YES! The Energel brown is my favorite! You are the only other person I've seen with that same pen :)

New subscriber here and I’ve been enjoying your videos so much 😊 I have the little Tools to live by-scissors and they are so pretty and cute! But I only use them on the road for small quick tasks. I recently got the “Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Mini-Snips 5 inch” scissors for cutting out stickers sheets I’m making - and I’m super happy with them! Very comfortable in the hand and very precise 👌 Thanks for sharing this lovely video 🥰

So glad to hear that you've been enjoying my videos :) That's very encouraging! I ended up getting the Tonic Studios Tim Holtz scissors and like them quite a bit! Maybe I also should take more breaks when I do cutting sessions :D

@@MaikeOatley Ohhh I'm so glad you like the Tim Holtz scissors as well!! 🙌 Haha yes - I always need to set a timer for myself when cutting out stickers, otherwise I would be cutting stickers for like 5 hours straight 😆🙃

I use and love the Tim Holtz 5" scissors. They self sharpen and the handles are so comfy I can cut for ages without pain!

Hi Maike, lovely video and thanks for talking about some of your daily supplies. I loved the dedicated stickers release book for your own art stickers - so many beautiful creations - it almost feels like you should create a permanent catalogue of them with dates so could see your creations grow with your artistic skills.
I can highly recommend the Tim Holtz scissors, I hesitated/delayed at first as they are pricy but I live with a neurological disease so my hands experience cramping and fatigue - I also need to use wider barrel pens for the same reason - I find fountain pens easier to write with - less hand fatigue than with gel or rollerball pens.
I also wanted to point out that I have the same A7 Kraft grid notebook but I took the spiral binder off to remove some of the pages and keep the loose sheets in the Kraft folder of my TC Passport TN. - less weight and bulk to have out. - my hands cannot lift too much weight these days.
Thank you again for sharing about our favourite supplies. 🙏🏽🫶🏽🥰 Varsha.

Thank you Varsha for your lovely comment! Yeah, I do need to figure out a way to chronicle my illustrations. Maybe for the time being I could look into setting up a binder. That way I could combine traditional art and print outs.
And thank you for your recommendation of the Tim Holty scissors. I got myself a pair. They arrived today and so far they seem comfortable and a definite improvement over my old ones.

Hi Maike!😊 This was such an enjoyable video! I love listening to you talk about stationery and I usually learn something new too! Your delfonics pouch is so pretty and wow does it hold a lot! It’s such a shame those little scissors aren’t better for cutting, they’re so pretty! I wish I had a recommendation for good precise cutting scissors, I have one pair that was gifted to me so many years ago and the others I use aren’t necessarily that great but they do the job😅 I use the big Elmer’s glue stick and it works well for me, I have glue pens from stationery pal that work nice for precise gluing and I’ve heard really good things about scotch glue sticks but I haven’t used them myself. I hope you find some scissors and glue that fit your needs!☺️ I think a sticky pocket in your sticker book for Stickii (and other) sheets sounds like a great idea! I just spent some time today putting stickers in my reusable book and it was such a cozy activity! That’s so cool that a weeks fits in your pen pouch! Thank you so much, I had such a lovely time watching this video! I hope you’re enjoying a beautiful weekend!❤

Hope you are doing well!

I love your cat stickers, they are so CUTE! Btw the adhesive that I use is the Tombow permanent adhesive. It’s like a pen corrector but instead is glue and is powerfully hehe you just need a tiny bit and it works wonders.

Maike, you can order individual Mildliners from Jet Pens so you get only what you want. I don't know about Michaels or Hobby Lobby, but my local mom and pop craft store also carries them individually. Then you won't have a set with colors you don't use.
Love this pink pouch. I've been looking at these for years, maybe now I finally get one. Everything you have in it makes it look so cute!

There’s a store near me called pOpshelf that sells them individually, along with a lot of other highlighters, pens, w a bunch and markers. I don’t know how common they are but it is a chain.

    • @MaikeOatley
      @MaikeOatley  Месяц назад

Yeah, next time I'll definitely do the individual pens. I have noticed that I am quite succetible to buy something simply because of an appealing color combination. I encounter that with watercolors as well. I wanna buy a set with say 6 colors, even though I can easy mix them with my existing colors, simply because they look so cute together.

Never heard of that store before, seems fun though! The next one near me is about an hour away, so I might get a chance to pop in sometime.

Delfonics is my go to stationery bag.😍 My scissors for detail cutting is my Cutter Bee precision scissors from the 90s. My handles are peeling from use and age. Cutter Bee scissors are still available and are labeled as “same as original” but not sure if they are the same? The Tim Holtz tonic studio 5 inch scissors are on my wishlist. I prefer Fiskars brand and they go on sale sometimes at Hobby Lobby. A pocket for stickers 👍🏼 is such a good idea. Neat to learn that the regular Hobonichi weeks fits in the Galen leather pen pouch (it’s going on my wishlist). I’m surprised that Tombow hasn’t come out with minis, that would be awesome! I see some people using the Kokuyo Gloo glue stick but I haven’t tried it yet. I currently have the Coccoina glue stick, I like the almond scent but the glue seems melty and too soft sometimes. A lot of great stuff in this video. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏼

I ended up opting for the Tim Holtz scissors. So far they've been comfortable and a definite improvement to my old ones. Maybe we need to write Tombow and let them know that we'd be very interested in mini markers :) I've heard of the Coccoina glue stick, but never realized that they smell like almond, that sounds lovely!

That's the Pilot Custom Heritage 912. I have it in the soft medium fine. The soft means it has a bit of give in the nib, which I enjoy for drawing, but it's not a true flex nib. Let me know if you have more questions about it :)
