Never thought I would get such enjoyment just from watching Pete spreading manure. Like Pete says, it's the simple things In life that give you the greatest pleasure. Stay safe Pete and Hill and we'll all be looking forward to the next time. God Bless.
@@jtlearn1 I really don't want to make Pete's video's religious, but not "believing" in atheist is not a thing. To say you don't "believe" in Atheists is to deny reality. In simple terms, because most of the current definitions thrown around are wrong, atheist just don't believe the claim, "A god exist". I lived out in the country when I was growing up. I knew spring was really close when I smelled the manure being put on the fields. It was an unwelcome smell for a couple of days but it has turned into a very welcoming memory.
The new paddles made a huge difference. Your "sling factor" is way up and out now Pete. I forgot how thorough your spreader restoration was. Even new decals all around! Looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Great job and video, as always Pete.
Up & down from one tractor to another, opening gates, fixing a tire….plus, multiple video angles & drone shots! Whew, my knees hurt just watching! Thanks for all the time & effort in making another great video!
Pete outstanding job with all your different camera angles! Nice job of mixing in tractor sounds with your drone videos, not always easy to combine the two sound levels. I'm sipping tea in Oregon while watching my favorite farmer doing his thing. I do miss the farming life so I get my fixes watching your channel
Lesson I learned from an old farmer on tubes: always feel inside the rim for any sharp metal and lightly sand down. Same with bike tubes. You sure are great with spreading ...manure and that restored spreader looks like new! Always love how your incorporate the drone shots and other camera shots...thank you for a nice Sunday morning!
Thank you for your real live farming I absolutely adore it. No music until the very end. Only natural sounds, I accept your little bit of music at the end. That sure is a purdie manure spreader…..I love that you filled er up and let her rip….who knew watching a well crafted and rejuvenated machine spreading poop on a Sunday morning would be so enjoyable…..thanks for the time …..
Wow, you got that spreading task done without a computer and display moniter, gps and auto steer! holy crap, just a piece of string. Love your vids. Thank you
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you spread your manure. Brings back so many memories. Emptying our old spreader by hand when the apron chain broke. But I would empty it 50 times over just to see my dad and brothers again. I miss those old farming days. 👍🇨🇦
Every time I see a manure spreader I see in my mind my 2 older brothers & me sitting out in a field of straw colored tall dead grasses with our backs against the metal rusty wheels of our grandad's old wooden broken down manure spreader. It had been around for generations. I remember my grandad going up & down the fields on his old orange tractor pulling that wagon when it was full of manure & it flying high in the air behind it. It was in the Fall of about 1952 (I would have been about 7 years old) and the three of us kids took a break in the warm sun before going up to the farmhouse for supper. We could tell by the sun (and our bellies) it was nigh onto supper time. We'd been far out in the what we called "the back forty" (which was more like a hundred) all afternoon, exploring the woods and stream where all we could hear was the the wind & gurgling stream. We'd been looking for any shed skins of rattlesnakes, copperheads, or just about any other kinds of childhood trophies we could take home with us that day. Back then we often had to be called back in by a big old bell hanging off the back porch, or our father who had a whistle louder than a steam engine. But, that day we could feel the change in the time of day and we could smell it in the air. I'm glad my happiest memories are of farming life & the smells of nature that went with it & all the animals, crops, tractor and machinery, corn cribs, hay mow, barn, double-seated outhouse, smokehouse & out buildings, cast iron wood stove in the kitchen for cooking and having one heated room (other than the oil burning stove in the parlor), the windmill and a pump at the kitchen sink with one out front of the "old kitchen" of that pre-Civil War orange clay Pennsylvania brick farmhouse. (I've kept one of those old broken bricks my whole life.) All of my grandparents were farmers, my parents were young farmers & WWII changed life for them. All of them and my brothers and little sister are all gone now, but they're all still with me in my memories. I can't drive down a country road and smell new mown grass, newly plowed fields, or even newly spread manure, without remembering. Pete...I cannot thank you enough for the impact you have made on my life during covid, and even now with all the world gone crazy. You are that ray of sunshine that brightens the darkest day. Thank you for your honesty, caring, steadfastness, & good humor in telling it like it really is. Even tho' I've not got a tractor anymore, I love your videos of auctions with your father or children, and the restorations you have done which will help so many by your teachings. Also, thanks to lovely Hillary for all she is and all she does. It's just not possible to find a better life partner than Hillary. Pete you always handle every obstacle big or small with a calmness that is rare these days. I would have been upset with my tire shop and asking them to replace it. It was clearly either pinched with a tire tool or during inflation. You didn't let it ruin you day and calmly moved on to enjoy the rest of your day. Wise man.
