Only reason I’m not too upset about the memory loss bit is- I feel that information is meant for the players. Not for our Traveler currently. The Abyss sibling wants us to complete our journey before they can have a proper reunion. It’ll hurt more for us than it will for our Traveler. Yes I’m still upset about it because WHY. Why not let them remember so both us and Traveler can have a moment to process and well- cry. Here’s hoping they still nail the genuine reunion and really make everyone cry man
Gonna have one of them dying in the e other’a hand probaly be what gives the survivor a rage boost
@@socketyellow3 I can definitely see that being a possibility. The abyss sibling might have a death flag on them and will probably die by the Heavenly principals. Then our Traveler is going to go through most likely two phases. Unrelenting rage which ends in loss (probably like Act 3-4) then come back in the final act to kick their asses and most likely resurrect their sibling. If none of this happens… well frick XD

My alternate timeline, the parent of both travellers arrived in the Genshin universe looking for why their children didnt come home for so long. Then once they obtain all the necessary info they force summon both of their children.
Aether arrives with his whole harem causing his mom to gushing for future grandchildren.
While the dad punish Lumine via butt spanking bec she make it so damn hard for her brother to find her.

All of those reactions was my exact reaction during that entire cutscene and dialogue. But I was content with what was given to us. Cant wait for more

She didn't do that though. Clothes did that. He was already dead and she was just seeing it through. Caribert also wanted it to be complete.
Hoyo pulled a palpantine.
We needed the ability, and the option at that to hug the sibling. It shouldn't have just been forced, if they gave players the option, and made it a tangible hug, that would continue until the player pressed enter/x/whatever input to continue, that would've fixed this whole scene. Even if Aether didn't remember. We'd remember.
So you want something that would create a plot hole just to feel good in the story?
The moment i heard the "you wont remember anything" i lost my mind. OF COURSE WE WONT. HOYO HATES US.

This whole thing had me in tears. Then they threw that at me and the tears were replaced with anger... and then tears again cause picture. The roller coaster was real

For some quest like the summer one idk bro I forgot with navia nilou scara and yeah did anyone notice when you fell down how scara said, “Morning. sunshine. You were having a nice little dream there, weren’t you? Not gonna lie, it was kind of cute.” I WAS LIKE HUHH?
I do feel the last bit ruined the quest where we forgot everything. What is the point of these quests if there is no character development. We had this lovely moment with the sibling but no one will remember it? Made the quest feel like such a filler quest... and these dainsleif quests are something people always hype for.
Honesty ever since the fatui were introduced I kinda stopped caring about our sibling or the abyss. Hoyo just uses the fatui way more and makes them more in depth plus the fatui trying to steal the gnosis makes the archons show up more which is always exciting
I wonder what his reaction would be though when he sees a photo of himself with lumine... Must've been shocked AF.
Too bad they didn't bother showing that part because... I guess waiting for this in 3 years doesn't deserve something of a reaction
The amount of disappointment I had from this quest was immense
I was really disappointed when we finally get to chat with our sibling and they tell us that the conversation they had will be erased I was raging when this happened
As a fellow mc lumine genshin player, i feel like having Aether as the abyss twin, he sounds a lot more helpful and on the good guys side. bud lumine just sounds pure evil somehow
Honestly i didn't accept it to forget but after thinking about it i accepted since it's not supposed to happen until the end of our journey but we got lots of information instead

I genuinely hated this quest after I completed it. This quest sucked so badly, considering how short it was and everything played out by the end.

This last quest left me so empty like damn took so long for another archon quest and then it ends so quick😢 and then they hit us with the you won't be able to remember what we spoke a about here. Like jeez hoyoverse ripping hearts here
What if this all was recorded in ley lines and nahida gets to know everything

there was literally no reason to make the traveler forget this interaction 😭 just make the abyss twin more vague about their plans but clear enough for the audience to pick up on it

when i see this i myself want to drop kick lumine out of sheer love.. like just fly in kick and ask "WHERE ARE YOU THE LAST 500 YEAR"
And should we forget the part where they got the photo and never made the traveller react to it?
This quest feels so rushed its unreal even for genshin and we waited 3 and a half years for this

Caribert deserved better. He deserves to grow up and a girlfriend go on dates be happy play with friends go to school and just be happy.
For me this the main reason I hate this quest. They give us a lot of lore and after that they say "nah, you wont remember that". Like they think this knowledge would break their future content. Sounds like bad planning on their part.
That whole "not-remember" thing is bullsh*t and you know it.
Thinks it this way, they do this every day, just don't remember. So, it's fine.

They make traveler dumb and ignorant, traveler was like : "I won't ask you about anything, I just want to know why we can't continue our journey" -🤡
traveler didn't even bother to ask "why are you not a descender".
@@ii-xl2vbThe answer to that question is already known if you pay attention and do the quests and then you call the traveler dumb when you don't even know the things that are already in the game.
I believe she did this on purpose - the "erase the memory", otherwise he wouldn't remember Caribert either. She spoke and erased the memory to "test" the power of the Loom of Fate.
