When CR7 was there, everyone blamed him for hindering progress of Bale and that Bale is more important than CR7 for Madrid. But when CR7 finally left and Zidane did too, Bale failed to take spotlight. He got injured after 4-5 matches. He barely played under Solari and Lopetegui.
Is 7 month not enough for player of Bale's caliber to prove that he can lead RM after hogging 600k per week?

Zidane was the one who represented Real in the scouting trips of Bale before they signed him. He pushed for it. Strange and a mystery why there was such a big turn on Bale from Real and more specifically Zidane. Perhaps the injuries and uncertainty just became too much for Zidane to handle.

Remember that after Zidane won his 3rd CL where Bale contributed well & that night while the rest of the team/fans were still celebrating, CR announces that he will be leaving & Bale hints he is leaving by saying "in talks what to do in the summer with manager". Basically, those two ruined the celebration.. they could not wait a day to announce it. Which resulted in Zidane resigning as most was saying he is bad at taking care of or handling his players.
Zidane leaves & it turns out that the win, the threat to leave was actually a whole scheme to get a better contract. After Bale gets a massive new contract, he start saying "I will replace Ronaldo"... basically promising to at least be as consistent or promising as him. Except, he gets injured or just plays with no motivation. I liked Bale, his talent & even remember him running back like a madman & doing some bad fouls with his long legs... I appreciated that Bale but since that happened where he showed that all he cares about i money, I treat him like a waffler. He just wants money, he doesn't care if he plays or not, no motivation or anything.
People make fun of RM fans but they have no clue what Bale did & how long we put up with fake promises & performances that are just bad. I don't mind players doing mistakes or playing bad but I can't stand players that don't try or those that don't work hard, such a mentality ruins teams.
