We've had a queen size tuft and needle mattress since June 15th, 2016. we absolutely love it! In early September we went on vacation and I kept telling my husband that I couldn't wait to get home to our Tuft and Needle bed! It is fabulous! I agree that it isn't too soft or to firm. it really is just right. We still love it 7 months later. We have a box spring under it and haven't noticed any sagging. We love it so much that we just purchased a twin size Tuft and Needle mattress for our daughter who is about to turn 3. For all of the skeptics if you read the T&N story on their website you will see that the founders were so fed up with being taken advantage of when buying a mattress and then being stuck with it because the warranty was pretty much a hoax. These guys are out to change the market because they can and they have come up with a fabulous product that lives up to hype. I also really like that there is a 100 night trial in your own home. If you don't like it then just donate it and I believe you get your money back. we haven't had to do that, but be sure that my husband looked into it extensively before buying. I highly recommend this mattress and the company it comes from!
jennifer Gonzalez box spring? we have a platform bed for my daughter. We have a Sleep Master Smart box spring, Queen size for our bed and it fits perfectly with the tuft and needle mattress.
I have had my Tuft&Needle mattress for about a year now. Love it ! Also loved the gift/thank you box that Tuft&Needle sent a few weeks after my mattress arrived. Nice company.
Great review. You helped me solve my bed foundation problem. My slats are 4 1/2 wide and been looking to buy another foundation but the slats on there are also 4-5 wide. I will defiantly go with the plywood as I see it gives better support. My mattress came yesterday and ready to sleep on it 😁
Chantel I was concerned about that as well, i like the metal frames and I've seen a mattress shop that puts a bed sham looking thing over it so I wonder if that helps. I wonder if there is a company that makes something so we all don't have to get ply wood for our beds
We bought our T&N about a year ago. It's honestly been the best sleep we've ever had. We are looking at buying our first home now, and we have every intention on ordering T&N mattresses for every bedroom, lol. So comfy.
I think the reason there are so many new mattress-in-a-box companies springing up everywhere is because they are making a killing! The cost of the foam plus the mark up they making is very lucrative. They are over priced without a doubt.
Great review Thank you! While I purchased the T&N I did return it and eventually purchased and kept the Yogabed, but honestly they feel a lot alike. The Yogabed may be juuuust a wee bit softer, but its foam responds so fast it's no issue and they both sleep cool. The T&N is less expensive so in hindsight I could have saved money and been happy. Note I also tried the Purple (yuuuuk for me) and Casper meh... I love my yogabed but probably would be just as happy with T&N. Its just the order of which I tried and decided I liked the Yogabed but both are awesome!
oh yeah I have heard the purple is very nice but is looks so squishy. I have never heard of yoga bed. but maybe i can try one out some how. Maybe I can have them all send me a mattress for fun and see what is the best. That would be cool. thanks for watching.
Ok. I love it! It's only been day two and I am pleasantly surprised with my new King size Tuft & Needle mattress. I wish it were thicker but I'm a happy customer.
Great video, u hit all the right questions. Bummer about having to get plywood. Most everyone I know has slatted bedframe too. But love to hear more on how COOL it keeps it's sleeper. Purple and Casper don't say enough about this too. Majority of buyers are women, hight% of female population is over ~45yrs old meaning they have night sweats. Wish one of these new mattress companies would differentiate around this...tell us how it keeps the users cool. Shoot even offer a new technology, cover that makes it even more cool.
I think you only need the plywood if the gaps in your slats are bigger than 4 inches. I have a T&N on the way and I'm going to put them directly on my ikea slats, which only have an inch or so gap.
Pulled the trigger on the Avocado Green Mattress which is organic without the hype. Tuft and Needle was an option for me but liked the other brand better and had better materials for not that much more.
The Avocado is hand made and sleeps great. It's supportive and doesn't sink or get too hot. I did my research and looked at all the brands. For a little more you get so much more with Avocado.
Not much more?? You are kidding, right?? Avocado is $1,699 + another $500 if you want the pillow top. The Tuft & Needle is $750. Not exactly what I would call "not much more". I'm sure the Avocado is a fine mattress but it's over 2 X the cost.
James Patton So far I slept like a baby and I had no body pains. Lol I took a nap today too. Am loving it😍 maybe in 2 years I can up grade to the mint but I wanted to try the original first. Thks again
I have chronic back pain ? how much does it sink? how is the support for your lower back? I usually dont prefer softer mattresses. You think this is firm enough to support your lower back ? And does it sink as time goes by like in a month or 2?
