Bet they got the most money out of that corn there gonna get this year! You know you and I could live off the insurance premiums they have to pay on that thing! Lol keep up the good work Richard!
Do that with our 450Ton every so often. Boom down for uphill and boom up for down-hill. We've done some interesting maneuvers with 200+ feet of boom and even the luffer in the air.
Looks like a good corn crop in your area. We are located in NW Iowa. The corn is shutting down prematurely because of drought. Saw some beans combined on sandy soils allready. Corn on lighter soils is pretty much dead. I guess it's our turn.
Love installing wind turbines that is the crain for the job we used an old manatwak 250 whith a carage of weights behind it we should of had one of thease are prop had mabe 2' from block to jib pully it did it 140,000 is what are prop weighed
Have they begun to dismantle the other 500Ton Liebherr that turned over in your sons field? if not , will you be recording a video of it when they begin the tear down of it? Glad you got a video of them walking this one off the job site to where they will dismantle this big beast.
The number in the classification does not always mean exactly the tonnage, don't forget that Liebherr is European so you may have to account for the difference between tons and Tonnes
If there were no stupid wind farms there would not be a lot of these problems for a short term measure and that is all wind farms are a very short term measure
Wind towers don’t make the money. The fed government subsidizes them through tax breaks for the wealthy investors. The current fed development incentives run out soon which is why the rush to get these tax havens up as fast as they can. Let’s hope the county has an escrow requirement to cover the cost of dismantling these things when they’re used up. Otherwise they can be a huge future burden for the local taxpayers.
mrlithium How is it better than fracking? They use water & sand to fracture the shale to release the oil & natural gas. Did you watch a documentary on it produced by Saudi Arabia? Fracking has made us energy independent.
I can't see the savings vs. risk. Drop the boom on a lowboy and drop the counterweight then walk the rig. Our damn tax money subsidizes the windmills anyway
Yeah have you ever seen the green new deal burn so much fossil fuel in your life. Those wind mills have a 20 year life span only. The money and fossil fuels it cost to put them up and maintain them they will never get close to the break even point. People think when they see them driving down the road, look there's free energy.
Doug Stubbs why does it need music? Is it because you don't want to hear the machinery. The machinery is the music you fool. So next time you play some music that you love turn the volume to zero and listen .Is that not so much better. Now
Burn coal, forget wind power. If wind weren’t Federally subsidized no one in the world could afford it. And what did it do to your cornfield just to gain access!
Wish they would outlaw these things.... they're about useless for producing energy and totally destroy otherwise beautiful landscape and views... and as some have found out, when they decide to shut them down for whatever reason.... they're Not real "enthusiastic" about coming and removing those "eye sores" anytime soon and restoring your land.... if ever!
Tell me again how "wind energy" is clean and free? At least there are high paying jobs for these guys, the equipment manufacturers and the equipment leasing companies.
Good day Yes this is a very costly outfit. Here in Ont. Liberials gave anybody who put solar panels .82/kilowatt hr. & sold it for .08/ hr. Mennonites who don't even vote put them up. Thanks
Steve Bell I’m not following every state or know of the Feds “funding” big oil. I do know that we, the people of Alaska, voted to offer tax credits to smaller drilling companies to explore for oil. That lasted 2 years and the next Governor, refused to pay or deduct the tax credits and most went bankrupt. Oil is the lifeblood of taxes and funding our bloated state government.
Would have thought it would have been quicker and cheaper to just drive across the road and re-tar any damage afterwards! ( unless any underground pipes or drains).
Funny because you said you and your son "seen" it fall... even after we called you both out on your bs. I even posted the email I sent the company on your video that you deleted...
Good day Richard. Interesting video. Maybe you son will have a good crop oof cranes next yr. LOL Thanks

Got question for you boss.
How much they pay monthly to put a wind mill on your property
Why’d the crane cross the road?
To get to the other side 🤪🤪🤪
Seriously though thanks for posting these videos!
Cheers
Doc
Why did the chewing gum cross the road?
because it was stuck to the chicken's foot.
Are they installing the wind farm or tearing it down, it doesn't look like any of them are turning?
I hope your boy gets some good compensation for all the damage to property and crops.
I heard that there was so much pressure on that corn, that it started popping. All they needed was some butter, and just like you got a show.

they are starting on it this week
@@oldfarmjunk101 Did they say if it will be a total loss, or will they be able to save it?
This can't be done in the fall when the farmers crop is harvested
Just makes sense they messed up the first time might as well wait now.
Nice thanks
They should have not left gaps in dunnage which made noise in tracks..
The compaction in the farm field will be there for decades.
Thanks for video! Why you did write that is "500 ton crane"? It is definitely LR 1600/2 - 600t capacity crane... Or maybe did you mean crane weight?
The number in the classification does not always mean exactly the tonnage, don't forget that Liebherr is European so you may have to account for the difference between tons and Tonnes
Great video
Was the same operator who road the other crane down runing this one
dont know
What is the operating cost?
Morning Richard, did they remove the Crane that fell over?
Thanks for the update 👍
Not yet
Kinda hard on the corn crop!
If there were no stupid wind farms there would not be a lot of these problems for a short term measure
and that is all wind farms are a very short term measure
When I can feel to operated the 500 ton crawler crane .. I'm really want to get a heavy job
Them towers must make lot of money seems like money is no object when building one.
Tax payer money

Please invest in a tripod.
Worry about it.
this is a hell of a lot of work all for some dang windmills. still better than fracking i guess.
mrlithium How is it better than fracking? They use water & sand to fracture the shale to release the oil & natural gas. Did you watch a documentary on it produced by Saudi Arabia? Fracking has made us energy independent.
In this film they didn't drive the crane with the whole boom as I see. That might have been the big difference with the crane that went down.
Never enough time to do it right but always time to do it over.
hfdzl..... there seems to be a Lot of people who work under that mentality, these days.
That’s worse than watching paint dry
Wow great job
Why is that idiot under the boom ahead of the machine ???
That HH is going to do sfa if something goes wrong.
the guy on the ground has to tell the driver whitch way to go
He is under the boom to get some shade
@@rogerm6069 ahhh, I see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and nails....
Bob that’s the only good reason o can think of
He’s wearing a hard hat.
Well sure helps that they dropped the boom
Interesting subject, just too much camera movement. hard to watch more than a minute.
I know, have to remember to hold the camera with two hands so I don't shake so much
Those don’t look like Tesla towers.
Did a 7 year old type this caption ?

@@oldfarmer4700 Germany has the cheapest electricity in Europe, due to windmills. They close down fossile end nuclear plants.
This hasn't to be done when you dismantle the crane completely. But it's much cheaper this way.
Need to put some dramatic and tense music on when the Big Girls a’walkin.

Don, our politicians only “govern” on emotion not on practical, common sense!
Well, the wind itself is clean and free... but you gotta be able to harness it... 🤷♂️
OK now tell me again why we have needed to subsidize oil for ?...how long has it been now?....100 years?

Chance of sinking is too big.
Run the crane on the hard packed road!🤯
That much weight it, would do the same thing to the road. Then you really have a mess on your hands
Nice but just another symbol of our coal jobs being gone.
Moving .
arent you guys tired of them shoving these damm commercials down our throats
