I’m 23 and have been watching your channel since I started college in 2017. I graduate in May with my Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science but since I haven’t taken or studied for the exams because of life struggles I had through life/college which also gave me the inability to get internships. Do you have any job recommendations for me to apply to so I can still make use of my degree. Get a decent job and then finally schedule time to study to finally plan to take the examssss.
Hello, I am 52 and considering transitioning into actuarial science starting from the bottom, SOA exams, gathering qualifications, internships and so on…. Some people has discouraged me and suggested to look for a hobby in my life and keep until retirement in my construction field 😢. I have been told this is a marathon like career for early birds with long projection ahead and willing to kiss assess… suggestions?
If you're willing to put in the time for the exams, im not going to discourage you, but it is a large time requirement. I'd just recommend you look within and really ask yourself if you want to devote years to exams

I’m a computer science student and I’m doing an Acturial internship this summer that was offered for cs majors , do u think it will be very different than maybe wat a cs student is learning, cause I do a lot of programming , math and etc.
Really depends on what team you're placed in. There are some actuarial roles that are full of coding and some that aren't. What kind of role will you have?

Not mandatory, but it helps students get experience. In Canada, actuarial internships are paid, which is nice
