Nice video. One thing - the alcohols that can be bought on the link you provided are Isopropyl alcohol, and denatured ethyl alcohol. These are both poisons. In the US, grain alcohol (ethyl) is only available from bonded suppliers. It is taxed as all consumable alcohols are. 90% is available. 95% Everclear is a good choice.

I've been thinking a LOT about these rules we impose on ourselves or allow people to impose on us. It dawned on me when I bought a new candle and said "Oh, can't burn this one until I finish this one up" and then just as quickly thought "Wait! Why can't I? It's my money, my candles and my home!" Also, let's all lay off on the unsolicited "advice" directed at strangers. No one likes it 😁

As a german: Your tree looks beautiful! What a stunner! We do have 3 types of Lametta. Originally, it was straight, silver lametta. It hangs beautiful, as it was made with lead and has some weight to it! (There are many stories of families adding Lametta and putting it down, ironing! the strands and storing them away!). Then came "Ice Lametta" which is also silver, but crinkled. It gives a more dazzling look as it mimics ice. The third version is modern day plastic lametta. It's straight or wavy, thick or thin, comes in all colours, very light, can't be ironed, so flimsy it's mostly used only once. The last german Lametta factory unfortunately closed a few years ago. The saying from a well known comedy show "Früher war mehr Lametta!/ Back in the days there was more Lametta!" is now a synonym for "everything was better in the olden times", referring to more use of Lametta until the 80s, 90s...

Great advice we have just ripped up all our tile floor in the whole house put in a totally different kitchen to what we had ( 23 yrs old ) she need a little Botox lol , putting floating floors down & the list goes on my advice is just focus on your gut to what you really love & you will create the home you are really looking for, sometimes it’s so overwhelming with colours to choose , furniture, lighting etc I know you will get there in time just breathe lol your sister is a godsend looking forward to see how it all turns out best of luck 🤞

I've had a lot of Challenges over the last several years - starting with stage 4 head & neck Cancer, major surgery cut up my mouth, the matastised to my neck & 2nd major surgery Sep 11 2006 they slit my throat. Anyways, I've been suffering from major depression. A few weeks ago I started watching crafting videos. My style is kinda modern farmhouse mixed with girly French country. So I wanted to try my hand at the jugs. I just found your channel about an hour ago! It's great - I like your let's just try this attitude - the foam sink qas a surprise, I didn't know u could shave the foam like that!! Ready to watch more! Cindy in California

First of all, Im loving your Aussie accent :D and this is the most non-Italian way of doing it, totally British/Aussie way I would say but if you like the taste, go for it, there is nothing wrong as long as you like :) Points are already raised by you, but I understand that Italian way takes time and more effort, so enjoy a quick limoncelloish drink :) I will give it a try as well, but with 50-55% alcohol gin, lets see what it will be like

I like the juxtaposition of the contemporary pieces with the antique pieces! It seems to compliment your home without making it look old and stuffy. Sometimes I get so carried away buying vintage things that I realize the space I am decorating suddenly starts looking “grandma”. Adding modern things along with the vintage keeps it fresh. You have a very unique creative design, with that grape mirror and the silver leaf decor. Those little white seats under your buffet console look like teeth and the consoleis the top lip. Once I saw that, I couldn't unsee it..😅sorry. Your sister is brilliant with the light shades. I love the chandelier, great choice. Everything looks fantastic!

I have to say that with all the cute furniture you have, I’m surprised that you’d choose that gray tile. It detracts from the warn nature of your home and decor. Have you thought to stain the tile to a warm color? I know that probably sounds ridiculous considering you just had the tile installed but it would bring life back to your home. The gray is so dead looking.

You could've made them with paper mache. Would've been way cheaper that way. Give the main structure with paper mache and then apply a thin coat of plaster over it. It would be way easier and cheaper and you can give whatever shape you want🥰

Always better with 96% alcohol and then mix, but vodka will do much cheaper especially if you’re in Australia. It’s more an imitation but close enough
