Can't wait to see how the van turns out, pre-cut floor was a fab idea.
This is how I did my van super simple and super effective . I even managed to re install the fiberboard the van came with which fits so well it doesn’t move, almost floating on top . I did use four of the original ankor points too. I didn’t even use any batton underneath on my vw crafter . The floor is solid without it

I went abit over kill on my floor i put 10mm dodo then 25mm insulation board then a 5mm vapor barrier then floor unlay..one half has 8mm wooden flooring then other under bed I put carpet then loft insulation followed by 7mm tongue and groove...lol

Is 50ml insulation board too much as I was thinking of using that...
I just finished a Transit SWB .My advice to you if you can afford it is to get a pop top roof and get it done now . My build was really hard work cos I'm 6ft . I'm a tradesman and the jobs that should have taken an hour took all day . I did it on my own and it took me all time added up . Probably 5 solid weeks. It should not have taken that long 😆. I couldn't afford a pop top but if i ever build another it will be with a higher roof or fit pop top at the beginning of the build

Just a thought but would it be a good idea to have made some paper templates of those boards Whilst they were unfixed outside the van so if you needed to cut some in the future it would make the Job so much easier.

not sure i would put batons down..straight to the floor with that insulation..saves a bit of height.ply floor then lino or t&g but im sure this is going to be super..
i counter sink bolts into 18mm ply for the floor and then drill into that for the cupboards etc.

Wondering if the dodomat on the floor is going to be as effective as it is designed to be? Leaving the paper on the back and not sticking it down to the panels surely isn’t going too be as effective with its sound deadening? Great idea if it works

You could do worse than watch Mel's back catalogue of videos, that'll give you a good idea. You can get ideas from Bob Wells (Cheap RV Living) or Chrome (Vancityvanlife) - but I always think it's best not to get too carried away with romantic van lifestyles in other countries than your own. (the laws, weather, costs are totally different). 🚙
