You've put together an excellent group of books here, Ellen - and such interesting topics and perspectives. Looking forward to watching more TBRs from people doing this readathon!
I find the world of the brain fascinating - all that it controls and influences, as well as the many variations and disorders possible. My 21yo daughter has a chronic neurological disorder (NF1) that allows tumors to grow uninhibited along nerves throughout the body. For more than 8 years, she dealt with a resulting brain tumor (an optic glioma), so we studied the brain a lot together. Thankfully, that tumor is stable now. 😊
Anyway, thank you again for sharing all these books. ❤ Also, your video led me to find another great BookTube channel - Curious-Cat!

@@WildHeartsandWildflowers Hi Kim! Thank you so much 😊 I find the brain and psychology and all of that fascinating too, it’s mind boggling to me that it even works at all!
I’m sorry to hear about your daughter, that must be hard for the both of you. Glad to hear there’s some stability though, and I hope for the best for her! It sounds like you are focusing on the good, that’s powerful too.
Cat did such a good job putting this readathon together and I love her channel and her as a person, so it makes me happy to hear you found her channel through this too! She’s great!

Wow, this is fantastic! Such great recs in there! They must go in the Neurovember doc!!! I’m traveling without my personal laptop right now but will see if I manage to do that from my phone at some point. Thanks so much for putting this video together - I’m so glad Neurovember led you to those books, and then you could lead me (and others) to them too 💛💛💛

I'm so glad you like them! Absolutely put them in the doc if you like! It was a lot of fun to browse these topics and put the lists together. There are so many more, but had to draw the line somewhere! 😆 If nothing else, we'll have a good starting point for next year!
I hope you enjoy your travels! 💜😊

@@books_and_bocadillos Thank you! That means a lot. That’s how I felt too, and I really hope to get to them at some point! Heart Berries sounded like a heavy but insightful read, so I think it requires good timing.

Have you read a kind of spark? That has neurodivergence representation and it’s middle grade! It’s about an autistic girl who’s in to the Salem witch trials! It’s amazing!

@@Readingindarknesss Hi Paola! Thank you for commenting, I just popped by your channel and subscribed. I haven’t read A kind of spark, but that sounds like a very interesting story, I’ll look it up! I was kind of emotionally scarred from a witch trial story earlier this year, so I might not have the courage for it right now, but I find the topic fascinating as much as it is horrifying. Maybe I could handle a middle grade book about it though, that sounds a bit more safe 😊 Thank you for watching, is what I would usually say, but thank you for listening I guess, and for the recommendation!
There’s another question for your q and a: do you ever feel excluded by the phrase “thank you for watching” or is it more weird of me to say “thanks for listening”? 😊

@ there’s a prequel called keedie! I really wanna read it but it’s not in braille or audio yet! So you can read it and then don’t tell me about it cause I’ll be jealous! Haha!

@ it came out April 4 so… been a while. Tempted to buy the paperback and scan it and convert it to braille myself! But that involves tearing out pages and I don’t like doing that! It’s sacrilegious!!

Chloe Hayden is one of my idols so I was so pleasantly surprised to see her here 😭🫶🏻 I've been itching to read her book for ages!
Thank you for all these recommendations, neuronovember fills my heart with such warmth as people learn more about neurodiversity in general or better understand their own neurodiversity! I'll definitely be adding a lot of these to my neverending tbr 🫡

Oh really, that’s so fun! I had never heard of her, but I saw snippets of interviews with her and her RUclips videos, she seems like such a sweetheart on a mission! 😄
I agree, it’s such a good event, and there really are so many books relating to the topics. Understanding is a very good way to empathy and kindness, so I’m all for it. I’m so glad you found some interesting titles! And hopefully you can get to Chloe Hayden at some point too! 😊
