  • It was supposed to be a simple diag for a lean code. But when you get there the story has some other chapters to it. A P0201, P0203, P0205, P0207 and, oh yeah, it misfires too. Intermittent loss of power to left side fuel injectors, a slight hiccup in my diag procedure and positive diagnosis in the end.

Some days I just miss the old days of carburetor engines, simple and easy. Great vid and good to see a video come out from ya.

Thank You, Corey! Had the same problem with my wife’s 2016 Chevy Express 3500. Three different mechanics looked at it, changed catalytic converters and still wouldn’t run properly. I found your video, got the correct replacement part and took it to the shop for installation. I believe they were surprised when it actually worked. 😂
    Thanks Again.

    Excellent work Corey!!
Sometime the best thing to do is walk away and comeback to a vehicle later on. I constantly come up with a new test or new idea after I’ve given up for the day or moved on to another vehicle. Thanks for the info on Keith’s series going to check that out now.

If there is one thing I learned from smart guys is a successful diagnosis is having a solid and repeatable process. Stick to some basics and reaching out for help and research has become the normal because cars of today are so complicated. Great find Corey!

I liked it. Quick & dirty.. excellent find! We've all been there, but I like the happenstance of watching Perkins and getting that "aha!" moment. Don't think I've seen vids by you in a little while... so that's also a nice change. 😊🤗

This is an awesome video! I fixed three fleet trucks today after watching this and after doing all the normal maintenance item, injector, plugs, wires exhaust, and plenum gasket replacements! I did check the fuse but it showed good with test light as looking at it you cant see the fuse was getting hot. Thanks Again!!!

I have been trying to diagnose why my engine was sputtering. I have a 2013 Chevy Express 4500. I swapped out vacuum tubing. I changed the b2s2 O2 sensor. That took care of a bunch of codes, but I kept getting 0201, 0203, 0205, 0207 and a random other one. Watching the diagram about why all 4 were misfiring made sense. I knew all 4 didn't go bad at the same time. Well, the likely hood of that happening is slim. It had to be happening in the fuse box. I called the local chevy dealer and they had one in stock. Took 5 mins to swap out. So Far, no sputtering. RPMS are sitting strong at 700 at idle. It was jumping all over the place prior to swapping it out.

Your video just gave me the info i needed. Thank you. I found a discolored fuse, possibly getting hot. so replacing the fuse has corrected the misfire and open circuit status, but if it returns, will replace fuse box.

GM's wonderful engineering strikes again! Looks like they designed that one to be nearly impossible to repair, with those sandwiched circuit boards. Great find - thanks for sharing your diagnostic process, Corey!

Cory if the customer said give it a try would it be worth trying or just not worth it. Good video and find. First video I’ve seen exposing a problem of that nature in the fuse box. I’ve seen cracked solder joints but not in that location. Good video very clear photos. Hope all is good Artie ❤️

My 6.0 had that same intermitant fault.
My first guess was resistance at the injector control plug connection
I pulled the plug put a light coating of lithium grease on both male and female connectors.
    Problem solved ✌

good diagnosis... i bet this ended up having a bypass from the fuse that controls the even side to pins g2 n g3 to feed the offside...

New fuse box. Problem with the bypass, is that it will likely come back with a similar issue on another circuit. Hope all is well
