I’m so happy with how this came out. Awesome job to the actors! I’ll be joining their ranks soon enough, but... Dang! That scene with the lion war gave me chills! Anyone else felt the same?
Thanks so much! You're so sweet! Voicing her is a lot of fun! I'm glad to have a great cast of people to voice the other characters, too. I think we all really shine together. :)
@@rosevee34 I always imagined Ahadi with a bit of a deeper voice, and I liked Ben's fit for how I think Uru remembers cub Ahadi's personality. :) It's not been the most popular choice I've made, but Ben's performance pleased me and I think he did a good job. ^^
As much as I understand the reasons and the situation of both prides for the bethrotal to happen, it doesn't mean this was the right call: you can't just use people's lives as a payment for debts and call it a day. They took Ahadi's and Uru's lives and decided them for them right after they were born and took away their choice and freedom from them, and on the top of that being told since they were cubs that was going to happen didn't help because it makes them feel controlled, prisoned to it, at least when it came to Uru, and the "your feelings will get stronger in time" didn't help. Yes, they can get stronger...and sometimes they just don't, and then what? You can't force someone into love and expect things to happen like that. As much as I understand the parents had good intentions...it was the wrong call, they created another mess in order to fix the previous one.
Honestly Zuzu had that coming after she said that Uru had no choice about it. If the safety of 2 kingdom's depends on taking the free will of somebody then maybe they deserve to die out.
They should have told her she doesn't have to love Ahadi that they can be married and still be best friends Its funny how they keep making mistakes that will probably lead to Scars future
Well... that would be assuming they kept with real life, where actual lions go: “We’re lions. You may be married but we sleep around with everyone!” The Lion King world is a bit more... civilized. Two people come together and they’re bound for life. And if cheating or divorces occur... wars and conflict start, so yeah... not an easy topic for either the adults or for the cubs.
@@roguelionproductions3030 I'm not saying she should go off and cheat but telling her she'll feel something was kind of the wrong response Telling her she doesn't have to fall for him and can love him as a best friend was an option
It's funny, I feel like Ahadi's voice sounds too old for a cub and too young for a soon to be adult. XD But this is very nice I must admit, wonder when Zira and the Outsiders will come into the story. ;)
So basically there was a war between Uru’s dad’s pride and Ahadi’s grandfathers pride a little while before the start of betrothed Ahadi’s grandfather killed urus dad if I remember correctly and won the war but died shortly after which made Mohatu (Ahadi’s dad) king and that’s where this story starts and just to be clear about who was the good guys and bad guys Ahadi’s grandfather was a tyrant who messed a lot of things up luckily Mohatu was a lot better than his father. Not quite sure if that’s 100% accurate but Nala will probably correct me if I’m wrong need to re read the comic series to remember correctly lol.
What was the backstory of the war between Uru's father and King Mohatu's father again all about? I tried listening to her mom explaining about it, but it sounded so dim. No offense to her voice actress. It's beautiful and I love it!
You can turn on closed captions/subtitles for the video at that part if it would help. :) (I wrote the subtitles myself so YT didn't goof.) But the tl;dr version is that Uru's dad (before Uru is born) won the throne from Ahadi's grandfather, who was a tyrant king, in a fight. The two prides would fight over the throne ever since until a final battle in which Uru's dad is killed, leaving Ahadi's grandfather the winner of the throne. But Ahadi's grandfather dies soon after winning, making Mohatu the king - and also making Mohatu promise to fix the mess he made with the war. Hence, Ahadi and Uru being betrothed.
I think you're trying to say that "she's not a princess" and "her father is Selfish Lion". That's another fan theory and has nothing to do with this story. "Selfish Lion" and Uru are not from the same book series, but are technically part of Lion King the semi-canon (not confirmed, or not appearing in movies or on TV) character collection.
Newsflash! English subtitles (by clicking on "closed captions") are now available for this episode!
Uru is the princess of sass! XD
Indeed. ;P
For real tho!
Looks like Simba got his annoyance of Zazu from Uru!
Now I believe that Simba is like Uru.

Rose Vee don’t worry. I’m sure he’s just going through some awkward growing stages. I’m sure he’ll sound better with age. 😉

Alas, this is the trouble with betrothals and other "life arrangements" done by royal families and otherwise. Very well said.

Yay Ep 2!! This is so awesome!
Watched this last night and came back the following morning to comment. Looking good and curious to see the wedding scene. :3

Good job to all the actors! It was entertaining. :D

“Sure”
Ahadi's voice acting is really good. But I will agree, he sounds almost like a teenager.
This is practically the movie lion king itself!

How did uru s dad gotten killed by the not fair king lion.