Oh my gosh! Every time I hear your tractors start up I just have to grin! Love thand and then to hear them run, and watch you do whatever it is. Makes me happy, Thanks!!!
holy crap that's a nicely restored spreader😅 editing makes tire changing look so easy. Watched an older video the other day Thank you for teaching me how to put up a field fence!!
Every year I find myself sitting down for breakfast on a Sunday morning and watching your manure spreading video; and every year, I enjoy it a ton! Also it's good motivation to get my own spreader hooked up! Thanks you two!
Wow! You do such an excellent job shooting and editing your videos. My son and I are learning a ton from you. God bless and protect you and your wife. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I like that you include the "issues" you have to deal with on a daily basis. It is a realistic, unvarnished presentation of real life. It's great that you can show us how to roll with the punches we all face daily.
My father used to say there goes the "honey dew wagon" every time he saw our neighbors out spreading in the fields. Every single time. Now I can't help think it whenever I see a farmer spreading manure. Odd how seeing Pete spreading manure or Hilary scrubbing the hen implements is relaxing. I look for your video's whenever I grab a tea.
Those views from way up are very nice. Shows how hard working on smaller farms are. Have to pay attention to everything the whole time you are working. Mind and body workout. That brisket waiting at the end of the day is oh oh oh heavenly.
The sun warming you, the breeze in your face as you ride your Farmall, the birds chirping, and the sweet aroma of aged fertilizer being released to do what nature intended. I sort of chuckled when I saw you wrangling that tire and removing the inner tube. Now that was commonplace when I was younger but I wonder if it's still a "thing" in modern day America. Most of us of my generation did all of our car work under the nearest tree and tire repairs were the most applied skill since most of our tires were bald and junk yard spares. Good times and I thank you for the gentler memories. I try to forget my past sins and dwell on these ones.
Dear Pete and Hillary, so nice to see you happy out there "...watching you spread your wisdom, humor, and manure. Keep doing you."- as Deb says. Love it when you drop in on Hillary. It's nice to see a glimpse of you too, Hillary. Can't wait for those sweet little fluff balls 'the chicks' arrive. Oh, and the aerial shots are always spectacular! Thank you.
Hey Pete, Hil and family. Enjoy every video. Pete you are the artist of the best American canvas - peaceful, productive and with family. Life the way it ought to be. Have a blessed Sunday. Michael, Norwalk Ct.
Pete, the persevering and passionate farmer with a proclivity for hard work, perennially spreads his plentiful pig poop to promote the health and productivity of his picturesque pastures, providing perfect grazing for his impatient cattle and producing premium hay.
Thank You Pete, i don't think the average person understands the struggle that face farmers on a daily basis. There is always a flat tire, something broken and something to fix.
Nothing like a sunny day to get things started. You are a proud man and you should be. Thank you Pete and Hillary, I so enjoy watch happy people...now I am real happy. ❤
Your positivity is inspiring! We run a small farm and RUclips channel, and admittedly get bogged down sometimes by all that needs to be done. Your attitude when having the flat tire is a reminder that we’re lucky to be doing what we love and sometimes a perspective shift makes a world of difference. Great video and perfect message for the day as we head out to do chores!🤠👍
The hard part was watching all that hard work making the spreader look so new! shiny, clean, get dirty, and layered with S-Stuff! And to add insult to injury, that Professionally mounted tire was flat. But at 81( Yep even I get older!) I remember back in the day before tubless tires came out, all tires had tubes in them and watching what you did was a normal sight back in the 40's. I stripped down many a tire the same way myself. on many of my cars. my Dad's cars. friends cars. seemed perfectly normal and watching you it seems you've been there a few times yourself over the years Pete. Glad the spreader worked like a charm and all the old rigs fired right up, that alone would have made my day. thanks for sharing. ECF
BEAU TRAVAIL. Le matériel tourne comme une horloge, pas mal les vieux coucous! Ca fait le travail sans peser 15 Tonnes par tracteur donc pas mal pour le sol aussi. Hâte de voir tes poussins. can’t wait to see your chickens
As a teenager, I worked on a dairy farm in Vermont. Small operation with an old manure spreader. Manure went from the milking parlor gutter straight into the spreader. Once in the field and down to the last yard of manure, I came under attack, as the spreader flung its contents forward on me and the tractor. I'm 84, and you always bring back great memories.
