I never know if anyone is gonna watch these videos or find them useful. BTW, there's a link in the description if you wanna see what ya boy has been up to. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
As a trainer for 37 years....hats off to you my friend...never be afraid of making ideas work. If you want to move to Miami i have a great home for your talent.
Just wanted to say that I really appreciated every video you uploaded. I’ve only been an operator for a year and a half and your videos have helped me grow so much and they’ve taught me to be creative in my make readies. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Thank you Oakhart!
I spent all day today trying to get a small glue flap to back fold. I am going to try this tomorrow. Im watching this video frame by frame. A video on back folding in general would be awesome if you are taking requests ☺️
depending on the structure of the carton, sometimes you can get away with running them backwards and turn the backfold into a header and use a finger. I've done that a few times, but just depends on what else you have to do to it. good luck!
Awesome content man, I always watch your videos after work, I am also an operator and your tips and tricks have helped me out a lot. Looking forward to more content 👍🏼
Nice! Just make sure that the finger is twisted 90 degrees to be oriented correctly and that its high enough over the carton to miss any glue. Otherwise you're gonna have a mess on your hands!
I'm currently working on a BOBST PCR 930 year 1971. Setting up for 4 corner box with lid has been challenging, especially when the machine uses a timed feeder. I would appreciate any videos that will be helpful
Yep, you got it! Since there was no way to hold the carton down on the outside, I used this method. It works well with difficult 4-corners that are weirdly shaped as well.
It's just a conveyor belt that brings the cartons to the hand packers. It's shown in most videos. It goes through the carton packer so the carton packer (auto-packer) doesn't have to be moved out of the way when a job is ran that requires hand packing.

Use to run similar cartons b4 I retired 7 years ago. What a pain in ***.
Haha yeah they can be. Did you notice the cartons under the ejector in the video? Trial and error...
Of course we are going to watch your videos. Love that you share your knowledge, as not everyone does. Really great idea btw!
I appreciate that!

I'm grateful for the compliment and glad these help! Hope you have a good day.
the finger chop to hold it down is a good idea i'll have to try it out too

The oldest one i operated was from the 90s. Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you!
The hook/finger on its side during the backfold, what is its purpose? To stop the carton lifting?
Probably... my operator had major issues with this style of fold... I wish he used that finger like this

interesting idea. I solve it differently
👍
very good idea. I'm waiting for more videos. Unfortunately, I cannot post videos
What its tha yellow belt after the autopacker
