Cool DIY Macrame Chandelier made from metal planter

Let me show you in this tutorial how I made a beautiful macrame chandelier out of a hanging metal planter and 4mm macrame yarn. For more info please also check out my blog post for more detailed photos and descriptions.

Materials needed:
4mm macrame cord amzn.to/3uLWPPs
metal hanging basket amzn.to/327TQVe (I bought the 18-inch one but you could buy the smaller 16-inch one or even go larger if you’d like)
sharp craft scissors
comb
fabric stiffener amzn.to/3wRKD19
hair straightening iron
nail
fairy light fixture amzn.to/2Qfiv7p or another lighting kit
(clips optional for help)

LOL yes, it is time-consuming. You should only attempt this if you like crafting or if you are on a serious budget. It's my hobby and I live on a budget ;) And thank you, I do have patience when it comes to these types of projects because I love the challenge.

This is absolutely gorgeous!! I love it!! And I actually have that exact metal basket. I never have what I need so this is a lovely surprise! I'd like to incorporate some natural wood bead swags, that can't be too difficult? I'm a novice but once I get in the zone, I catch on relatively quick, usually! lol Have you tried alternating the thickness of the rope?

Thanks so much! You should definitely be able to add wood beads. They always look great with macrame. And different thickness of the macrame cord is great too. I usually just use what I have on hand at home. It tends to be 4mm which is my favorite. Good luck