You have given more life and motivation than you may ever know. Thank you for being real. Thank you for sharing the hard. Thank you for sharing the unsure. Thank you for being here. Showing us that perseverance and thoughtfulness is not a thing of the past.
Enjoying Sunday breakfast with Hillary doing chick prep and Pete on the manure spreader 😅 On a very foggy, we still have snow morning. I am appreciating your sunshine and green fields.
Mr pete, you are the will rogers of this century. You're down to earth and so very wise. Your philosophy on life and living are words to be listened too and to be lived by. Thank you.
So good to see you smile Pete. Really cool to see the new spreader work and the 756 sounds great. Living in the moment, the best way to exist, no expectations just experiencing life as it is presented. So wonderful.
Hi Pete! I sure enjoyed watching this video almost as much as you making it. You're like a little boy with a new Tonka truck playing in the sand box when you're on your tractors. I noticed a better bounce in your step. I enjoy be on the machines too. Little bit of a kid in all of us I think.
Pete, The 859 Tractor runs like a clock . You did a great job on restoring the New Holland Manure Spreader it looks like a new model. As you stated flat tires are part of the job . The Drone filming of the manure spreader was terrific. Your calm demeanor and attitude around the farm is admirable. Even with the load of work ahead for You and Hilary.
I really look forward to your videos. I enjoy all of them, but i am really into your mechanic , restoration and farming with the old equipment. Also your bits of wisdom. Enjoy your success!!!!
Isn't it just great when you can get a full day in the spring when the weather is cooperating and you can get out and enjoy some tractor time?! That's my favorite. Pretty soon it'll be hot and muggy and those days on the tractor will be more a chore... but for right now... it's just about heaven. Great video!
You know Pete doesn’t matter what ur doing or how many times I’ve seen u doing it…. I love watching ur videos 😊 Thanks so much for putting them out there for us 😁
You make my time in hospice care just a little bit easier. Even when I have a hard time in pain and am unable to handle I go back to the time my grandparents were on the farm in my wheelchair getting stuck in the hog due and Grandpa using the tractor to get me out of whatever I got into on the farm. So keep helping us to go back in time to remember the good times. Sincerely! R.S.V.
I grew up in a little western town and there were large feedlots. In the spring, I would head out to one of them and the hands there were more than happy to load up the pick up with all of the manure I wanted. Then back home, spread it out. Wait a few days for that aroma to go away and we had the best lawns every year.
My favorite day of the week too. As this is the day I get borrow anther joke/riddle from Pete. My grandkids say they’re funny but I think they are humoring their old Papa. Who cares though because I hear from them often and that’s what counts for me. Thanks Pete and Hillary.
Just love watching you work , even when there is a problem ( tire) you just take it in your stride and fix it then move on with the day happily . Never thought l would sit watching flying poo and enjoying it with a smile , thanks for another great day. Chris from Australia 💜
Pete, I think that you should make a calendars with all of your tractors and make notes of all the improvements you’ve done to them,i’m just saying.
That would be cool
I would purchase that!
Yes with each one of you on a different tractor, Hillary, and the kids ,ect
I wish I could get my TYM to go that fast lol
I’d buy one and I usually don’t use a paper calendar.
Quite possibly the happiest man on Earth right there! Glad to see you enjoying the fruits of your labor with the spreader.

Yep, I could sit here & watch you work, all day. Im a semi drvr 52 hr wk, at 66 yrs young. Grew up central PA on farm, horsedrawn equipmemt.