It supports my back and doesn't sink too much for me. I weigh 200 and 6'4" so my weight is spread out. But it has not been getting softer and I've had it for a few months now
Look into the Saatva Loom & Leaf if you haven't bought yet. I have chronic back pain also and I researched for hours today and theirs looked the best. I bought 1 but wont have it for 2-3 weeks.
Are you in Michigan or Arizona with this mattress? Just wondering if the climate would make a difference in whether the mattress sleeps warm or not. I am definitely looking for something that sleeps cool. Great review though. Thanks a lot.
What kind of sheets did you all use? 10 inch? I’m torn at getting regular sheets that say “can fit up to 16 or 18 inch mattresses” worried if those would be too baggy?
AM2PM I didn’t realize I commented twice! I thought it was two different channels, guess I didn’t look that closely! I did see your other comment. Thanks for the advice. I have, but I don’t want to spend a whole lot of sheets
there are no pillows at the foot of the bed.we just tucked our comforter in the end so it stays put when sleeping. We sleep under the comforter like a blanket. Sometimes we tuck comforter and sometimes we do not.
yes I believe you can't go wrong with it for the price and the warranty. I am a combo sleeper so it works for me and my wife likes a softer mattress and sleeps on her sides. So it works for us both!
@@AM2PMReviews No I haven't but I've kind of settled on trying this one out because of the cost factor. We've tried to remedy our bed with things like a memory foam top, and more recently a pillow top (which actually is very nice but having to fluff it every few days sucks). I might take a look just 'cause ;).
curious how the mattress has been in the last couple years. I was just informed by T&N that you should not use plywood under the mattress because it won't allow airflow and the plywood could develop mold and mildew. Have you lifted up the mattress to see how the plywood is holding up? Thanks.
Thanks James. Looks like the mattress has held up pretty well over the years. It looked like you still have it on the plywood. No issues with moisture or mold on the plywood?
Hi Tim, this is about a medium/medium firm bed. I would recommend a firmer bed like a hybrid we have reviewed such as an Amore or Idle for you. The little pocketed coils make them a little more firm.
So how are you liking the mattress? I've looked at many like the Leesa & Casper but the Tuft & Needle is just a lot cheaper & offers the same things as the competitors. I need to buy a new mattress when I move to Florida at the end of September. Would love to know if it's still treating you nicely.
j peezy we still have it but have found it is a little too firm for side sleeping. It is great for back sleeping! We have a Nectar now and love it! Check out my nectar reviews!
Not to be indelicate or anything but how is it for intimacy with your wife? Ive heard of some mattresses that sleep well but are horrible for everything else.
@@AM2PMReviews i will say this. we have a foam bed, it was ok at first but when we got frisky it was like sinking into quick sand. its awful for those intent moments. lol. our bed is the Amerisleep brand. i do not love it at all. but this one sounds interesting. ours is super thick and so squishy and has a huge soft area where my husband sleeps. its like a big cream puff and has zero support and we got the middle grade support, not soft and not hard so its just all broke down now and we need a new one asap.
I would greatly appreciate an immediate response... do you still have this mattress and how is it holding up? I'm looking to get either this or the purple mattress today or tomorrow. My back is killing me! Thanks in advance ~
Ahmad Hanif I still have it and like it. I am wondering what the purple is like. This is firm but nice. You can buy the tuft and needle and if you don't like it buy the purple
Yes! I prefer a softer bed, my husband prefers a firm bed and somehow this bed is satisfying to both our comfort levels. Great company, amazing product, and affordable.
So how is it now over 1 year later? Any sagging, low spots, etc, any issues now? BTW I just ordered a T&N 'mint' (new model) should be here in a few days. Hope its all everyone says.
it is basically the same. We have it in our guest bedroom because we prefer the Nectar. You can see my nectar reviews of the mattress. Let me know how the Mint is! I want to see it.
My boyfriend is a 6'2 tall and 180 pounds, while i am 5'4 around 130 pounds. We are trying to find a mattress that supports both of us, something comfy but also we have this problem where during the night the side my boyfriend is on--it gets more indented, deepened than my side since i am lighter, so there is always this weird slant towards him and it kills my back because its uneven. I am debating between Leesa and Casper right now and wondering which would be comfy but also firm enough to not cause an imbalance in the bed with our different weights. His side always gets more indented or pushed down since i am lighter than him, so my side gets slightly elevated. I feel like the bed is also sinking in the middle within itself. Also, which one is better with movement? I always wake up when he moves.
