ASM 238 by John Romita Jr. & Sr Hobgoblin cover in high grade is a very pricey comic. Definitely a beloved and important Spider-Man villain. Ned Leeds later becomes the 3rd Hobgoblin and I’ve actually been hoping they eventually do this with Ned now that he and Peter’s history is completely gone for Ned after making everyone forget Peter in No Way Home. It would be gut wrenching and very powerful if done correctly. Also the rumor of Miles Morales being in Spider-Man 4 kinda bums me out. I was hoping they would wait for secret wars and bring him into the 616 like they did in Hickman run at the end as a survivor of an incursion from his universe who now lives in ours/ the 616.

You spent three some hours talking about those villains and maybe, "conveniently", omitting something crucial about any character, which is, POTENTIAL!! I know the MCU didn't have the right to their main characters, but they nonetheless pulled the maximum out of those, making B tear characters S++ characters. If those characters had, NO POTENTIAL AT ALL, the MCU wouldn't have been able to do what they did! Which brings me back to Kang. To me the potential of this character is limitless by his nature. He's got foresight of history, he is a time traveler, and maybe the biggest flex in his bag, he conquered not one, but multiple timelines! Kang is the type of character that are so powerful they have to somehow dumb them down, he's like the anti Dr Doom if you will, where Doom being a powerful character but nonetheless limited by his nature, so they OVER write him to make him bigger than what he should normally be, and Kang the opposite of that as I was saying earlier. You can't tell me that somebody like Kang did something on a Thanos level, maybe even higher, by conquering multiple timelines, and somehow looking "incompetent" on a goof level when facing "our" Avengers. Time Runs Out/Secret Wars was the perfect occasion to show case Kang as a being. But again, they went the root of over writing Doom to make him bigger than what he is.

Number 1 lesson from this is how stupid Feige was in taking so long to get to the X-men. It’s up there with LF rushing the sequel trilogy and WB mismanagement of DC.
Two things Josh. First thing, green goblin is really S Tier, not A. Second thing, I really liked Avatar the Last AirBender live action show.

Green Goblin is S Tier. Legacy and is enough to get him that. Every incarnation of Spiderman goes up against a version of the green goblin. He’s definitely iconic. Everyone knows who green goblin is. Also if you have Venom as S tier and based on what you talk about why he deserves to be S tier then goblin goes up there. Also Goblin has tormented Peter worse than Venom. He killed Gwen Stacy his girlfriend. His best friend became Green Goblin.
not to mention iron patriot, dark avengers, dark reign and siege. norman is peter’s greatest enemy. he is marvel’s joker and lex luthor.

3 episodes in and I really liked the Avatar show for what it is. Visual effects are on point and it doesn’t have the silliness of something like Kenobi - although it does breeze through some things.

Putting Kang under Hella, Bullseye, Mephisto, and FU-KING KNULL is insane to me. It’s clear he did that just to prove his point subjectively.
Actually I would go as far as say A tier Villains should be so recognizable that people outside of marvel comics fandom knows them just by their looks.
So that would be a very small A Tier List: Dr. Doom, Green Goblin, Magneto, Venom, Loki, Mephisto, Thanos, Red Skull (maybe), Doc Ock, Carnage, Mystique, Apocalypse (maybe), Super-Skrull (maybe) and Kingpin.
As much as I love Dormammu and Stryfe, their not A Tier either, (infact Stryfe might be C or D, even though I love him as a bad guy,) while Dormammu would be B Tier.
For Dune the first part and this second part is the first book. There is 6 books in total. I don't know if all the books are as strong As they go on but it gets crazy.
I read the books 30 years ago but I remember the odd number books being excellent and the even number books being a significant step down.

First Dune is like batman begins, undoubtedly a great movie just so boring to re watch. And then part 2 is the equivalent to the dark Knight a movie for the ages that builds on the first movie in every best way. Just so ur aware Dune is getting a MMO console and pc game called Dune awakening it's like survival mixed with faction wars u can build ur base and rise the ranks looks cool. Also a hbo max show called The sisterhood

Your metric for who’s a good villain is whether or not they were popular in the mcu? Thor comics suck and are boring as hell, and Loki is way different in the mcu than in comics. You act like Thor wasn’t an avenger because his book wasn’t selling. Avengers happened because all those characters and stories were lame and weren’t selling, so they compiled them all into a new book to save money. Green Goblin just how he impacts Peter Parker which is marvels most popular character, if not the most popular comic book character of all time.. not having him in S tier is crazy.. not to mention his impact throughout the marvel universe.. remember when he was the leader of the avengers. that’s like doing DC and putting Joker in B tier because against any other hero, joker gets his ass kicked.
