    Just flipped to flower on my first Coco grow (using Coco Loco) and liking the results but I don’t quite understand why my runoff EC is significantly less (like 40% lower) than the nutrient EC. Was expecting drainage to be higher EC rather than lower. I assumed it was the plants (GG and Blue Dream) sucking up the nutrients and jacking up the input EC helped but not a lot. After this video now wondering whether it’s a buffering problem. The Blue Dream looks great but the GG while growing very well always seems just a tad on the yellow side.
    I fertigate every 4 hours aiming for 15% runoff during veg.

    On the coco vs peat argument, I have to wonder if the sustainability difference is in the processing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like coco in general uses a lot more water, including it is usually triple washed and often the consumer washes it at least once as well. I think both are fairly equal in choices and sustainability for different reasons.

    Estuaries can be brackish, like the Potomac River. Even the marsh water is too salty.

    When I was growing in coco I started with the cheap stuff (like so many do), worst mistake ever. Constantly chasing your tail trying to fix the problems. Ended up using either Canna or Cyco, only 2 brands I would use.

    How many times could coco coir be reused when using Recharge?

    • @ScottyReal420
      @ScottyReal420  3 месяца назад

      You can reuse it a few times, you will have to add some fresh coco in each round to replace the root ball, but you should be able to get a few rounds in before it starts to brake down.

      you can make living soil with coco.

  • @hehawkiller
    @hehawkiller 3 месяца назад +1

    I’ve switched off synthetics and gone organic living soil. I will never go back to synthetics. Way better quality IMO. I also (not confirmed) think that synthetics is part of what blocks you REM. Since going organic, I’ve noticed my sleep is better, and my dreams are back. I haven’t had a dream in over a decade. Now I have them almost every night.
