The Russians are tricking dumb college girls into cancelling good, liberal celebrities who did nothing wrong and are just trying to Impeach trump with facts and logic.
It’s very amusing to compare this to 30 Rock, which premiered at roughly the same time. For one thing, especially in retrospect, these shows don’t seem like contemporaries at all. Studio 60 feels like a 90s project. The most important difference was that early on 30 Rock figured out that the show within the show was bad and had no pretenses about it. Meanwhile Studio 60 never gave up the idea that their stupid sketch comedy show is not only funny but actually important and edgy when to the viewer it so plainly isn’t any of those things.
Well one is a comedy the other is an epic political drama. I think Studio 60 error is showing the stupid sketch, the Felix interpretation of DBZ is perfect. But you don't show Goku you just pulp fiction every episode, like the joke of plain trains and automobiles. I mean if you could just write such a great sketchsthe show wouldn't be watched for the drama.
@@nicanornunez9787 Hell, the DBZ comparison is why I find Mr. Satan’s character so baffling. The world of DBZ is one where the public knows about people who can shoot energy beams, make copies of themselves, grow extra limbs, grow fifty feet tall, regrow limbs, like just the stuff from OG Dragonball, and somehow it’s this greasy Hulk Hogan type with no magical powers that’s considered the World’s Champion???
they probably only watched a handful of episodes for this but god I wish they had seen the episode where DL Hughly takes Chandler to a black comedy club to see an up and coming comic that they could potentially hire and I swear to god the guy they originally go to see starts doing some unga bunga shit on stage and Chandler's whole demeanor is like how dare you waste my time with this while DL Hughly is profusely apologizing, like begging for forgiveness. Maybe YOU need to watch a couple episodes of this show. Or just watch that episode. I watched the series again last month and what you are describing is NOT what happened in the episode.
More people know Gilbert and Sillivan from fucking Mass Effect 2 than actual Gilbert and Sullivan, and the alien singing it is like 85. Jesus Sorkin does not have his finger on the pulse of culture.
Sorkin also makes sitcom writers smart, but not funny in Bring the Ricardo’s. He writes Lucille Ball as a tough as nails genius who is not funny at all off screen.
Dammit so it was THIS episode that makes me think to myself every time I see a poster for Women Talking, I always say to myself “Women Do Be Talking Like That”…
Remember seeing that epic trailer for the Social Network and then watching it and realizing that it was Sorkin all the way through and not even Trent Reznor and David Fincher could save it?
I really want an Aaron Sorkin Cancel Culture movie, and it somehow involves Russiagate. I'm just putting this out there for the universe.
Why would you curse the universe like this
Don't put that evil on us! Don't you do it!
i could definitely get behind this. Weirdly enough though, sorkin's last film: The trial of the Chicago seven, was actually very good i thought

It would open with the very first scene of x-men

they need to break down the Sorkin Entourage episode

🤣
and Matt should talk like the old timey radio guy

It’s a generation thing, Zoomers know them from Mass Effect, Millenials (like the Chapos) know them from The Simpsons
Mordin is not 85. He's only about 35, which is like 85 in Salarian years.

Awful movie.
So bizarre that this walk-and-talk fictional pseudo-political speech specialist think he has any insight or capacity to write comedy and about comedy.
Imagine making a movie about Lucille Ball and making it as dry as possible
Tbf, Lucille Ball didn't fuck around business wise. That's how we got star trek

Yup, still funny
Listening to this episode in 2024 and the discussion of Joe Biden is just as true as ever.
Love when felix brings up kate upton
I have never seen Studio 60 so when i saw the image for this vid I first thought it was the shitty knock off of 30 Rock from an alternate universe
Felix really loves coming back to that Tom of Finland line huh
I think we all yearn for a more masculine time
cuz its never not funny

A small nitpick, but Modern Major General comes from Pirates of Penzance, not HMS Pinafore
It’s from the one about duty.