Pete, your editing is spot on, really loved the shot where you drove the tractor and spreader over the camera and then told the camera to go wash off.
the aerial shots were fire! I dont need anything fancy or new though, just love seeing the updates with your farm
Nice calming video. Love day's that are "normal" no real drama and just beautiful.
Just a month ago, you were anxious to be spreading manure because that's the first job of spring. Thanks, Pete!
20+ years wrenching and I hate tubes! Pete you have the nicest collection of working restorations!
Enjoyed the music at the end, I grew up in Brazil and I recognised it immediately. Made my day😀
Thank You Pete, i don't think the average person understands the struggle that face farmers on a daily basis. There is always a flat tire, something broken and something to fix.
I love the arial drone shots- fabulous camera work !
Nothing like a sunny day to get things started. You are a proud man and you should be. Thank you Pete and Hillary, I so enjoy watch happy people...now I am real happy. ❤
So Pete, at the end of the manure run, guess you'll have to clean the crap out of your spreader!🤣🤣🤣
The best day of the year!! Thanks for sharing all of the fabulous feces flinging footage!
Newly rebuilt spreader slings the 💩 really nice!
ECF
Love the aerial shots, Pete! This was a top-shelf production. Steve
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
Pete, I love your positive outlook and I appreciate the great example you set by your reactions to frustrating situations! ❤
Thank you.
Manure spreader works like magic. And she's a thing of beauty. Congratulations on the new work gloves. God Bless your family.
Great job guys. Keep up the great job, we need you more than you know. 😊 I look forward to seeing you guys more often. Thanks 🙏.# 1 on my book.
So good to see you smile Pete. Really cool to see the new spreader work and the 756 sounds great. Living in the moment, the best way to exist, no expectations just experiencing life as it is presented. So wonderful.
There's Pete, sling crap around again. Nice drone views.
Hi Pete! I sure enjoyed watching this video almost as much as you making it. You're like a little boy with a new Tonka truck playing in the sand box when you're on your tractors. I noticed a better bounce in your step. I enjoy be on the machines too. Little bit of a kid in all of us I think.
I took your lead and stopped reading the national news each morning on the 'net! Now I seem much happier and don't miss the news at all.
Ugh, the news only gets worse. Good for you!
17:54 The relaxing music as the feces flies... 😂
a brilliant outlook on life Pete! Yes, stuff happens, but ya just deal with it & move on, not letting it wreck a glorious day!! Cheers from Oz !!
No way. I should use that baby powder trick on my bike tubes. Thanks for the tip!
I meant the IH 850
I enjoyed this today just like I did 5 months ago. What a great day.
Hi pete, it's great to see a happy, sunny day on the farm. See you next time.
Loving the drone shots there Pete....always good to get the Gods-eye perspective.
Sincerely!
R.S.V.
Hi friend love your jokes 😅 they are first class please keep the great videos coming friend from Scotland 🎉🎉
Happy Sunday Pete thank you and God bless
I grew up in a little western town and there were large feedlots. In the spring, I would head out to one of them and the hands there were more than happy to load up the pick up with all of the manure I wanted. Then back home, spread it out. Wait a few days for that aroma to go away and we had the best lawns every year.
The manure looks like it is rotted down pretty well looks nice and crumbly good to see your spreader working so well
Top vid Pete
Good to see you enjoying sunshine & machinery
Just the tonic to get over a long winter
Those tractors are looking good. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
My favorite day of the week too. As this is the day I get borrow anther joke/riddle from Pete. My grandkids say they’re funny but I think they are humoring their old Papa. Who cares though because I hear from them often and that’s what counts for me. Thanks Pete and Hillary.
I could imagine what the outtakes would sound like with me changing that tire. My hats off to you for keeping your cool.
Just seeing what you did with that tire was an education for me. I enjoy your demeanor and general approach to what you do. THANK YOU 😊
Just love watching you work , even when there is a problem ( tire) you just take it in your stride and fix it then move on with the day happily
. Never thought l would sit watching flying poo and enjoying it with a smile , thanks for another great day. Chris from Australia 💜
