I didn't catch it if you mentioned it, but I noticed vendors ending in "The Collector" are the only ones who sometimes sell them. So rather than checking all, I just check those on each town when I'm looking.
i do it the other way, i collect every white item i find, and leave yellows on the ground, and convert the white into yellow stuff. You get alooot more white material out of white items, like 150~200 for one inventory. Works for me at least
Thank you for this. I feel like I'm on an island when I see this tip being shared. Like, who the hell has that many Veiled Crystals but no Parts/Dust??? I ALWAYS convert White/Blue mats into Yellow. I run out of Yellow so fast compared to the other two, I don't see how anyone ever gets to the point where they need to convert yellow into blue/white.
@@Ughlee502 i think if you farm many GR then you only get yellow and never blue or white items
@@Ughlee502 people that use bots always have a low stock of white materials and an almost infinite supply of yellow ones, the tip of this video is for them.
I actually did the math... picking up yellow items from the ground is not worth the mouse click. My mouse button has a lifespan of 3 million clicks according to the manufacturer and the mouse itself cost like 70 US Dollars. So 70 Dollars divided by 3 million clicks is 0,000023 Dollars per click. In my opinion, it's too expensive for a yellow item.

Maybe im too high rn and dont get the video but. How is this beneficial? Dont you gotta use 100 blue or yellow materials to convert the white item into 100 reusable? Maybe im too stoned ..🤷♂️

go to battlefields of eternity, you'll have a inventory full of white items in less than 2min
Abandoned camp for me. Hit all the weapons racks and chest. Rinse and repeat. Just port to battlefield of eternity take the nearby portal to abandoned camp. Takes less than two minutes and you get 6-10 salvageable whites. Just watch out for bombers on higher torment levels. They actually hurt quite a bit.
The only material I run out would be yellow

Dropped/weapon rack/armor rack white items can give up to 30 parts... where as yellows give 1... I see people all the time ignoring or even dropping white items before they scrap, it blows my mind. PRIORITIZE white drops and you won’t have material issues because you can convert to yellows when you’re out

@@Cyberaser It's not stupid, it's a common problem depending on how you play the game. Do you race through rifts and only pick up the rift boss loot? Do you play different classes and builds? Did you get lucky with your rerolls and upgrades? Wudijo is "always" short on whites. I'd imagine casual players run out of yellows a lot more often.
It's the other way around for me. I use my whites to convert them into yellows :D
I'm always having over 6k whites and blues but I'm out of yellows most of the time
A lot of Leg enchant reroll a stat are 15 yellow, 5 white 5 blue 1 soul. Really not sure why it's 15
@@ZoeBios121 Most likely because you gain yellow items in much larger amounts and more frequently than white and blues. So, it evens out.
it really depends on how much you focus on only one char at a time with like only one gear setup. Ive had this for several seasons where i played multiple roles. But in this season im generally playing only with GoD dps dh and reroll only really useful items. Ive ended up not picking anything in rifts except the riftguard or if its really no waste of time and have no like 20k yellows and only 10k of blues/whites. Still a solid number since you need much more yellows for rerolling. But if i was to upgrade rares in the cube i already needed to do what wudi showcased here. First time for me, that its this way around :)
@@flo5865 - Like I mentioned in another comment, picking up white items is way more efficient. Whenever I am doing rifts for keys, I spend an extra minute if the rift is one with a lot of the armor and weapons racks. I can get 1000+ white mats in 10-15 minutes, whereas it takes hours to farm that number in yellow items.
Scrapping white items from drops can give 20-30 parts.... then you can turn 100 parts into 100 yellow. PRIORITIZE picking up white items you donkeys

It's way better than running around like a crackhead smacking all the weapon and armor stands in a normal rift

and maybe you should mention that white mats ,when you salvage them, brings a lot more than yellow and blues, so pick up whites in a grift

I have been cheap. I make a level 1 char, steal the white items from the 3 followers, and remake new char.
That sounds like it takes a long time.
I always go to a dungeon alike place and grap a few from the weapon racks.
Plenty of those in ACT-1
@@TA-uj7ez thats way less efficient than this, all those thigns you collect can be salvaged. It also takes far longer
@@zily7866 - Yes, they can be salvaged, which is why people like us have never had to convert materials to white materials. I can literally farm 1000+ white materials in 10-15 minutes while it takes me hours and hours to farm yellows. I have way more white items than I would ever need by themselves, I use them to convert to yellow items.

This is backwards I can't ever recommend doing this except for a very short term fix. The recipe converts 1:1. When you salvage a yellow you only get 1 yellow mat. When you salvage a blue you get a few more. When you salvage white item you get the most amount of raw material. White items are more valuable to pick up and salvage and you get a ton from bounties. Also the game has you burning yellow mats and blue far more than reusable parts. Convert reusable parts up to blue or yellow, try to loot white items for salvage. End up with vastly more mats. Don't do this method in video it is backwards
Also yellow and blue mats for converting purposes are also purchaseable from the NPCs.
Here I thought you were gonna say you could salvage all those whites. I'm always converting whites to veiled crystals not the other way around haha

u cant not salvage items from vendors, u only can conver them via cube 1:1 so this is pretty useless because u need reusable parts more than anything to conver for veiled crystals or arcane dust, withe items when salvaged gives 10 parts but yellows only 1
Constantly running out of white materials as white items rarely drop on my level, and when I do find them in chests I by accident salvage all and lose them. Thank you for this!

