Aquaman, the King of Atlantis vs Namor, the Feathered Serpent God who is the more powerful ruler of the seas? I'm sure you all expected this video and i’m here to deliver. Now, you may be thinking “oh here we go, another MCU vs DCEU video where the MCU gets stomped, well you’re in for one of the most competitive match-ups in the MCU and DCEU rivalry. As always, I will be breaking down each character's strengths and weaknesses to determine who the more powerful combatant is and who would win in an epic, all out brawl. We will be discussing the MOVIE VERSIONS so we will not be referencing any comic book material unless that material is canon to the movies. We’re also going to be equalizing speed for this battle as the DCEU still consistently clears the speed of the MCU. Finally, and I know it’s going to upset many of you, but again we’re using the theatrical cut of to scale Aquaman. It’s the current canon in the universe unless something changes.

He's missing one key factor about Aquaman; he gets much stronger under water and faster too. That's why he was able to take on Steppenwolf much better underwater than he did on land.

One thing to note was Namors healing factor, when he was super damaged and about to die from unspecified causes, he quickly healed moments after he made the claim he needed water. Does water heal “Nah-More” ?

Its obvious that Nahmore is the native language pronunciation like how a French person says crossaint or an Italian says tagliatelle. The comic one is Namor, the MCU one is Nahmor. The english speaking people in the movie called him Namor because maybe they can't pronounce it the right way, which is fine, or maybe they just don't care enough to say it the right way cause he is threatening them. It's not that hard to understand and the only one being weird is you.

Namor's power level has been consistent over the years. Aquaman 's powers have been increased over the last 20-30 years.

He took on the entire Squadron Supreme by himself and most recently took on the Avengers by himself as well which had Ghost Rider, an amped Savage She Hulk, Thor, and Captain Marvel on the team
I think a lot of u guys missed the point of the first attack on wakanda he wanted to kill the queen not wipe the city off the map yet he gave them a choice join or be destroyed after his first goal
Namor's advantage is flight.
Not much of an advantage considering Aquaman can leap, and we saw him kill multiple Parademons….in the sky. And he has the Karathen and Trench, who can also survive on land. And it’s not cheating considering Aquaman can control them

Namor is one of Mavel's 1st characters ... but the 2 ( N & AM ) that I don't see them being a rip-off of each other - each is too unique aside from being kings of Atlantis and being from a water domain. The Inhuman 'Triton" isn't a copy of either character either.
That would be like saying Dr. Strange is a rip-off of Dr. Fate. Dr.Fate came 1st but the characters are different enough that they are unique.
There are plenty of instances where the copy-cat factor is in play between the 2 companies prominently : Black-Cat & Cat woman; Death-Stroke & Dead Pool; Wonder Woman & Wonder-man etc.

I think he's possibly trying to say that hulk is just physically stronger, not necessarily more powerful. For example, if thor & hulk had an arm wrestling match, hulk would win, but in a one on one fight, thor's lightning abilities & stormbreaker would help him win the fight.

I don't think that counts. By this reasoning, if Zack Snyder said that Aquaman would easily defeat Dr. Manhattan, should we just immediately accept it as a fact? Base it off of feats and accomplishments, not things said by the director in order to hype up the movie.

@Totally Unstoppable The guy who made the video is a dope. That's like saying Black Manta is Superman level because he could make Aquaman bleed. Well yeah because he had atlantian steel blades. That's the key. The right material is more affective. Namor breaking vibranium doesn't make him as strong as Thanos. Just means vibranium weaponry is superior against vibranium armor. It's like rock paper scissors. Just because Rock is better against scissors, which beats paper. So if you say "Rock must be the best since it beats the thing that beats paper" but that's just wrong. Different things are better against specific things than others.

You also ignore Namor scaling to Jabari wood. He one shotted Mbaku’s armor. Jabari wood is not only stated to be relative to Vibranium, it is also shown as well at the end of black panther one.

