Yes I agree. I've never done a twist out but I know what my hair looks like after taking down month old braids so I know that it is possible to get that definition. I wouldn't separate the curls either, that is 💣.com yaaassssssss
@@Giggles50 Very much so. For me I can use the crappiest product but if I keep that twist out in for a a day or two it will definitely come out popping lol
its a learning curve with this product. the first time i used it i hated it and threw it away lol. until i watched jessica, mahoganycurls video on how she used it and gave it another try! now i love it! i keeps my hair moisturized but you cant use a lot of it. it gets sticky and just nasty if u use too much....
That's the key. If you have type 4 hair, especially 4c, don't separate the hair after you unravel the twist initially. The twist out will last forever. As you stretch the hair overnight, without product, it will make it look more natural.
Yes I agree. I always had defined twist outs and I never separated them. I would just let it separate naturally as the days passed. But for the last few months I decided I wanted to follow youtubers and I started separating them and all my hard work ends up looking frizzy, old, and undefined. I'm gonna go back to what works for my 4C hair. ❤
@@toyosi2590 Its the opposite. If a product is formulated with shea butter, that is fine. However, raw shea butter is not necessary. Consistent deep cleansing and quality rinse out conditioners (vs deep conditioner) are best. Contrary to misinformed belief, you don't need to deep condition every week. It can sometimes do more harm than good regardless of whether it's strengthening or hydrating. See how your hair responds to no oils. Leave-ins, daily moisturizers, stylers tend to have enough of them in the formulation to suffice. Try to rehydrate/re-moisturize every 2-4 days following wash day. Trim single strand knots as they come. You'll be good to go.
What I like is you wore EACH SUB-style as a style in itself and thus achieved a longer period of not having to MESS with your hair. Want to see the 'final' stage of this style where you do 'separate' the twists and see how long you can wear the full cycle of styles this 'Twist Out' gave you OPTIONS for wearing. Good video!
Yep. I’ve experienced the discovery of the perfect Twistout too! My 4c hair can be defined too! Lol! My discovery was 3 years ago. Loved watching this! And the trick is just not to separate. Us type 4a don’t need to separate otherwise the frizz comes back
Well this just blew my damn mind! I too am a sufferer of frizzy twist outs that never look like the tutorials, so I am doing this THIS week and filming my results...I am flabbergasted! You look stunning, sis!
I am old enough to be your 'Nana' and probably those of you watching!! I love the compliments that the viewers are giving You. I happened to stumble upon your channel this morning trying to do something with my 3 B hair! I will try this product and do my twists differently using it. I can see the key is to take them apart. Your hair and makeup are very pretty!!
Lovely but I think the true key to why it was that defined is because you left them in for almost two weeks, (unless you've left them in like that before and didn't get the same results)your hair had all that time to "set" in the style, but I'm still going to get that Shea Moisture product at this point I've tried sooo many of their products but I've still never tried this because the reviews use to be so mixed, watching your newer vids I see you still use it so imma give it a go! TFS!
CrystalRenèe 420 okay I’ll be looking out! And I tried it too today but the fact that she didn’t use a detangler and went straight into styling, totally got me caught up. I tried to warm the Shea butter as best I could and use my Camille rose gel, but that combination after JUST washing my hair was def not a success. I ended up having to use an extra product for detangling under all of the gel and shea butter which I’m afraid will ruin the style. 😭😭. I’m gonna wear it for a while and then take it out to see if it even looks put together 🙄. Let me know how yours goes!!
You're video shows the perfect way type 4 hair can maintain length. Protective style twists for about a week or two then a twist out for the remaining week. My scalp too damn itchy to do this though.
Wow. This is definitely not a quick twist out but it surely is the best. You make me want my Two Strand Twist back too. Yup, time for another Hair Store trip.
The best twist out on RUclips! Girl...! This is serious... It explains that our grand-mothers ware right... Hair Butters are the best and have hold...! Thank you sis! Be Blessed 😘
OOOOMMMGGGGG!!!! First off...your hair is AMAZING!!! I JUST shared your. Idea to 5 family members to watch. They are going to be BLOWN AWAY!! Second off...🤣🤣🤣🤣 you had me DYING with your SHOCKED &I SPEECHLESS FACES...I am crying. Great video!! About to watch some more❤️
LET ME BE THE FIRST TO SAY THAT IT’S YOUR TIME NOW!! I have subscribed to a lot of youtubers who lost their way in the “natural hair” community. Most only care about vlogs, but let’s be honest most of us come to RUclips for inspiration and tips for our own natural struggles! I appreciate your bubbly and inviting personality! If you remain consistent you could easily become one of the biggest natural hair youtubers! You’re beautiful and your hair is gorgeous! 😍 THANK YOU!
My best twist out was with Shea butter as well. I braided the roots and twisted down so I could have 3 perfectly defined curls instead of just 2. It was so beautiful.
KEKE!!!!!!!! So first off I watch this video when you posted I have always had the product but I tried it and KEKE KEKE my hair has NEVER Been so moisturized. I lost a lil definition but the moisture last and entire week.Thank you for sharing this video
I just braided my hair with xpression hair but I just love watching natural hair videos. Can't wait to try out this in 3 weeks or so. Thank you for sharing this. Ps: You're so gorgeous!
Came out so pretty ! Was there any product in your hair after the co wash? If I wash my hair the night before to stretch I usually add leave in, shea butter mix, and oil then twist in big plaits(4c hair). Can I do that and then just spritz with water and add the soufflé after stretch?
This is an EPIC twist out, Girl!!! I’ve been trying to do them more but don’t really get the results I want. And I hate that I have to separate it. I’ll have to try this combo. I have a whipped Shea butter that I made, also plain Shea butter but I am curious how it’d turn out with Melanin Hair Care’s style cream too. And I’ve been trying to figure out a way to use my Shea Moisture Soufflé cause it gives a sticky wash n go. That’s for the tips Chica!! So many new combos to try!
Beautiful. I actually achieved this look over the weekend for the first time and I was so excited! Lol I used creme of nature honey moisturizer and sealed with an oil, stretched them and walah :D
Wowzer! Just wow. Have never been able to use that SheaMoisture product, about to pull it out and give it one more try. You are beautiful and your response was the best part! 🤣
I never leave comments on videos, but I wanted to thank you for this tutorial! My twist out has never come out so well and the method was so simple. I did it on my daughter’s hair as well. Thank you! By the way, I’m on my husband’s account. I forgot to log out!😂
Thank you so much for this insightful information. "I'm totally Impress with the outcome" You look gorgeous and trust me I'm definitely gonna try this myself!!🤩
Thank you so much! And I did not remoisturize at all! When I took down my twists, it was still very moisturized. And I used got to be glue gel in the black bottle on my edges ❤
RUclips recommended you. Glad I clicked on this vid. Hair is close to my texture. Yes the pink label of Shea Moisture is everything! Been using it for years! What is the lipstick you have on? Oh and just subbed to your channel.
Literally the best twist out ever! I might have to revisit that product because i tried that product years ago and my hair was super sticky. Can you do a wash day routine? Healthy and moisturized :-)
THIS IS THE MOST DEFINED TWIST OUT I HAVE EVER SEEN
I think that the products, the technique, and the time spent in the twist played a major part in how this twist out turn out. It’s bomb

This is the only way I can do mines. Leave twists in for a few days and do my clumped twist out with no separating. Your hair will get bigger everyday
