This video shows you how to install new reliable TRQ struts in your 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis. TRQ Struts are made to fit your vehicle exactly, just like the original part. I couldn't help but notice where you re-chamfered the lower strut bolt where you beat it flat hammering it out. That's a crucial bit of information. If that happens to someone attempting this, they'll never be able to get the nut started

great instructible. the bottom shock bolt was fiddly to get back in, otherwise, just time. about 4 hours for me, a somewhat suspension experienced shade tree mechanic. 77 years old.

118 ft lb for the caliper bolts? Are you sure? The Haynes manual says a lot less

Exactly what I needed to see. Going to be installing rear shocks and front struts on my 2003 Grand Marquis. The torque specs are greatly appreciated. Subbed! :)

Great video! Question though, Is there a trick getting the 3 upper bolts in? Once you get the strut in the lower controll arm I don't see any way of twisting the strut to get them lined up with the bolt holes.

Car has a lot of rust. Should be using rust dissolver on the frame and upper/lower control arm, then coat it

Why not just completely take of upper ball joint instead of losening the 2 bolts it’s only those to bolts holding it on there

Great instruction video but only one click using the torque wrench. Double check clicking will cause over torque.
