That's quite an impressive set. So much there, I'd almost want to JUST get the base game for fear of never touching the rest. But those minis... Wow!
At first I thought the minis were a bit extraneous, but there are creatures called 'guardians' that wander the land. And it's terrifying when those minis are on the cards and you're trying to avoid them!
Thank you for the video. Mine is on the way. I didnt back it but found an excalibur pledge new on ebay and just went ahead and bought it. Anxious to play it and hope to see you paint some of these minis soon. Thanks to you already painted my aliens game and it looks great. Tkx for all the content!

Metal coins are always worth getting. :)
I play solo, and my view is that any more than two players would make it unwieldy. A lot of the play is centred on combat and diplomacy, both of which take up c.80% of the gameplay. Having more than two players can make the combat/diplomacy slow and cumbersome with a lot of downtime for the non-active player(s).
I've played twice now with 2 players and really enjoyed it. I'm not a big solo gamer really and prefer to share the experience with someone. Two players seems perfect for me.
i play with 4 people, with my kids. i found the game to be incredibly fun with many players as well. we do play with story mode (easy mode) so that might have been speeding up things a bit for us.

If only, they just sell the miniatures alone.
