Thanks. It's a fantastic lake to fish. I'm looking forward to going back up there when it's warmer to chuck a fly out on the Carp lake 👍

Nice to have the place to yourself especially when you're catching. That fly keeps catching for you.i know most fisheries want barbles hooks but I have seen fish with damage on these waters.when a hook works it takes the strain on the bend of the hook and if there is no barb the point is free to cut every time it shakes it head.with a barb it is more locked in.the only advantage is fish are easier to un hook .I use barbless like everyone else but it is something I check when returning a fish.

Hi Robin, yeah I was on my own until around 10.30 & then quite a few other anglers rolled up. I love the peace & quiet of fishing so much prefer it that way. The barbed or barbless subject is one that is up for much debate, & everybody has their own opinions on it. Same as you I just adhere to the rules of the fishery I am at & at Farleton it is barbless so that's how I fished it. I think what swings a lot of fisheries to opt for barbless is irresponsible unhooking with barbed hooks & hooks being torn from the fishes mouth causing potentially permanent damage to the fish & risk of infection. It's a minefield of a subject but fish welfare should always come out on top 👍

Cheers for saying that Robin, I'm enjoying making them. It's just the same really....except with a couple of cameras & me speaking what I'm thinking instead of saying nothing 🙂

Very enjoyable watch. Can you please give the price of the day ticket when you visit different waters.

Hi Anthony, if you look on the Wadaa website & select Farleton View, you will find day ticket details there & can purchase online. The price differs dependant on your details & a price will be given once you've completed the online form. I should have mentioned in the video that the Carp lake there is for members only. Hope this helps. Paul 👍
