    We do a lot of reverse 45s which places this "problem area" in place of that drive side minor with the hook on the outside and shoe on the inside...and I experience the same scenario with THOSE, moreso than a normal driveside minor flap. So I'm thinking this idea will DEFINITELY be explored and I could see it doing the trick for SURE!!! THANKS SO MUCH for the share!!!!

    Typically with the smaller auto bottoms we have the bottom belt dipped below the roller. Then just set the finger on top of the roller and your good to go. Also doesn't hurt to just keep the belt dipped so your ready for the next make ready

    Well that’s different. I’ve solved this problem by moving the right rail almost too the edge of the carton. Just enough to hold it while it’s coming down, and closing the gap between the belts to almost nothing. It may stick up a little until it hits the final fold, but there is enough of the top belt on it to keep it from popping back open.

    • @Oakhart76

      that is certainly one way of doing it. Nice solution!

    I'm surprised you didnt have the tip of the U bar on the edge... thats the we we do our cartons. We also "do" cartons that are smaller than the spec of the expertfold

    • @Oakhart76
      @Oakhart76  Год назад

      its easier to put it where it fits with more room. and yeah, we do some smaller like you as well. smallest I've run were the exact size of a business card. they were tiny straight-line cartons that were printed to be business cards and that's what the sales department used... as business cards.

    i have a problem that when my machine is in the auto bottom section it wants drop into the folding carton i think its cause the auto bottom section is higher then the folding carton

    • @Oakhart76
      @Oakhart76  Год назад

      Get something with a straight edge like a level or the edge of a ruler and lay that edge on a lower belt frame with half of it on the crash lock section and half on the pre break section. If it doesn't sit flat on both sections, then your machine needs to be leveled. Look at the machine's feet, there should be a nut that you can turn that will adjust. But get your maintenance department involved first because some machines you have to pick up before you can adjust that. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself though...

    • @Oakhart76

      You can for sure, but this carton was twisting under the belt in the pre break section. You could also do it as it goes into the folding section if they're small enough.

      @@tigermate8852 There are 2 basic ways to run those. I don't have any videos of one running, but I have seen videos of them running on other youtubers videos... if you register one side of the carton coming out of the feed, then that is the side you will fold with the belt.
