I thought Jackie's bit was to eliminate verbal tics, not to entirely remove the word "like" from her vocabulary. lol
Yeah, those didn't count in my mind. Saying "like" to compare two things is different from saying "like" where it adds no value to the sentence and is just filling a silence.
Yeah for example when Ian said "like, this is like a Miss pageant, like, when you say, like, world peace or something. Like."

Yea when you say things like "things I like to do" or "This is like this" it is a proper time to use the word. Using like as a pause break is the only time it's improper.
true. when you’re describing smth like “that is like this” it stems from the word “alike” which is comparing two things together. only when like is used as a filler word should it have counted

It is absolutely bizarre that Jackie had to drink malic acid every time she used the word "like" in its proper context, and literally nobody questioned that, not even herself.
Damien did later on, saying "what's funny is that it's not once been a filler," so he saw what was going on but they'd already committed to counting every instance.

Personally speaking, from my living experience I prefer to engage in conversation without using the butt in juxtaposition for those words. Inferior vocal skill can be associated either in creative speaking or ailing vocabulary. Personally when I use the word I'll refer uhm as I'm confused and like directly correlates in comparison. Either way you see I also enjoy not shuttin the fuck up and type as long winded as I enjoy blabbering. "Like and umm" dull the senses in my opinion and seriously you can't take yourself seriously if you simply choke up on filler. Get to the point? Ok thanks for letting me rant. Have a great day.
@@gsleazy1975I also tend to type paragraph long things because I struggle to keep it concise. But using like as filler when you're not talking about something serious isn't a huge crime, unless it's to the point that every few words is a like or um.

Ian explaining what malic acid is is hilarious because it's basically a staple at Smosh because of Garrett,is mentioned way too often,including when Ian is right there and yet he's always making fun of Chanse for not understanding references like that LOL
To be fair, they also use Bitrex a fair bit and that gets explained every time they use it and malic acid doesn't really get explained very often, so he probably just got the two confused in his mind in that moment.

They all had interesting solutions. Angela’s solution would definitely cause people to stare in public. Damien was correct in thinking his solution was more normal than everyone else even though it was still odd.
