Pastured Poultry Production in Haiti

- Learn about all that goes into the production of the chickens at the NRH Farm. Our chickens are NOT produced in confinement barns, they are grown on the beautiful pastures on our farm and other farms near us. They are fed using locally grown grains, and hopefully soon locally produced soy bean meal.
New Roots Haiti uses this farm as a way to provide sustainable, dignified jobs to people in our community. Through this we are also providing some great food to families in Cap Haitien area, and in Chiron, the small community we work in. We are also building and revitalizing soil!

Commodity farming of soy and corn must increase for there to be enough to support the farmers. Most of the fields and farmers nearby us are dedicated to sugar cane farming.
