Thank you for your lovely video about my city. I was born there in 1966. It's a beautiful historic city with a great history of the past. From the time of the Franks, it was even, one could say, a little the first capital of Europe under the reign of Clovis, considered by France as the 1st king of France whose Childéric 1st, his father, was king of the Franks and lived in Tournai. His tomb was found there in the 16th century. The magnificent cathedral of Tournai (which I even prefer to Notre-Dame de Paris) is also very old (1200-1300) and in the past there were 3 ramparts around the city of which only a few bastions remain and the Pont des Holes. The cathedral has been restored to this day, it is more beautiful than ever. The belfry is also very old and there are still plenty of other old buildings such as the Halle aux Draps on the Grand-Place. On the boulevards, there is also a place where you can visit old underground passages from the Vauban era, they have also been restored. Tournai once had a gigantic underground network. We also have very nice museums to visit. Many old churches dot our town, my favorite is the Saint-Piat church. Not far from the city, we also have the Mont Saint-Aubert which gives a superb panoramic view of our city. I love my city, it's good to live there. Treat yourself and come visit it if the heart tells you one day. She is worth it. Be well. Yodarima ;)

Note: the Bridge of Holes has also just been restored, the arches have been changed to allow the passage of large boats.
