I bought this machine ILIFE V5s Pro Robot Vacuum Cleaner after watching reviews like this & machine stopped working after two months. Customer care is not responding as well.
I second on this, bought ILIFE V5s Vacuum Cleaner last month & it started working intermittently, had a feel that it will be dead in next few weeks. As mentioned, customer care of ILife is useless & don’t respond.
Motherboard of ILIFE Vacuum Cleaner bought two months ago got corrupted. There is no customer care in ILife, when complained about motherboard damaged, they talk about charging, absolute waste.
Looking at positive feedback on youtube, bought this ILIFE V5s Robot Vacuum Cleaner this year & it stopped working in less than 6 months with no response from seller on warranty & repair.
This product ILIFE V5s Vacuum Cleaner is completely crap & did not survive for even 2 months , not sure how come so many positive reviews are there on RUclips, it seems Ilife is trying to mislead & using fake reviews to sell their crap product.

question on the V5 model, which I just purchased... First, it says charging base should be against a wall and ideally have 4' of open space on both sides, and 8' free space in front. I live in small apartment and have no such amount of open space against my walls...only closer to the center of my living room floor is there open space. All my wall space is generally filled with furniture. Why does the charge base need that much free space? What if the only place I can put the base has say 1' free space on each side...will that work? And must the base be against a WALL, or simply a SOLID HARD surface? In other words, I keep a folding table against the wall behind my couch. Could I put the base against that table which is leaning against my wall?It also says to 'remove electronic cords' from the floor before cleaning. Do they mean ALL electronic cords or simply cords that may be running across a floor in the middle of the room? Obviously I'm not going to unplug and lift from the floor, my WiFi cords, my floor lamps cords, etc. What about small cat toys on the floor? Will the robot recognize them as 'obstructions' and go around them or might the robot try to suck up the toys (i.e, small soft balls, a small soft 'boomerang', etc.)Thanks!
It isn't a requirement but a "best practice". You don't need 4 feet of open space on each side per se . In one of our rooms I placed the dock in an area with less than a foot of space on both sides and the robot functioned okay and was able to dock on most instances. But you will have to leave some space in front of the dock so the robot doesn't get "trapped". The docks emits an IR signal so the robot won't go near it unless it's going back to recharge so leaving some open space in front of the dock is a must. It doesn't have to be placed against a wall but it would be nice if you did. RE: Do they mean ALL electronic cords or simply cords that may be running across a floor in the middle of the room? Obviously I'm not going to unplug and lift from the floor, my WiFi cords, my floor lamps cords, etc. What about small cat toys on the floor? The reason why you need to remove cords is that the side brushes will get tangled against it. You could tidy it up and bundle all the cords up using a zip tie so it's not hanging loose. As for toys, again the "best practice" would be removing them off the floor. Especially small toys like lego. If it's big stuff like dolls, the robot will just go around it or push it if its light enough. The robot can to go over obstacles over around 1.5" to 2" tall so use that as a benchmark.
If your home has only bare floor I'd go with the v5, it's cheaper and has the wet mopping option. But if it has some carpet I'd go with the V7. Better yet the A4 if you don't need the mopping.
Shit The Great Yes you can do that. In fact that's the best approach. You can also start with a damp mop and add less water just enough to keep the mop moist

Yes.
So many "and"....
How is this v5 performing now
I'll probably do a new series on ILIFE soon. Stand by for that :)
which is better the v7 or the v5

Gadgets and Gears can i combine water tank with some mopping liquid? Thanks
