can u help me, i have an Aorus AD27QD gaming 1440p monitor... 144hz.. so with the new update we all know 1440p is a thing now, my question is, does all games support 120hz?? coz I can only play 120hz in Fortnite, coz fortnite has 120hz... but games like Forbidden west, or ghost of tshushima, its still in 60 even on performance mode... so 120hz how on these games???
No, all games do not support 120fps. Some are still locked at 60. Some games depending on game mode...i.e. Destiny 2 if you want to run 120fps in crucible the system and display will output 1080-1440, but when you go back to pve/orbit it changes back to 4k 60fps
120hz on Consoles is entirely up to developers to choose for their games to be enabled , Technically PS5 and XBOX Series X have 120hz capability , is just certain selected games only have this feature available .

1440p is awesome....its noticeably better than 1080p, but it's not that far off from 4k....ESPECIALLY when running over 100fps. I prefer this mode...fps should take priority over resolution for PS5 imo.

People accuse people that whine about 30fps of being graphics snobs, but its the opposite. im a performance snob. 60fps should be the standard minimum for games. save 30fps for the cinematics. your resolution is set to Auto, you have to set it to 1440p, the test 1440p is just to see if your tv or monitor can display 1440p. It does not do it automatically.
False, if you have a 1440p monitor 27 size, in auto Ps5 will recognize it to that references, it's a native resolution of the screen, I have one do the test in auto and I have all the options for 1440p include 120hz.

Matter fact do everything you just did but when you go to video output information because your on automatic resolution it will say 3840x2160-120hz. If you take the console off off automatic but just turn on 1440p-120hz it will block out vrr

Finally. My PS5 look so good on my monitor now 👾 correct, total game changer. I’m about half way through last of us, I’m so stoked I got the update just in time. I can’t wait to replay the whole uncharted series after this

I don't see why you'd spend that money when you can go for a C2 or A90K which has proper OLED (Far more important than let's say going from 1440 to 4K) and still get high refresh rate? But I guess if space is the limiting factor I can't blame you. But you won't have real HDR and those gorgeous colours, but from a strictly gaming point of view I can kinda understand.
Quick resume on the PS5 is not like that box because on the Xbox you can start one game and you can go playing a next game and then come back and you will still be at the same spot you were

With a good SSD on a good 1440p monitor that has HDR and 120hz its a very nice step-up from 1080p. I loved my 1080p monitor and it still looks good. But 1440p is the sweet spot and a upgrade worth the price.

First of all. You didn't even put it on 1440p. You left it on automatic. If you put it on 1440p. You will see that you have to have VRR off.

Best version of Last of us is going to be the pc version a decent mid range GPU will be able to achieve 1440p at locked 120 fps..
This works because the ps5 is powerful enough to run a game two gens prior at 120 fps. I doubt they'll get current gen only games to run at 120 fps.
Last of us part 1 was remade for the ps5.

That’s not true, my monitor is 1440p 165hz and in games where 120hz is allowed, my PlayStation video settings read 1440 120hz.
