You tell me, most of the characters I was ever interested in throughout the MK franchise became disappointing gameplay-wise in MK11. Kano : been a longtime main, yet I swear this has been one of his worst ever gameplay appearances in history. Really? A zoner-grappler-brawler? His combos are barely even existent and his neutral game is just boring. Kabal : as much as people like him, his lack of lows (one of his grab moves one can't even be enhanced to combo into...), really slow start-ups and negative recovery for most of his combos...he's just mediocre. Jax : do I need to say anything here? My man's got done dirty as fuck and 70% of his playerbase are cunts who spam grapples and Back-2 whilst the rest struggle actually using him. I feel sorry for your loss as I feel that with *3 whole characters*
@Mark030a As a happy Jax player that doesn't use Quad Grab and does combos, he's not too bad in most more close quarters matches, but he gets fucked over by bitch ass spam zoners like Jade.

I've seen some great jade mains who get up close and personal with these insane combos. I didn't mind her because her role to me was she was the counter zoner something injustice 2 desperately needed. She's not top tier because this game had way more problem characters than jade.

At least shang tsung is the perfect counter pick against jade. With the smoke parry you can parry all of jade's projectiles, force lift is great bc of its good range (to avoid jades mashing uppercut) and can lead into a full combo, and jade's dodging shadows doesn't work on corpse drop, plus corpse drop falls onto the player from up top, so its pretty easy to hit jade in the air
Jade is not the most annoying zoner. Jade is pretty balanced. People are just mad because she’s hard to beat…sometimes. CENTRION is the most annoying zoner!! Hands down!!
jade is not an annoying zoner, shes an annoying character thanks to the uppercut, the mix up game, the pressure on block and her zoning is just a part of it

As a Jade main, I can assure you she is DEFINITELY the true definition of a risk/reward character. She's either overwhelming or outmatched, rarely in between. So while I'm sure she can be annoying to fight against, she has plenty of flaws that leave her open to severe punishment. Also, my build only uses 1 of the special moves you showed, the dark shadow one, and I can attest that it's slow start-up speed leaves me open to players who can teleport or have full screen closing moves (lui kangs kick, jax's punch, erron black's running dive/slide kick, etc.) Leave my girl Jade alone and go pick on the Erron Blacks and Scorpions of the world 😂
@@setog3261 I have played better Skarlets so I know what I'm talking about. They've all even agreed the mu is in Jade's favor and despite her tentacle, if Jade plays it smart and baits and abuses her d4, Skarlet can't do much.
I was a Jade main in MK11 back when I played, but I didn't really use her as a zoner. I would mostly just counter zone if I had to and get up close and use her 50/50 game to get in some combos. I find playing the zoning game a little boring, but if someone wanted to play that game against me I was glad to be using a character with multiple answers.
It does sound like the key to countering Jade is teleport moves, or at least teleport-like moves. Maybe Sheeva’s stomp is an exception, since it can be countered with that uppercut, but other teleport moves like Scorpion’s teleport, and especially Noob Saibot’s teleport slam, can catch Jade off guard. Also, at least that can be seen as actual zoning, unlike Jacqui’s full auto in MKX.
I know that Fujin’s wind push can hit dodging shadows because it does 0 damage unless it’s amplified or characters who also have long enough range like Skarlet’s sweep or f2. Other than that, short hop attacks, parries, projectile parries, and command grabs/tick throws would also come in handy alongside teleports.
@@Ori_Kohav Universally speaking, having the option to enhance a stage interaction by armoring through attacks sounds like a solid idea on paper but almost nonexistent in execution. Like its great to use a stage interactable to get some breathing room but using 2 bars of meter is too costly especially if you want to bypass zoning characters (Cetrion being the exception because her teleport feels like a "get out of jail" card)
don’t forget her normal razor range are unreasonably plus unless your point blank in front, although their highs and you can somewhat react to them, if you’re not expecting it there are some strings like b1, 2 which is a mid-overhead where the first hit leaves you at perfect range to cancel into the normal razor rang and but plus enough to keep pressure going.
I always found rain as the good counter pick because edenian spark could be avoided by Argus plunge and the purple could be baited by throwing a katar and then use Argus plunge to punish and then for the air razor rangs use Geiser palm catches them most of the time
i started maining jade too because executing her gameplan was so much easier than the other stuff i play. her playstyle and crushing blows are insanely easy to hit. shes such a cool character too so i cant help but love her. along with mileena and kitana she is probably my favorite character in mk. gotta love the ninja girls 🙇♂️

Using Shang’s corpse drop forces her to block high and when he has slide equipped, he can used that to quickly hit low which makes great for mix ups.

Not only is she safe but she is also plus in block, jade can do that mid string go into the plus nitro kick twice on block as long as she has 2 bars of meter and its still not punishable and you are forced to block it with taking all that chip damage. I swear i dont think nether realm intended to this but since were never getting an update again unless its for changing a skin for some reason we have to deal with it

Hardest true zoner I ever faced was a Shang Tsung with the variation of Smoke and Ground Eruption. In the right hands very annoying to play against
Pick Sindel. Wip and flip. Easy money. Pick the same vairation. Use Smoke vairation. Ez money.
Pick Jade. Use the projectile block. EZ money.
But OMG. GOD HELP you if you pick Baraka vs a Zoner. Or Jax. It feels so unfair.

Just play Zhang Tsung with smoke and sparks. Corpses projectiles are there and it's unavoidable by her anti-zoning purple thing