See this is the problem with reviews is I guess its subjective I'm disabled several issues Lupus so I have neuropathy but I have a messed up back/lumbar and hip I bought a Purple mattress the best reviews but the thing is so hard, I need a mattress on the softer side. So you would consider this more of a firm mattress ? Thanks David
Hey David, I think this is a little firmer than we thought. Its probably a 7 on the firmness scale. I have heard the Purple is firm. Purple now makes a few different mattresses so maybe it is softer now. For a really soft mattress, I would recommend a new Mattress called Amore. It has two sides. One is softer and one is firmer. It is affordable too! We have tried the Sweet Zzz mattress which is the softest one yet. I think it is too soft but you may like it!
Thanks Big Jim or James sorry, now these are 10"thick right because a lot of the comparisons with Casper are the $995. mattress which I guess is 10" also but the one id get is 8.5" but I'm thinking $575 sounds better less coupon.
Maybe that is true! The people who test that said 10 years which is why they have that warranty. Also, I am not sure I want to sleep on it that long for sanitary reasons. Also, my wife likes a softer bed so maybe that will be good for her.
On Amazon I see a lot of raving reviews from people who have had their T&N beds a short time, but the two stars and under are generally made up of people who are months into sleeping on one. They generally have similar reviews of premature sagging in the middle. How has you T&N held out, are you still as satisfied nine months later?
Kind of cool. Sounds like a good product from reputable owners. Now that you've been sleeping on it for several months, just wondering if there's anything you guys like/dislike that wasn't apparent from the time of the unboxing. Also, I would imagine if there were some reason you had to ship it back, it would be "a bear" to fit that thing back into it's box:)
I hear T&N mattresses are a "bang for the buck" type purchase... just remember that warranties are gimmicks... the 10 year warranty sounds nice, but say they went out of business next year.... Your warranty is no longer valid.
One of these companies needs to offer to PICK UP THE EXISTING BED. it's hard to get rid of an old mattress. That would seal the deal..if Casper, Purple or T&N offered to pick up the old one and recycle it, they would get my $$.
Jane Westfall I live in Kansas City and was able to find a place that will pick up my old mattress and recycle it. There's also a company called Sleepyhead Beds that will take your old mattress and donate it to a child that doesn't have a bed.
So if I can't afford the crazy bed set, hows just throwing it on the floor? More sag potential? Cause 750 for a king that i can return after 100 dayz is sick. Not much experience in beds, I have had a twin for YEARZZZZZZZZZZ so anything to me is probably amazing. t and f says I can throw it on the floor no box spring, I am skeptical.
Zachary Manning the floor is the same as any platform so it doesn't matter. It might be kinda short though. The comforter is just nice for warmth. It was a cheap one like 50 bucks... not fancy
Idk i've always had a box spring too so I thought they were like..... needed for your back or some crap. That's the one thing rofl 10 inches is so low to the ground, I am already low to the ground with the bed and box spring. I'd rather be lower than higher i think, hard for me to wake up lol easier to just roll onto the floor. I haven't had a nice blanket in ages either. Want a big soft warm one :Q
Box springs are not necessary with mattresses like this any longer. A foam mattress like this works best with uniform resistance under it, such as the floor, or a platform deck, or a bunky board, or a slat grid. It works just fine on the floor, but to optimize convectional airflow (keeping you cool), you want to have some of the underside exposed, so it's best to use a perforated platform deck or a slat grid. Conventional slats are too few and widely-spaced; an actual slat grid will often have 16-24 slats in a frame. I started by using the floor, I'm currently using a slat grid with 20 slats in it, and I'll progress to a perforated platform deck of my own design sometime in the next 6 months. These mattresses are all about mobility, too. They are lighter and less of a challenge to transport, even from room to room. Why compound the mobility grief by having to transport a box spring, too?
Yes its part two on my channel. its just a quick update. I still like the mattress a lot. My wife now has a soft foam topper on her side of the bed after 8 months of sleeping on it. still no issues.
Are you kidding me? I got this two days ago and it smells horrible still. I can't believe you say it doesn't smell. It's possible they changed their build process but as of Oct the bed smells horrible. It actually wakes me up. Lucky they have 100 day return as they say the smell will go away in a week.
I have returned beds in the past due to the horrible off-gassing. I was WORRIED about the possibility of it smelling toxic. But to my surprise, this bed didn't off-gas or smell bad. It did, however, smell like a mild new-latex smell, but is didn't seep through my sheets at night and keep me up like previous beds have. So sorry you had a bad experience.
Whose bright idea was it to put the word Needle in the mattress name? When you think lying on something comfortable, Needle definitely doesn't come to mind.
HAHA she was just super shy lol our first mattress review. I didn't have a camera so i used my phone and so i told her to speak up since the mics suck.
