I'm really happy to have found your channel! I would love to see it flourish, and I'm excited to check out the rest of the content. I myself have a long history of poor posture, causing many pathologies which seem all interconnected. It feels like I just "learned" to use my body wrong--mind-muscle disharmony--which I attribute to being so neurodivergent. I suffer dysphasia, as well as trouble projecting when I speak. I've been trying to unravel and fix my problems for 20 years. I'm way overdue for finding a specialist to help...

Thanks for making this and other videos with swallowing exercises. I had thyroid cancer that had spread to lymph nodes in my neck and 2 of my parathyroid glands. I had a total thyroidectomy and left neck dissection 3 years ago. After my surgery, I started getting choked while eating or drinking. The choking doesn't happen every time I eat or drink; it happens randomly, so there's no way to really be evaluated. I will practice these exercises and others from your videos so hopefully I won't get choked as often. Thanks again!

Great video. I'm an inhome care provider for a 73yo woman who had a cervical neck fusion who has had some difficulty swallowing. Your tips have helped her a lot.

Hi Kasondra!!! Update on my mom!. Let me just say Lord I thank you. My mom is doing the first two exercises combined. So we look at the “weak elbow” which is her right side. She’s had trouble swallowing and a lot of excessive drooling. She usually reach for her towel to wipe it away.
Now we are developing a new habit for her drooling using this exercise. We have been doing this and let me just say she is developing a stronger swallow and is getting more confident in her ability to do so. This is safe and it works and I just thank you so much for sharing and educating caregivers like myself. Please keep going. We appreciate you so much. It’s truly life changing. 🤍✨🫶🥰

Hi Paru! There is no one size fits all answer for this. I would recommend speaking with your medical provider regarding your specific condition and timeline with eating if you are worried about your swallowing.
Not sure if you already saw this video which has good research for post stroke swallowing exercise: ruclips.net/video/OktGeei87Oo/видео.html
Blessings to you in your recovery

I'm so sorry to hear about these difficulties. I can't make any person specific comments or recommendations legally. So I am glad to hear that you've worked with a speech therapist. You may want to work with a speech therapist who specializes in swallowing if you have not already- voice and swallowing clinics are a good place to look.
