- This was my first time at the Sunbury antiques market at kempton racecourse! I brought along my cousin ollie and little Alfie. We mostly just looked around, my recommendation is definitely get there as early as you can, I’d say 10.30 at the very very latest.
Also it’s worth having an idea in your mind of what you are looking for since it can be so overwhelming! I’ll definitely be going back again when the weather is a bit warmer.

I would not have seen even half of it before closing. This is Heaven!
I completely agree!!!
Love all the brass and copper!
Me too! 🤩
Beautiful things! I would love to go to this!❤
I highly recommend! It’s so huge, so much to see
That was fascinating 👍🏼💐
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 💕
Thanks for the effort, not rushed and plenty time to see things, new sub here and shall catch up on your videos.
Cheers
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
The thing in 01:27 is a chakki table, used to grind grains into flour and it's common in India. Pharaoh serpent can turn into, well, a serpent like substance when heated. It's made from mercury and highly toxic, to the point that the kids who played with that and accidentally ate it would die
Wow that’s fascinating thanks for sharing!!
Everything thing is outstanding my my my
It’s beautiful isn’t it!
OMG this doll house.
Isn’t it fabulous!
Those that may have suggested with little idea of what Kempton is about that its poor or who may have believed that it is lacking in quality or even antiquey’ I find find laughable. This is a very edited snapshot focused on lots of repro. The reason its empty of people as this is shot just before closing. People have left or are packing up. Its packed at 6.30am when it opens to supply the antiques trade of London with items to resell. It is the number one place to source in the south of England but the best items that day sold well before this was filmed. If you don't want to pay entry then get there for 8am when it becomes free, any later & you may as well go to Portabello to see what they others have bought before you.
I definitely want to go earlier next time to see all the good stuff before it sells!
Mostly repro stuff?
I was a little late, I think the best stuff goes really quickly
Great video! ☆ Jesimiel Millar
Thank you! 😊
If phoebe does everything, why hasn't my washing up been done? Hilarity aside, good to see the next gen still having a interest in antiques. I have always had a interest and only when I spread my wings and flew further afield did I start to realise the amazing potential of fairs for decoration. You can easily mix old with new if you open your mind. I have hairdresser white carpet which looks amazing with dark wood furniture, rosewood of course. Chuck in some mid century glass a eames Armchair and a few oddities and it's job done. I can't think of anything worse than a sterile dunelm showroom for a home. Its despicable. I walk into into a house and see those quotes signs like " mother is another name for love" and I get the ick , tell your mother you love her , u don't need to advertise it on a £2 wall hanging. Surely spending only £2 on your mother tells her you don't love her l😆 .
Oh . Those spirit levels are fantastic , they have never been made better quality and never will be. It doesn't matter if the shelf you put up is at a 45 degree angle as long as you did it in style with your new antique level .
I totally get what you mean! I like things that are treasures collected over time rather than mass provided in China last week 😬
I’m thinking of going back to this antiques market soon to look for lights!
Bukti bahwa pangkal kebudayaan mereka di Jawa adalah dari ketiga barang antik mereka yaitu Tenong penyimpanan makanan ,gentong gerabah penyimpanan beras dan dongkrak kayu
Thanks for the info!
@@phoebedoeseverything welcome, ever heard Java?
@@santososantos7819 of course :)
It is Surrey, not London
You are correct!
I was about to say that lol...
Prices were high
I have no idea about usual prices so it’s good to know!

Not impressed by the quality of a lot of the stuff shown. A lot of it looks about 3 weeks old, passed off as vintage - or aggressively stripped and distressed, to try to make it look ‘antiquey’. One or two nice chairs but not really impressed. Btw, lots of ‘antique’ spirit levels on Ebay at around £10-15.
I really appreciate this info, as I’m definitely not an expert. Thank you!
its worth paying to get in early. they're pretty mich picked for good stuff first few hours
Wow, I assume you have never been to Kempton or you would not being making that laughable comment about lack of quality.
@@seana2646 I’m looking at a lot of the stuff shown in the video, and noting how it’s been ‘treated’ to look old or distressed: that’s just factual observation. I’m sure there’s some interesting and good stuff out there as well, but if you have any kind of experience, you’ll know that there’s a lot of things which are not what they claim.
boring
😂
what a load of tut. I dont think there is anything I would buy
😂