I have chronic back pain and i bought a mattress from R@S mattress and i have had it for maybe a little over a year or so and i get pressure points and i have been trying to get it replaced but there ridiculous they have some guys inspect it witch is a joke taking a string and laying it across the bed and measuring how much its sink in is just beyond ridiculous I hate my bed
Honest Cigar Reviews thanks I think I will like it I would have to go to there store and test it out I live in Queen Creek so it's long drive I will go out to downtown Phoenix it's just it's a long drive.
Nathan Hamberg I would recommend the drive, I heard they are opening up a store in gilbert but I'm not sure when. I had been on the fence but this video confirms my feelings about the T&N
i still get pain in my lower back sometimes now but i don't think its the mattress, i think i have anterior pelvic tilt. but i still like the mattress! My wife put a topper on her side of the bed to make it more soft for her.

They're married and probably bored of each other by now like most married people...they probably only have mechanical obligatory sex at this point.
Kim Granger have you seen our Puffy Lux? It’s super nice and so is the new Mint
Thanks... ordered a t&n yesterday. Should have it by tue/wed next week.
I'm watching this while laying on my tuft & needle mattress 👌🏼
Cailey Dawn do you like it?
Yes! I prefer a softer bed, my husband prefers a firm bed and somehow this bed is satisfying to both our comfort levels. Great company, amazing product, and affordable.
Do you sleep on your side?
Hello looks like it's been about 3 years since you did this. Do you still have this? If so any update on it?
Hey Jared. Yes we have an updated video showing what it looks like and how to clean the cover on it.
@@AM2PMReviews can you send link? I can't find it
@@jared997 sure i found it. ruclips.net/video/NLP7zBUmFa4/видео.html
Here is our Amazon link too! it has some good reviews. @Jared

You're reviews are the best.
thank you!

Okay this is Thanksgiving 2018 do you still have the mattress
Gorgeous cat!
thank you! we try to include our pets in all mattress videos lol.
have you had any issues with excess feathers on or under the bed??
feathers? It is made of foam. :)
what type of plywood did you use and the measurements for each square
i just used i think good quarter inch stuff.
you only need it if your slats are far apart like mine.
James!!! I wish you could come included with the mattress.
:)
Never tried the Leesa and Casper. I have the Nectar mattress now and I love it!
I've been dying to get one of those.
it is firm but very awesome!
What pillows do you use?
Eric Gamboa I have a memory foam pillow with a curve in it. She has an old regular pillow
Here are some coupons I have:
Amore Mattress: goo.gl/294mpZ
Idle Mattress:goo.gl/3jGh1v
Sweet Zzz: goo.gl/Z7xA1z
Nectar Sleep: goo.gl/XXdoaW
Thanks Big Jim or James sorry, now these are 10"thick right because a lot of the comparisons with Casper are the $995. mattress which I guess is 10" also but the one id get is 8.5" but I'm thinking $575 sounds better less coupon.
What size were the plywood pieces you used?
Raul Orozco that would depend on your bed.
i have the same cat ...but i read all foammattress lose its stiffness about 5 years reg. use
Whoops, just saw you posted a six month update. Good to see that you're still satisfied. Looking to purchase one soon.
I just wish it was cooler. But I live in Phoenix so it's so dang hot here. Sometimes sleeping on my side isn't as comfy
Still liking it? I am shopping and the choices seem daunting almost pushing me to Tempur.
yes i like it. if you don't like it, you can get your money back
I hear T&N mattresses are a "bang for the buck" type purchase... just remember that warranties are gimmicks... the 10 year warranty sounds nice, but say they went out of business next year.... Your warranty is no longer valid.
very true. thanks for watching.
I am from the future. Can confirm they are still in busines, and warranties are still valid.
I'm going to try it. I ordered one in Queen....... IT'S ON IT'S WAY TO ME :)
Let me know what you think
How did it work out for you?
+ALEX ANDUJAR thanks!
:) AWESOME MATTRESS T & N :) WE LOVE IT SO COMFY NO OTHER SINCE WE GOT THIS IS VERY COMFY :) WE SLEEP ALL NIGHT :)
GREAT TO HEAR!
You mentioned Phoenix show room... Where is that at?
Off of grand ave and 7th I think
Marvin Allen Have you seen our new Tuft and Needle Mint?
One of these companies needs to offer to PICK UP THE EXISTING BED. it's hard to get rid of an old mattress. That would seal the deal..if Casper, Purple or T&N offered to pick up the old one and recycle it, they would get my $$.
deal with your own problems yourself
Set it out with a "for sale" sign on it and let someone steal it overnight--- problem solved...