@@SpaghettiNoob since whites are so scarce, and yellows are so abundant, yes. You get more materials by converting them. Its helped me in tight spots

well, i didn't knew there were actually white items for sale on Lvl 70 chars, i always thought you'd need to buy them with a lvl1 char.

Have a NVMe ssd, don't be lazy to farm T16 maps that have a lot of armory racks. You only run out of souls that way.
I tend to always pick up white & blue items in rifts and leaving yellows on the floor and convert the other way around
that's the right way of doing it anyway :)
Im always out of white mats for some reason. Yellows are easy to come by when you are pushing lower lvl rifts and bounties

Just want to point out that they made vender items salvageable some time ago. This method doesnt work anymore.
I don't think you're trolling or anything but this is not accurate. I just bougth white belts from a vendor in Act 2 (the fat guy in the upper left corner) and used them to convert from my exceeding yellows / blues. The only catch is it took me a few game remakes to find a vendor with whites. Also items purchased from vendors are not salvageble so you can only use them to convert from other materials.
Some guy in my old clan got ultra mad at me for closing a battlefields NR because he was going around collecting the white mats. 😂 Wish this video had been around then.
There is an easy but time consuming way to get free white items you can destroy at anvil. Make new character, switch to adventure mode, take whites from companions, disenchant - you will get about 34-38 parts. Repeat. Then you can convert them into any other parts you need
while it's free it sounds extremely slow and tedious ^^
Have converted 100k+ blues/yellows over the years, need to do a rift marathon to get those mats back up lol

Cube Converter works so well for this, but I recommend re-binding the ‘j’ there to something else!
Seems like you've been doing it wrong from the start if you need to do this to get white materials. White and blue items are always more space efficient to loot, salvage and convert to yellow if ever needed. The exception is yellow weapons to upgrade in the cube so that you don't have to craft them first.
you say that likes theres a great opportunity to actually farm white materials lmao. If you just grind GR's all day you dont get white mats. Then on the rare occasion you do a normal GR for keys you always see wudi stop and breakdown the weapon racks for white drops
Thats what wudi is Saying. You normally Focus on speed grs . So ofc you take all the blue and whites from rifts. At the end of the day you do way more grs and so you end up having more yellows than other mats.
You can't just decide to grind GR's all day without farming keys and when you farm keys you can choose how much time you want to spend on looting materials. All I know is that the way I farm my keys I always get a surplus of white which I convert to yellow.
seriously you didnt know this? :O There is a vendor in act V - survivors enclave called delilah the collector, just below the cube and she always has at least 1 white item. (on rare occasions she doesnt have :))
I restarted 15 times to get it . Either you are lucky or I am unlucky

So she always has it except when she doesn't.

You know you can stack gifts in stash, right?
you can only do that if they were aquired with the same people. For example you can't stack a gift that you got while playing with a friend with a stack that you got during solo play. You have to wait for the timer to run down. It is kinda silly but that's the way it is.
@@Illyczka Ah yes, of course. However, I noticed he had 10-ish separate gifts in the stash. Seems like a waste of stash-space to me. :)
@@paalvk On the other hand, taking the time to stack up your gifts is kinda pointless too unless you're running out of space. Especially because you can pull out single gifts with one click if you have single stacks and need to use shift-click to split a stack if you piled them up.
I have no idea what you are doing here. You click an insane amount of times and put stash tabs full of stuff. Why? And when you're at the cube you speedrush through it. Please explain what you're doing for us who don't yet understand, that's your target audience. Thanks

The town before for act 2 boss (butterfly woman) drops lots of whites in the breakable objects a few runs there and you're good for crafting

Saw a post about botting. Botting is the reason I stopped playing SC despite the DC issue I have occasionally. It makes the game dull but makes people uncompetitive not doing it.

The easiest way to get grey items from a vendor is to make a lvl 1, they usually have about 50% chance to get it, i have a character named GreyItems, which i use for that only thing :)

You buy the white items to convert them in the cube...
Buy the white items, go to the cube, look for the one that says "CONVERT ANCIENT DUST" (Arcane Dust is obtained by salvaging magic items) or "CONVERT VAILED CRYSTALS" (obtain by salvaging rares) you will get:
100 REUSABLE PARTS for every x1 Death Breath + x100 Arcane Dust/Vailed Crystal.
I do that whenever I want to upgrade Rares to Legendaries.

Sounds like a player who is whining about the game. The intricate knowledge comes from builds you make to push to GR 150 and skill comes from playing hardcore mode and leading the top of leaderboard aka not dying. D2 regarding "Known good items" Is just another way of saying how to cheese the game with broken shit, aka no skill.
