its so crazy that cash cash are big enough sonic fans to include such an obscure melody from a song like 10% of the people whove played sonic 3 probably even heard. makes me love that remix even MORE
When I was a kid I used to put Endless Mine on just to listen to the music. And I would get really, really emotional and I didn’t know why. I’ve never played Generations so this was my first time hearing City Escape. Tell me why I immediately burst into tears? I’m 35 now, and I just remember the exact feeling of playing my Genesis when I was a kid. I love Sonic so much
Endless mine imo is one of those introspective songs. That makes you questions while most sonic songs are just about jamming out to a tune. Doesn't make it better or worst than others but does make it stand out. Just my 2 cents.
When I first heard the Endless Mine segment in Classic City Escape, I really, REALLY hoped that the intro of Classic Crisis City would basically be the intro of Metallic Madness “B” Mix from the JP/EU version of Sonic CD just to add to the amount of fanservice Generations was giving.
Oh i knew this immediately. I also know they used the Hydrocity sample in Sonic Superstars as well. Twinkle Park is a Sonic 3D blast remade track Theres a track in Sonic Adventure that they took that whistle forest sample as composed jungle joyride later on in Sonic Unleashed. Theres alot of these actually
I've started playing sonic 3 and knuckles this year, and i have played sonic generations years ago. Sometimes my brain keeps telling me that city escape came before endless mine
Sorry to be a wet blanket but I think endless mine and city escape don't have a connection to each other and their similarities are just coincidental. I can see why people think they would but I don't think of city escape when I hear the endless mine song, I just think of...well...endless mine.
It's not modern, it's classic
I live in your walls.
But thank you for the clarification.

They also made "You can do anything" fit into a part of the Sonic Mania special stages (catch the UFO) song.
sonic mania released in 2017

Wow, I'm learning new things about this game even after all these years. Sonic Generations truly is a gem

They also use the rhythm in Sonic Mania’s flying battery act 2 at 0:57
Endless mine's rhythmic motif is used almost every sonic game actually, from city escape to sonic mania.
@@crakaweazol It’s everywhere

Idk if it's the melody too, but that Genesis synth lead is so beautiful in Endless Mine.

City Escape is from Sonic Adventure 2, the version in Generations is just a remix
Idek why endless mines feels so sad either