Jane Westfall I live in Kansas City and was able to find a place that will pick up my old mattress and recycle it. There's also a company called Sleepyhead Beds that will take your old mattress and donate it to a child that doesn't have a bed.
Do you guys have a T&N? Have you seen my other mattress vids?
Is Nectar better than tuft?
in my opinion yes.

How is the motion transfer??
+Felicia Artis very good. Like a memory foam
Want a big soft warm one :Q
im geting one after see this vid
great! i have also reviewed the Nectar mattress! we think it is a little more comfy.
Did you say you paid $800 for it? If you bought it directly from T&N it's $600 and free shipping not including taxes. I am contemplating buying it.
yes its the king...so its 750 bucks. then taxes it think.
$900 for the king
are box springs not a thing anymore?
D Jay T yes but not as popular now
I see. Just seems like it'd be a more comfortable base for the matress
yes but not necessary.
Is that a seiko skx I spy? You sir, have good taste in watches.
Matthew Burbich oh yeah I have a nice collection
Honest Cigar Reviews as do I. It’s addictive. Love my skx. They are built like a tank
is the legends furniture the one on tolleson ?
no but i got it from another furniture store but that store might have this frame. not sure.
Yes it’s made there I found out!
This video will make me pick TN over purple
Miranda V nice I want to try that too
Pam H. I just got a puffy mattress and it felt a little hard too
have u made another review further into your 100 day trial?
Yes its part two on my channel. its just a quick update. I still like the mattress a lot. My wife now has a soft foam topper on her side of the bed after 8 months of sleeping on it. still no issues.
Is your wife a side or back sleeper?
Linda Soucy she is a side sleeper. Have you seen our new Tuft and Needle Mint?
Good video! I looked very good. What do you think of Jimmy Hendrix? If you like my guitar and harmonica you will be happy.
oh i love jimmy hendrix.
Nice skx009!
Fadi Najor thanks! Good eye
Isn't purple better?
I don't know. Never tried one. There is Casper and purple and many others
are you a side sleeper? I wake up with my arm and neck hurting with my bed.
Red Beard I sleep on every side! Have you seen our newest video the Tuft and Needle Mint? It’s better than the original.
Are you kidding me? I got this two days ago and it smells horrible still. I can't believe you say it doesn't smell. It's possible they changed their build process but as of Oct the bed smells horrible. It actually wakes me up. Lucky they have 100 day return as they say the smell will go away in a week.
professorquack strange mine didn't smell at all. It was oder free and almost like fabreeze fresh.
Wow! When that mattress inflated!!!
:) AWESOME MATTRESS T & N :) WE LOVE IT SO COMFY NO OTHER SINCE WE GOT THIS IS VERY COMFY :) WE SLEEP ALL NIGHT :)
yeah it is very nice!
i worked for tuft and needle company for ware house.
nice. Did you like it?
I just got the mattress yesterday and can't try this .
why can't you try this?
Whose bright idea was it to put the word Needle in the mattress name? When you think lying on something comfortable, Needle definitely doesn't come to mind.
Word Unheard true
needle probably comes from 'needle & thread'....knitting & sowing
4:05
This Tuft and Needle smells great, doesn't it? DOESN'T IT WOMAN!?!?
HAHA she was just super shy lol our first mattress review. I didn't have a camera so i used my phone and so i told her to speak up since the mics suck.
I have chronic back pain and i bought a mattress from R@S mattress and i have had it for maybe a little over a year or so and i get pressure points and i have been trying to get it replaced but there ridiculous they have some guys inspect it witch is a joke taking a string and laying it across the bed and measuring how much its sink in is just beyond ridiculous I hate my bed
this is firm so i like it but it forgives too! you might like it.
Time has passed, still have this? any issues?
its still doing GREAT! its been almost three years.
Hot like other memory foam?
I sweat in my Tempurpedic thats 20 years old
Any holes or gullies?
may I ask your size?
Two months later any complaints?
Nope. But I would say get a thin pillow because you don't sink in as much
I just can't justify paying this much for foam. Most of that mattress is cheap poly foam.
Jeffrey B yeah now there are cheap mattresses on amazon! Have you seen our videos on that?
How is the mattress now...about 9 months later?...found a 6th month video
great! it is too firm for my wife but i like it!
Too bad your mattress will mold without air circulation on the bottom. Plywood bad, slats or box springs are the way to go to prevent that.
yes we are using this mattress as a box spring at the moment because we like our nectar mattress better.
there's two minutes of my life I'll never get back dude get to the point I don't need to see your trip to Home Depot
F Brind hahaha sorry we are better now! Have you seen our new Tuft and Needle Mint our Puffy Lux?
