LDOH … we made it to Thredbo, we made it to the bell. Ellstacker conquered the T-Bars and claimed a day of Snowboarding in September. Then we got smoked by the for the most part the longest run at an Australian Snow Resort.

The trees starting to show up at the half way point so different then the trees here in the states!
Mostly Pine Trees in the States, pretty much all Aussie Gum Trees here. Thinner and IMO more fun to ride in between :-)

I’m you at 12:00… no way I’m riding 20 mins straight… learned the hard way at Killington last season!
@@goodridevibes Its a long time to ride and rather steep in parts so being on the brakes a bit helps with the fatigue setting in as well.

Haha! thanks man 😊 ... I am mostly going for comfort and I hate wearing bulky Jackets, so only bust them out when its pukeing
@@chuck__van I wear these waterproof performance fleece hoodies from Burton a lot of the time… they look and feel just like a normal sweatshirt, but don’t get soaked with you fall down in slush or get snowed on

Years ago when I still had more strength in my legs I did this run in one go. Took me about 9 or 10 minutes as I wasn't a very competent skier (still isn't :P) so I wasn't going very fast. Needless to say, by the end of the run, I had to take a full half an hour to recover LOL
I took the Supertrail, though, not turning left to Friday Flat like you did.

I have to say that miss it also...
The full length of the Village Trail is 5km. However on this day the bottom section of it was cloaed due to Snow melt. The way we went substituted at the bottom a run called "Sundowner" which also finished us a little closer to the car and is a similar if not slightly longer distance by maybe a couple hundred meters. 🙂
Once you got off the top the snow looks better, very wide and out cropping rocks and no trees!
It was a rather warm day... actually the first day of spring time down here. It was a bit windy at the top but not too crazy, although the audio on the camera got smoked. Snow got progressively, more slushy, wet and thin as we made our decent to the base of the mountain. Thanks for watching!!

NB - Actually I ramped the speed up to about 700% in the moment just before the slash then dropped it down to 40% ... that helps make the effect look even more cool.

@@chuck__van It's to a ski lift what a platypus is to nature. He did great for first encounter.
