Great video. I have all walls open in another tab.. ordering tapetech stuff and deciding exactly what to get. I’m sick of hand taping entire houses. Lol
I noticed you took the springs off of your box as well great video you should explain why you took it would make for good footage and another thing when I run my butt joints I don't put the wheels on the wall it makes for a tighter finish and less chances of hitting your flat if I can I run the box without the wheels on the wall all the time it eliminates you having to wipe behind the box I have the same type box as you I love it much better than my Columbia one the Columbia one leaves way too much mud I need to run it on a three for the first coat
You pay some close attention. Bravo! I did take springs off. It’s a lot easier to push it. I have always wipe down behind my boxes and I think using the box like that without the wheels on the wall works to break a lot.
One last thing as far as the boxes go, I have a set of north stars as well which I do you like better than my tape techs, but I’ve been using the tape for the most part as I haven’t had time to switch back.
About a year in using the boxes and loved this video , had never tried but joins with them hut will deffo give it a go. Thanks for showing the consistency mate , I'm definitely running it a fair bit thicker
@@manwithapan do you mean a fully fledged plasterer? my employee left about 6 month ago , hut coincided with the pace coming down from 6th gear to 5th , so it's been perfect over here 🙌
It will depend on the brand of Boxes you are using. I use Tape tech and Northstar! My tapetech 10” box, I run on 1 or 2 on flats depending how deep they are. On butts I run it on 0. My nothstars, I run on 2 for flats, 0 on butts. An easy way to see what settings you need is to just check the flat with your knife after you run it. If your knife does not make a line on flat lower the number. If the line from the knife is to thick which will be humpy, then make the number higher.
I’ve been doing this since I was 19 years old. I learned mostly by watching and seeing people make mistakes. I improved on those mistakes. It was a combination of many finishers I’ve seen. Specifically two people that sanded behind me for more than three years. All I had to do was finish board. They would come in and sand light out the house and then bring the Finisher back in to see the problems.
Shout out to your camera guy, he really did a good job! Thanks for the informative video.

Tapetech are good. They have less crown in them then others. But you can always bend the blade housing a bit to make the crown.
@@manwithapan did my first job with them last week. Mad at myself for waiting so long to get auto tools! 😂
@@CLamb385 they save a lot of time.
You are a beast ,the drywall hanging is mighty clean and that is a game changer ,your forchanet to have good hangers ..

Learn a lot from your video, Any tips about the boxing blade setting? Any adjustment for the edge of the blade so it cut perfectly or just flat?