Here's the main edge, Aquamans massive Telepathic powers. Whether it be comics or film? Namor has no defense or protecting from this. Regardless of the Talocan lore change. As Aquamans telepathic powers aren't strictly limited to typical marine life.
I think his power increases in the sense of oxygen levels, as they said in the movie. That's why he started blacking out on land, he was suffering from hypoxia, or not enough O2 to his brain. Also he chose to fight instead of regenate his water supply even though he had time to fly up and lay the smack down on shuri. It's not that he's more powerful in the water, just that gets hindered the long he's out of water.
Also can we talk about how strong that glass was? Namor can cut through a vibranium ship, but not glass? Even vibranium glass would be weaker than metal... And he using a sharp point only cracked the glass...
I'd give this to Aquaman 6/10 times personally, based on actual feats in their films, and not based on statements by filmmakers. My head canon is what I see, not off screen remarks by some director.

He’s more powerful underwater but he doesn’t get a physical boost if that makes sense. He’s more powerful because he’s use to the environment and has telepathy to call upon allies (Sea Beast) not to mention he can control the environment
Not a fan of either character but the guy in the video seems to make a lot of assumptions in favor of Namor. Plus he didn't factor in speed which is a huge advantage for Aquaman. Seems like he just wanted to appease Marvel fans by nerfing Aquaman and giving Namor the win.
@@junsandiego3703 I definitely agree I feel like from what I’ve see on screen Aquaman is more stronger and more durable the only case for Namor seems to be relying on statements that he’s Thor/Hulk level from a director who hasn’t ever wrote either of the marvel characters he’s comparing Namor to.
Not to mention the Thanos scaling is a bit wonky.. Black Panther has a similar showing of taking down a vibranium ship in the first movie.. I doubt we’d say T’Challa is physically on par or superior to Thanos.

Namor wins because he has tiny wings on his feet. The man is like a killer hummingbird. It kind of makes them move like Namor is swimming in the air and in the water.
Another disadvantage aquaman has is he is less skilled when fighting in 360 degrees or when there’s no ground to stand on
During his first fight with orm he was evenly matching him while standing on the central platform but the fight soon tipped in orm’s favour once they left it as aquaman has less experience in 360 degree combat
This would give namor a large advantage as he would have far more experience in 360 degree combat both in water and in the air as he would’ve had far longer to hone his skills, while the vast majority of aquaman’s combat training was on the beach in terrestrial combat
The main point of contention I have is Thanos' blade is made from the same material as Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. We saw in Avengers 1 that Thor could merely reverberate off Cap's Vibranium shield.
I think A.M stomps 🤔. Whilst Namor is older and more "experienced", A.M has more experince against more powerful opponents (from what we've seen).

BP director said in water Namor is comparable in strength to Thor/Hulk, Aquaman director said that Atlanteans I'm water are just as strong as Kryptonians on Earth. @KeyIssues, in the MCU and DCEU, your channel and @ComicBooksvsTheWorld proved in the past that Hulk's best feat was 25,000 tones of force; and Aquaman pushing up the submarine and displacing all the water in the way was a 500,000 tones of force feat? If both of your maths are correct, which they were the same for the Hulk punching vibranium feat, that would make Aquaman IN WATER to be (500000/25000)=20 times stronger IN WATER than Hulk is on Land. If Namor is the same strength as the Hulk while Namor is IN WATER, then Aquaman is 20 times stronger based on past videos and other RUclips sources, along with actual physics equations to back them up.

I think the armor is made with Atlantean steel, like the classic royal armor. While the trident is made from Poseidon steel and is a lot more powerful
MCU always loses because the characters are more balanced compared to overpowered characters in the DCEU.. Everytime Superman is in a DCEU movie, he is the SOLUTION everytime because the villains are just too strong and Superman is also way beyond every other characters' level. It makes every DCEU movie (where Superman is involved) look like a superman movie.
Can you really blame Superman for being the strongest? He has always been and always will be. That’s just the way he is. And Aquaman possesses one of the most powerful weapons in the DC universe, no one asked Namor to bring a vibranium spear 😏🗿🔱

The MCU isn't more balanced, the DCEU is just more accurate in their depiction and representation of their characters in relationship to their comic book counterparts.

