for under retail its a 2024 41 mm. I can get this watch also. For the price of 22k otd it is an oyster braclett may of 2024.Its double retail price.
Iconic or most recognizable worldwide, that would indisputably be the Rolex Datejust, hands down (or wrist up). Rolex has sold, and people are wearing 8-10 times as many as the Pepsi (include ALL GMTs) & Daytonas combined. The Sub is at about half the Datejusts. Where the Pepsi and the Daytona rule, is desirability. Some for the GMT and Chronometer function, but probably the majority because they are hard to get (or easy to get if you’re willing to pay the Premium).
Never liked the GMT range with the split colours- they always looked like a 6 year old's Fisher Price toy for me, but for some reason was always drawn to the Coke. I'd certainly try one if a new ceramic was introduced. It would be interesting.
I have to agree with most everything you said on this video. My dad gave me a Pepsi in October 1967. Since then I’ve had a Pepsi on my wrist. Along with my 2022 Pepsi on an oyster bracelet, since that is what I’ve been looking at the past 55 some odd years. What I don’t like is these twenty something year old kids with their own video. Think that they know more than the watch maker. Let’s face it kids. You want a Rolex for one reason and one reason only. To be seen wearing a Rolex. So regardless. If these are sports figures, Hollywood mob, or a rapper with a yellow gold day date with 950 diamonds. If you have a trash can and you paint it. It’s still a trash can. My 2022 sub sits on my watch winder. This watch I bought to wear. Not put in the safety deposit box.
The nicest looking Rolex out there, but if I desperately wanted a GMT automatic watch, I'd honestly just get a Seiko. I can't justify spending so much on watches that don't even keep time accurately and lack so many basic features.
Pepsi is awesome! But I like the Batman a bit more due to the nicer blue. This is also the reason why Batman is already in my collection - for a Pepsi I’m still waiting though
I often wonder If this watch would be as popular if not for the history and the fact that it was released after the batman. To me, the batman colors are more classy and masculine and easier to match with clothes. Just looks better to me.
I always liked the batman colours too but somehow I find the red in this one rather nice. Had it been released in reverse order, I think the Batman might've been the more popular one too.
To all rolex enthusiasts, please refrain from supporting the grey market. The lack of merit extends to flippers who diminishes the authentic rolex collectors.
Ma786sai Dua my AD can get me a 2023 Ref 136660 DeepSea black. Or do I buy the Gen 2 DeepSea Ref 126660 which has the divers extension. I’m looking for a DeepSea in black not the JC blue black which I had in 2017 but sold in 2020.
This watch belongs on a jubilee, not on an oyster. I will die on this hill I don’t give a fuck. Also why are you attacking us “finance bros”? We can be authentic watch enthusiasts too damn.

Try the Tudor reverse panda also
I love history, simplicity, modesty, and sound technology. Thats why I chose a no-date Sub.

On the fence, hearing a lot of people are having issues with cracked bezels or is this false??? Help please
its a long story. I hope this answers your question. Have a splendid day

I too had always preferred the Batman colour set to this one until I had it in person. I just really love that red on the bezel!

More like 20,000
I’m wondering about the rumours about discontinuing Pepsi due to difficulty of blending red and blue colour.
Pepsi on Jubilee is king of the current catalogue (okay maybe Daytona, but second best)!
Haha, Pepsi king to me. Not the biggest Daytona fan tbh!
sure it is shirley for sure
The watch is not pretentious, but rather a successfully modernized representation of a historically significant timepiece.
The GMT pepsi 16710 is the King! All hail the aluminum bezel lord
I sold my Pepsi and bought a Submariner Bluesy.
Interesting swap. I'm not the biggest fan of the two tone aesthetic, curious why you prefer it
@@StandardTime I see where he is coming from as purchased both a BLRO and Bluesy last month. Having these two added to my collection, I’m truly done :)
@@MrDucatitiOh, how often have I heard that sentence and how often did I say it to myself… 😄 Let this comment age a year.
@@StandardTimewhy not? Its a flash of gold without being gaudy
what a bad swap mate - bluesy is nice especially the blue sunburst dial but overall a pepsi on a jubilee is always more desirable piece than a bluesy.
Another great video brother ❤ 💙 I’ve always been a fan of the Pepsi, but prefer a pre-ceramic version 👍🏼
Thanks bro, and congrats on 20K!! I think I'm gonna have to pick the ceramic over the preceramics tho ;)

Ah that's cool! It would be a hard choice picking between the two, the Batman is the OG but the Pepsi has got that nice red!
My favorite watch. Just wish I had the money
The Pepsi is Iconic!!!🎉🎉🎉❤

Is it just me or is the Pepsi not pretentious at all? It just a Stainless steel sports watch.

bro, you need to wear your watch above the wrist bone like an adult

Followed and subscribed. Good to hear the hard truth once in awhile.
Oyster is the superior bracelet for the Pepsi. More masculine than the jubilee.
The Oyster bracelet is the ’only’ bracelet for GMT-Master II. Jubilee is too fancy.
The Batgirl all day!
Uggggh ENOUGH about the damn GMT Master. And ENOUGH about ROLEX 🙄
If i can buy a rolex pepsi at retail or any of the steel at retail. No problem i will buy. NOT ON GREY F&CK NO aint worth it
The new Diet Pepsi colour looks dull in person comparing older generation
Compared to the preceramics, certainly does. But I kind of like it, slightly more subdued. Really like this slightly maroon shade of red!
@@StandardTime it is still an amazing watch. However it is hard to get it from AD…or need to play the game

So-o-o very tired of hearing about the Rolex "Pepsi." Can't you Rolex reviewers talk about anything else?

Pepsi only on jubilee 🤷♂️🔥
No it’s not the king. It’s a GMT not a Daytona or Sub
Submariner Hulk is by far the King - never seen a more beautiful timepiece than the green faced sub.
Unbelievable watch
For me it's a bit of a toss up. I like the green but I like the GMT functionality as well. But I still prefer these two to the 116710LN.
