What was a defining experience of your childhood?
An open-ended question takes members of the Bethel community on a trip down memory lane: “What was a defining experience of your childhood?” Interviewees had varying childhood experiences, giving a wide range of answers including playing games with siblings, sports with friends and watching beloved TV shows, to life-changing realizations.
“For the last 38 years of my life, I [have been] terrified of fish,” said Bethel men’s golf coach and new campus pastor Nick Cocalis when prompted, referring to a story that happened to him when he was a toddler.