Pre-watch impressions: Namor is stated to be on par with Thor and the Hulk by in-universe comments and Word of God. That puts him at about Country level at bare minimum. He can also fly and should have centuries of combat experience.
Momoa Man should be peers with Wonder Woman and Steppenwolf, which puts him in the City Level to Island level neighborhood. We should also take into consideration the fact that he can summon abominations from the depths that should at bare minimum scale to him in power.
Giving this one to Namor.
Edit: I had never heard about that Doomsday moon level feat. Obviously completely changes things.

I think Aquaman wins . Because he is one of the founding member of the Justice League , Aquaman is the strongest atlantian and Aquaman is the king of Atlantis . In land Aquaman can stay and fight for a very long period of time . Aquaman's weapons are very superior and as a king , Aquaman is a expert combatant . Aquaman can lift submarines and tall buildings .
By the way, when are you going to use the Zack Snyder cut versions of all our heroes when it comes to power scaling? Because they did a lot more than in the Josh Weeden version.
Aquaman is by far more powerful than Namor. Àquaman controls the ocean and animals under the ocean. He posess the Trident the most powerful weapons in creation.. Secondly is superhuman strength Aquaman is clearly stronger. Durability. His Durability stays the same whether is on land or water. Namur or Sub Mariner read is comic loses his powers the longer he is out of water. Aquaman can live on land where Sub Mariner life depends on water
i’m sorry bro but i really can’t take director statements to face value when his onscreen feats don’t depict anything close to what’s being said. on the other hand aquaman has shown solid results of strength, speed, durability and abilities, he wins in my books (which is onscreen feats with no contradictions) 8/10

I think if you factor in the speed for aquaman that he takes the majority even with the potential power of namor. Basing off the power that we did see though I think this is an easy stomp for Arthur for now anyway especially with the speed advantage not being nullified.

You forgot to say that the only reason Namor could cut through the vibranium ships is because his own staff is made of vibranium. If you add super strength so it's possible just like any other for people to cut through it. His strength really doesn't exceed Thanos. Thanos would destroy those ships just the same with his blade.
Vibranium doesn’t counter vibranium. Thanos had a more powerful weapon (Uru) stated by the Russos.

Black Panthers claws didn't cut through Captain America's shield just scratched the paint and he's super human even with that being said he still would need to generate enough power to cut through vibranium so easily. Vibranium doesn't cut through vibranium just because it's vibranium

Good video. Idk if Khonshu could destroy a moon, he's of a metaphysical God than thor or Zeus but he is powerful. Thor is more powerful in Thor 4. He's in better physical shape, has the Odin force and he's got Zeus's thunderbolt. Hulk is iffy, he got healed from She Hulk blood but strength wise is hard to tell. That said I have methods of figuring out both. For Hulk's strength calc the force behind the terminal velocity go boom boulder throw feat from She Hulk ep1. For Thor, count the number of kids he imbued with the power of Thor in the movie, then multiply endgame Thor's strength or electric power or whatever stat by that number. Might want to compare that to Hela's strength as a way to check since the Odinforce which Thor has now is powerful enough to contain Hela and should be comparable in energy values.

In the sea the have super strenght, speed, endurance and durability. On the land they have super strenght and durability. They can communicate with sea life, they have powerful tridants that can shoot magical energy blasts, they get week if they are long time out of sea water, they think like kings. Namour can fly, Aquaman can water bend. Since they depend on sea water, water bending is more useful then flight. Aquaman > Namour.

The problem with Steppenwolf being moon level is that when Zack Snyder claimed he thought doomsday and broke the moon he was talking about his version not the canon version from the 2017 movie because the Snyder cut isn’t canon to the main DC EU timeline so that version of Steppenwolf that you used never accomplish that feat at least not in that universe but he was amped by the Mother boxes which would scale him higher to planetary

aquaman’s combat speed is hypersonic, namor’s isn’t and really the only good speed we see is his flight speed but it isn’t that fast compared to arthur’s
